Our little one just graduated pre-K last Friday it was such a bittersweet moment leaving CPCC after…read moretwo years, and we'd all miss the wonderful teachers and staff who made him who he is today. When he first started he did have to adjust -- I'm assuming it's because of how big the class is in comparison to his previous daycare. But it didn't take long for him to blossom, all thanks to Ms. Tonja & Ms. Lorraine's class! Then he moved to Mrs. Jennifer & Mrs. Cassie's class the following year, and he absolutely loved it. When we had to travel during my husband's paternity leave to visit my parents in Asia, he kept asking when we'd go back because he'd missed his friends and teachers. We clearly see the genuine love that's poured towards the kids not only from the teachers, but also the staffs. Not only they remember each of the kids' names, they also give hugs (and stickers, ha) on the daily basis. The principal is also very involved, which we appreciated. Would highly recommend anyone to put their kids at CPCC-- it's worth the wait and every penny. Can't wait for the baby brother to join in a couple of years!

It was very obvious that both of the directors really loved children and were passionate about what they do, as they should be. My son's preschool teachers were also super sweet and kind. The facility itself is very clean and very child friendly. They have safety measures put in place to ensure that the children are well cared for and protected. I always felt that my son was in good hands when he was there. The curriculum is advanced and really good to help children learn and progress in their Preschool skills. They do chapel every week, it was so adorable to see all the little children in their matching T-shirts walk together. We ended up taking our son out of the program because it wasn't a good fit for him. I don't believe that it was any fault of the teachers, just rather the class size being a little bit too big for him at the time. The ratio for the three-year-olds was 11 kids to one teacher, with his class size being comprised of 22 students and two teachers. Once we moved to a smaller class size, our son did so much better. For the price of tuition (only slightly less than the mortgage on our home), I do feel that the class size is a little bit big, there are many other programs out there that are a lot less expensive and class sizes are significantly smaller. The public school system is now offering free preschool education and transitional kindergarten to all eligible 3 and 4 year old children in Chino and Ontario. Overall, it's a great program and for many kids and parents, it will be a wonderful experience.

We chose Goddard due to their new and excellently maintained facilities, as well as their focus on socializing children. The kids are encouraged to participate and interact in a group leaning environment. The curriculum is adapted for each individual child's development and progress. I feel this is essential, especially when children begin forming social bonds with each other and communicating. For the younger toddlers, the staff has been great at working with parents in key challenges such as potty training and eating. The culture and environment is diverse, including cultural experiences, language exposure, lunch selection, and demographics. They school additional words in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish to add additional context to subject matters. Children are taught about ethnic holidays ranging from Chinese New Year to Diwali while encouraging parental participation. Socialization is promoted through group play and they are mindful to encourage participation. They approach seperation anxiety and behavioral issues with understanding and compassion, but prioritizes the emotional and physical well being of all children first and foremost. As mentioned by several reviews, there was an incident involving repeated and extreme behavioral issues with a child who aggressively bit numerous children, including to the face. Some of the bites caused bruising and bleeding. Goddard respected the confidentiality of that child, but children and parents talk. That child was promptly dismissed to protect other children from further injury and potential emotional distress. I truly commend them on how they dealt with that disturbing situation.

I wanted to share my experience with Kiddie Academy on Pomona Rincon. My child started attending…read morebefore turning two and was there for about nine months. Each morning, my child would start in the infant room before moving to the toddler room later in the day. Unfortunately, there was a younger child in the infant room who frequently bit others, including my child -- multiple times and without provocation. Eventually this child was old enough to also go into the toddler room so the problem followed. At first, I was understanding since toddlers can bite for various developmental reasons. However, the incidents kept happening even after I spoke with the director, Pam, who assured me they were monitoring the situation. In total, my child was bitten five times: May - left side of cheek May - back, broke skin June - arm June - left shoulder, broke skin August - left cheek (this one broke the skin and left a mark for months) We could sometimes see on the cameras that teachers were struggling to keep the biter separated. We talked to the teachers but they said they don't have a choice in who's in their class. The teachers were doing the best they can. Despite repeated assurances from the administration that the situation was being handled, no meaningful action was taken. Even after the worst bite, the one on the cheek that broke the skin, we were told the other child would have "one more chance" before termination. After posting my experience in a local mom group, a staff member apparently found my post and responded directly. Her response stated that "toddlers are naturally prone to biting as they're still learning how to express themselves and manage emotions," that the school had taken all possible steps to prevent incidents, and most shockingly they mentioned that my child sometimes hit and bit friends as well. I found it upsetting and disappointing that, instead of addressing my concerns, the response seemed to shift blame onto my child. I completely understand that toddlers bite. It's a normal part of development. What concerns me is that it happened repeatedly from the same child without meaningful action or communication. After the last severe bite on the cheek, termination should have been the next step, not another chance. My child isn't perfect either and it's telling that any behavior on my child's part only started after being bitten multiple times. If the administration had addressed the issue promptly, this wouldn't have escalated into such a big problem. No parent should have to wait for their child to be bitten five times before it's taken seriously. Ultimately, we decided to withdraw and found a different program. I hope other families have a better experience, but I wanted to share our story so parents are aware.

I wholeheartedly recommend this preschool -- it's the best one I've ever encountered. If your little one is getting ready to start school, make sure to have a chat with Miss Angela.

Soon after he would even talk about his new friends at school and what he learned from Miss Lily at home everyday. We had tried Everbrook and Kindercare for 2 months each prior, but my son would cry nearly the entire time he was there and the teachers would generally ignore him until he calmed down on his own. He seemed like he wasn't making any connections with other children during his stay as well. We eventually found Beautiful Minds Montessori, scheduled a tour and enrolled him to join as soon as a space opened up. Our son had already developed a distaste for daycare and would be in tears at drop off , but Miss Lily was immediately comforting and receptive to our son and helped him along the way. She kept us informed through his day and it really seemed like it was the individual care we were looking for. I suppose smaller daycares seem a bit weird compared to the large ones, but after our experience with Miss Lily's expertise and warmth at Beautiful Minds Montessori, I wish we had enrolled him sooner. On a side note, once my son starts Kindergarten later this year, I will be enrolling my daughter soon after as I know she will be in good hands with miss Lily!

There are 2 things really important for me, great teachers and a clean facility and this place meets both. But I will elaborate more on my experience. First of all my son was potty trained in 1 week!!! I couldn't believe it. 2nd and most of all, ms Elsie is amazing!! She is very Montessori knowledgeable and passionate about its philosophy, so you get the whole Montessori experience. I had looked at many preschools around the area and even chino hills but they were not truly Montessori. She is very kind and patient and that's how she teaches patience to the children, because she models it first. I saw with my own eyes how she resolved conflict among children and I was amazed. I had to take notes quickly! I would sometimes ask ms Elsie advise on how to handle situations and she would gladly advise me so I think I also learned alot... she was like our north star guiding us ... My son learned to write, read sight words, logical sequence, simple math, express his emotions and voice out what bothers him. He also learned to navigate group settings and follow rules. We waited 6 months to get in and only got 3 days half days, but we were happy with that because he was able to learn everything he needed for kinder, and was so ready for it he was not nervous nor cried on his first day. I see preschool mainly as a place to prepare children for big school, academically and socially and he achieved both here. My son was super attached to me and wouldn't even go out with daddy without me. But after a couple of months with ms Elsie he was saying he wanted to go to school 7 days a week. Now he tells me he misses everyone and everything about it, going there, learning, helping, the food... everything . Btw ms Veronica who is also there every day is also wonderful, she is also very kind and patient with the children. I would suggest checking availability early and getting on the waitlist, specially if you have specific schedule requirements... slots fill up quickly
