My son has absolutely loved every teacher he's had and when we see his old teachers in the hall, they'll stop and say hi and give him hugs and still remember his name - truly showing how much they care. My son can be a challenge at times but his teachers have gone above and beyond to work with him and give him additional attention - for which I'm incredibly grateful. The Director, Mrs. Stowasser, is absolutely amazing!!! Whenever I have a question or an issue, she's extremely responsive and very open to having conversations. Mrs. Stowasser herself has gone far above and beyond for my child many times and my husband and I couldn't be more grateful to her, as well. In our experience, each classroom my son has been in has had structure and a heavy emphasis on learning. When I chose this school, it was important to me that my child would learn - but also have fun, play with friends, and feel loved and safe during his time there. It's obvious that continuous education is important, as the teachers are often attending trainings and development days to further their knowledge to be applied with the children. Overall, our experience at Primrose has been nothing short of excellent!! I'm thankful we ended up at Primrose Longwood and would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a fantastic daycare (and Pre-K program)!!

My daughter has been going to this school for 6-7 months now. She had been in a different daycare…read morepreviously but was constantly getting sick and I felt there was other issues there as well so I took her out and had her at home for awhile before finding Kindercare. It has been a completely different experience at Kindercare. The teachers and administrators are sweet and caring. The rooms are kept clean, even the changing table have paper sheets like at the doctors office so they can make sure they are clean for each kid. They are constantly practicing hand washing. I know it is normal for kids to get sick some when they first start going to daycare and my daughter has occasionally been sick but it is less frequent than it was before. And there have been times other kids in the class have been diagnosed with the flu but my child and the others did not get it so to me that shows they are doing an excellent job at cleaning and preventing the spread. The teachers are in the class room constantly supervising the kids so my daughter has had less injuries and accidents than she had at the previous daycare as well. They have been working on potty training with her now and they go out of their way to work together with us. I was worried when she first started potty training about sending her to school in panties because I didn't want to make more work for them if she had accidents and they reassured me that they wanted to help and were glad to do whatever it takes to get her potty trained. They feed the kids healthy meals and snacks, not the typical school food, they eat yogurt and fruit and..something I didn't even know my daughter liked..hummus and pita. The craft projects that they do are so cute as well. I would highly recommend this daycare and when I need to send her little brother we will be sending him here as well

My oldest started when she was just 2 and went all the way through vpk. My middle child is currently on the same path. My youngest started at few months shy of 1 years old. This has been the best experience as being a parent and trusting someone to watch your child isn't always the easiest. They also offer an open door policy which I love. A week before thanksgiving they do a eat in day where you get to come in and eat "thanksgiving" with your child in class. The compassion and care they offer each individual child is beyond what I've seen/heard from other local daycares. They just recently changed their name, under new ownership, but the daycare has been at this same location for over a decade. Maria, their new owner came in roughly a year ago and is constantly updating the facility and adding to curriculum to keep exercising our littles development. My sister has to be one of the most OCD people when it comes to health, wellness, and cleanliness. So I know that she would not let my niece spend any amount of time in a place that she did not feel was sanitary. Secondly, kids are bound to get sick, just like us! There's no other way around it. Should I quit my job because I catch the cold my co-worker has passed around? I also find it terrible that one of your issues is "endless fundraising" to charities. There is no pressure to donate. It is completely voluntary. Furthermore, I find it appalling that you are complaining about fundraising for great causes such as "breast cancer." My sister happens to be a cancer survivor, and I've sadly lost several family members to this terrible disease. So if my niece's school wants to take one small step to finding cures for terrible diseases, then I say, more power to them! As far as contributing to the education of our youth's teachers, I completely agree with the other good reviewer. In today's economy, teachers are being let go, budgets cut, and education going on the back burner. I am more than happy to contribute to the training of the teachers who are enriching and educating the lives of our children. After all, they are our future. Also, lots of schools ask for help with supplies. So it's not out of the ordinary. And again, my sister has never felt pressured to pay for anything outside of the regular tuition. Lastly, the comment that got me the most heated when reading this awful, uneducated review, was the fact you were complaining about spending time doing an art activity with your child on the weekend. Are you kidding me? I thought most parents look forward to the weekend to be able to spend that quality time with their children. What an artistic and fun way to do this! I actually have two of my niece's artwork pieces proudly displayed on my refrigerator. She was so excited to hand deliver her artwork that she did specifically for her favorite aunt and uncle. By the time I got to the end of the review and read the complaint about teachers' gifts, I was down right annoyed. I find it nice for the preschool to offer up suggestions for those parents that want to get their children's teachers a thank you gift. I've seen several of my friends ask for teacher gift suggestions on Facebook. If someone can provide a list and make it easier, all the better! Next time you feel the need to leave a bad review of any company, I suggest you bring real disadvantages to the table, instead of these ridiculous ones. I will address some of her issues before I tell you how amazing this school is... So-called disadvantage #1: First of all, a 2 year old's bowel movements are unpredictable, if the toddler cannot tell the teacher he has pooped, it may take a few minutes for her to notice it.. Secondly, the sickness that your child was experiencing is a normal part of the child getting his immune system prepared for the rest of his life. It is unavoidable for children to be well when around other children but it helps prepare them for society and future illnesses. And FINGER is spelled F-I-N-G-E-R... your toddler may have learned that already from his Kids Together, go ask him. You must've forgotten to add to the advantages the part that your 2yr old was sitting down independently reading a book,which is amazing. So-called disadvantage #2 I have never once been specifically ASKED to sponsor a teacher for training. There is a generic request sent out to parents that would like to voluntarily participate. There is no pressure, no guilt.. just the ability to educate teachers to assist in educating your child. Personally you should have attended these classes and benefited from the English/writing classes. The ADVANTAGE is that the teachers are more prepared and it helps keep the costs of running the daycare down so your tuition is reasonable and the teachers can get paid more. So-called disadvantage #3 This disadvantage infuriated me.. this is what is wrong with our society. LAZY parents who do not want to invest time in educating or even spending time with their child. And I quote: "I did not see any reason that I have to spend time to do art work from the daycare on weekend, just because my child is too young to do anything" No child is ever too young to do artwork and it saddens me that you feel you should not help them on the weekend. It's selfish and pathetic. The teachers are trying to create an environment for parents to do something fun with their children and show all their friends what they created. Imagine how proud your child would be to walk in and talk about the amazing artwork he got to make with his mom/dad this weekend.. instead you probably just sat him in front of the TV all weekend because you needed some time to yourself. So-called disadvantage #4 I believe the list that was sent out was help the parents that CHOOSE to give gifts out. There were no requirements, no judging.. only voluntary. So-called disadvantage #5 First of all, this school hasn't even been open for 10years. Secondly the retention rate of ANY school (including the one your child currently attends), will always be low because of salary and the stress from watching 12 children all day. Clearly you cannot handle watching one child on the weekend because you are complaining about spending time doing art work with him.. Now, that I have disputed all of your disadvantages, let me tell everyone else some of the advantages you forgot to mention... #1 - This school has an amazing security system set up in which the parents must enter the clean and welcoming lobby and enter a password specific to each family. Only then can you gain access to the children and their classroom. I have yet to enter the lobby without a front desk manager, who always has a warm smile for me and my child. (They always know her name too.) #2 - Art work of the children are displayed EVERYWHERE! My child loves running to her room and seeing her friends and her artwork. She is so proud of it and happy to show me what she did. #3 - This childcare is Gold Seal Accredited from the department of children and families. They have a NAC accreditation as well which is something every parent should look for in their childcare, regardless if they attend this one or not. http://dcfsanswrite.stat... Also, if you look at the reports on the provider page, you will see almost perfect Inspections from the department of children and families. If you go to their website and look at the 'honors section' you will see other awards they have received throughout the community. #4 - The children are REQUIRED to wash their hands when they enter the classroom. This was amazing for me to see because it enforces health and general cleanliness of the children and the room. #5 - Their disciplining involves redirection instead of punishment. I don't know about you, but I prefer this method when someone else is left with my child. #6 - My daughter has LOVED all of her teachers. #7 - Flexible days #8 - Big kid cafeteria! I've reached my word max but I love this school and so does my child, highly recommend this school and happy that the previously negative reviewer has left.

Creative world in Avalon park was one of the worst mistakes I could have made. The management team…read morewas disrespectful and unprofessional. One of many prime examples could consist of: talking negatively about families behind their backs, or with other employees. The management team was also biased towards workers and students. You clearly could see favoritisms, and strong dislikes. One employee may get in trouble for being on their phone, while others get away with it day in and day out. One child may be targeted for a possible delay in development, while other children with severe behavioral troubles are overlooked, not given guidance to get the right help. Frustrations amongst the management team were often taken out on the employees which hindered their abilities to give the children the quality care they deserve. Creative world Avalon park is all about money. They enroll too many children at times, so they don't have to turn somebody away and lose out. Therefore that would lead to full rooms and sometimes being too short staffed, often resulting in the children having to be shuffled to a different room, leaving the kids with no stability. You may drop off in one room but that doesn't mean that's where a child stays all day. There was a child, way to young for a classroom, still on bottles, who had to sit at the table to have the bottle instead of being held, and having that one on one social interaction. This was all due to being over full in the proper room this child belonged in, and being shuffled to a higher aged room. Furthermore, what the parents ask or want is mostly a no go. Parents don't have a say if their child is on a bottle come a certain room, if their child still uses a pacifier or lovey, that all stops in certain rooms regardless of the parents want, or what comforts the child. Management was also lazy at times, not giving their full effort towards the daycares proper functioning. Examples could include: times passing by in the main lobby, where management was either on their phone, or sitting making beaded bracelets. Another example, even on extra short staffed days, it was far and few in between you'd pass by a classroom and see management step up and into a classroom to help it run a bit more smoothly. This daycare holds no value. The employees deserve a non toxic, supportive, stable environment and creative world Avalon park does not offer that. Children also deserve these same things and then some, in order to have the quality care they deserve, which is often hard to be fulfilled due to the treatment and emotions caused by management. The number of people that left creative world, or un-enrolled their children, is plentiful, and that is only the tip of the iceberg. I highly recommend looking further than the friendly smiles that greet you at the door when you walk into creative world Avalon park. There's better out there.

I've tried others like ladybird and Goddard, and they were ok. But nothing topped the Amazing atmosphere and environment that CWS offered. From being greeted each day with smiles from the front office, to the teachers (we love Ms Eva!), my son was excited to go to school to share the day with them. He did so many things like dissected an octopus, had a flashlight space day, and presented a project he made to other parents! They combined learning with fun and I couldn't be more thrilled! So glad they were doing hands on learning! (and not just drawing on coloring papers quietly at a table). This was hands on engaged learning in a safe environment and I wish my other kids had gone to this school too! It's typical daycare pricing and right on par with all of the other daycares too (think it was actually a little cheaper than Goddard). And they provided lunch and snacks. The communication and extra event nights were awesome too! They send reminders and let you know what's going on and I really appreciate all of the staff and caring given to my son. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you're considering a daycare in Avalon!

We wish all preschools were required to have this feature. The staff and director are so wonderful. The classrooms are very clean. We would recommend this preschool if you want peace of mind to see how your child is doing throughout the day. It is hard enough dropping them off sometimes and knowing we could view our daughter anytime was wonderful.
