Been coming here for years. When I was a kid we'd stay at Lake Papkeechie and this was a nice Friday night spot and a break from helping dad with fixing up the lake house. Was here recently and it appears they only do takeout now. A shame but honestly with COVID they probably got most customers this way anyways so it makes sense. Caught a northern pike and didn't want to cook anything other than the fish so we got the shrimp fried rice, lo mein noodles, and crab rangoons. Amazing accompaniment for the fish! And the food still tastes the same as it did 10 years ago. Glad to see this little Chinese spot is still going and I hope you stop in if you get the chance. read more

My go to when I can't think of anything to cook. Food is always fresh, hot and yummy.

Extremely bland food. We ordered beef & broccoli, chop suey, egg rolls and sweet/sour pork. Each dish was equally without flavor and the egg rolls were crunchy on the outside but mushy on the inside. We tried Happy Wok back in 2021 and we weren't impressed but decided to give it another shot. Bad idea. If no flavor is what you want, this is the place to go! read more

its meh, not good not bad just meh. ate here twice and pretty much how you'd expect a small town Asian restaurant with overly picky customers. the lack of a consistent customer base also contributes to the "meh" rating. so if your looking for something to just fill the belly that's not taco bell or McDonald's then this is an ok place. luxury Chinese? no not here maybe down in Indianapolis but here, no. read more

This place brings me back to memories of the Chinese food I ate as a child. Most restaurants at this point are making the small egg rolls with a crispy thin wrapping. The egg rolls at Happy Wok are the much larger with a great crunchy wrapping. That alone would give them 5 stars. The rest of the menu is great too, it hits for an American style Chinese restaurant. The hot and sour soup is generous in portion and in veggies. I have enjoyed every dish I have ordered from Happy Wok. Twice-cooked pork? Slaps. Governor's Chicken? S-tier. The restaurant is take-out only, but the service is quick and friendly. There aren't very many Chinese food spots in the area, but I'm glad this is the one closest to me. read more

Good food and generous portions. Rice is always fresh and tender and meat is delicious

The food is always tasty, well prepared and fresh. The Hot and Sour soup is especially good. Great having a good Chinese spot in the area. Try it out! Credit or cash. read more

We got a wide verity of food. It was our first time. I preordered for pick up. She said 25 mins. By the time I arrived it was ready to go. We got. Pot stickers. Egg rolls. Pork fried rice and shrimp fried rice. All the food was so fresh and good. The pot stickers are hands down my favorite. I'd literally order two orders for myself next time. The dipping sauce they come with. Chefs kiss. We will definitely be eating here again. Reminds me of a little place in cocoa beach Florida. Customer service was on point. The lady was so darn sweet. I would have taken photos but I forgot. I inhaled my food. read more

Great service, quick and inexpensive. Delicious food food fast which is nice and there is a pick up drive thru.

This place was great! We ordered take out for our family; Crab Rangoon, Beef & Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and House Fried Rice. Everything was hot when we picked it up and the price was VERY reasonable. It was ready on time in 25 minutes from when I called. We will be back the next time we visit the lake! read more

Always one of our go-to's when we are craving some good Chinese food. They are always friendly and quick.

Stopped mainly to get some egg drop soup because l have had a cold and decided to get Beef and Pea Pods. Mid afternoon. Wasn't expecting the best chinese food I've ever had, but that's what l got. Came out fast, but the entire meal was prepared to order. Fried rice was fresh, pea pods were crisp and clearly either fresh, or hadn't been in the freezer long. The egg roll was also fried to order and had great flavor. Just a very good meal. I normally get the Kung Pao and it's very good. But this was exceptional. read more

Food is usually good over the last few years until recently. Food seems rushed. Was under cooked rice and vegetables. Was not enjoyable. Owner used to be polite. Now just rude. Will not be returning. read more

Happy Wok never disappoints!! Thank goodness we gave Happy Wok a try late last year - as now we finally have a "go-to" restaurant in North Webster... We've eaten in a few times and have ordered take-out on numerous occasions. The food is always incredibly delicious and piping hot. The portions are indeed impressive when visiting the Happy Wok at lunchtime. So much value for your buck! Everything we've tried has been excellent - but I'd say my favorites are the Moo Goo Gai Pan and the Chicken with Vegetable Deluxe. My husband's favorite - hands down - is the Beef with Broccoli. We always have to get an order of their Crab Rangoons as they are indeed the best we've ever had. The fried rice is always spot on - not greasy as we've had at other restaurants... And by the way, if you haven't tried the House Fried Rice - go ahead and spend a little extra - you won't be sorry! Oh, and another thing that has really impressed us - the vegetables are always so fresh and crispy and the chicken and beef is always so tender and savory. Oh, and another thing I REALLY appreciate about this restaurant - No MSG. Oh my... I'm starting to crave some take-out from Happy Wok! read more

this is my all time favorite Chines restauran. they never disappoint. The orange chicken is amazing, love the chicken lo mei, I always request no veggies and it's perfect. family run restaurant, in a small town so you know the food is delicious. I always order when I'm in town. Love it so much read more

Great location for quick bite. Lots of typical Chines dish options. Dishes with shrimps are excellent!

Happy Wok was THE WORST Chinese food EVER. Everything tastes burnt. The Orange Chicken was gross and over cooked. The egg rolls tasted like cabbage. The Chop Suey and Mongolian Beef all tasted burnt. The beef fried rice tasted burnt. The only thing that was near edible was the pot stickers with a 4 out of 10. If you people think this is good Chinese food...you haven't lived...LOL. It's garbage. I went to pick up and the restaurant itself is dirty and needs a complete overhaul. Ick!!Tried and died. No thank you!!! PS...the lady taking the order was Rude City... read more

I've been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. They used to have the best cole slaw in the history of the world. Nowadays it is a good restaurant. With good food. Better than the Syracuse Chinese choices combined. read more

Stopped in for lunch while here in North Webster for a client visit. The service was very quick. I had the garlic chicken combo which came with fried rice, an egg roll and egg drop soup. Everything was hot and delicious. No complaints! read more

Some of the best Chinese and prices around . Love the beef pea pod ! Always quick ! Cash only business '

Absolutely the nasty! Haven't been here in 4 years now I remember why the food is terrible my group was rushed to order and we were literally the only people in the building. read more

This was formerly Chiam's, and most of us wish it still was. Here in North Webster there are not many options for food, so I have given this place a few chances. The food is actually not so bad, if you can get what you want. Yesterday I attempted to order sweet and sour chicken with grilled chicken instead of fried. The waiter returned and told me the chef said it was "too busy" to cook it with grilled chicken. Not exaggerating, but there literally was only one other table there. So I proceeded to leave my friends and spend my money else where. Another thing that is a huge turn off is the cleanliness of the kitchen area and service desk, for some reason they feel it is appropriate to have a mattress, yes, a mattress in plain view next to the service desk with blankets and all. I will say the female there during the day is very nice, its unfortunate that the chef is so rude. read more

I eat here often when in North Webster. They have a good selection of Chinese and American food, including a great pork tenderloin sandwich! The woman who waits tables is always there and likes to joke with diners. She is hilarious and very hard working. Food is reasonably priced and I usually need a box when I leave! read more

Decent food but will not compromise on any substitutions and will not take any special requests. Food is most of the time cold, wish there were more options in nearby area! read more

We are currently here, ordered a to go order an hour ago, still waiting! We went up to ask how much longer and the owner said I know I know go sit down. This is absurd read more

We ordered kung po chicken, chicken almond ding, egg rolls and egg drop soup. My husband dumped the kung po chicken, I didn't have one almond in my dinner, Egg rolls tasted like they were left overs and heated up in the microwave. They were like rubber. Soup was the worst egg drop soup we'd ever tasted. We placed our order to be picked up at 11:15 am, thinking it'd be fresh. We'll never order again! read more

Happy Wok is the only restaurant we go to in North Webster! The service is great, and so is the food. We love the pork fried rice and the pork tenderloin sandwich! read more

Out of all the restaurants in North Webster, I'd say this is the place to go! Their menu is extensive, there's certainly something for everyone! I'm a big fan of their egg drop soup, it's made very thick and almost creamy. It's wonderful for warming you up on a cold Indiana's winter day! Also, as other reviewers have pointed out, they are extremely fast! Don't know how they do it, but if you come in feeling very hungry, you'll be satisfied quickly! read more

We had a fun dinner at Happy Wok. The pot stickers and Chinese doughnuts are not to be missed!

My family has been here many times, either eating in or getting carry out. We have always had an amazing experience with the food and service. They use great quality ingredients in their food! We will continue to keep coming back! read more

Nice selection and most all are very good. Have eaten there for years. Owners are very nice and they are the staff.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant as of lately. Pepper steak is always delicious, egg rolls are good, and fried rice isn't too greasy. My wife has eaten sweet and sour chicken where she thinks it was cooked a little too long once, but generally has been just as happy with her food as I am mine. The family that owns the restaurant is always polite and kind, and the service we get is very good. It's not the newest or fanciest place to eat, but we don't go here for the atmosphere; we go here for the food! read more

The hand breaded tenderloin is amazing and was hot as well as the fries I would give it 5 stars but the owner lady isn't nice but the food was quick and great and makes up for it read more
