We would give these guys 6 stars if I could but alas, 5 is the most we can do. First of all, the pictures on Yelp don't really do this place justice. My son and I expected a quick fast food type restaurant but the inside was very nice, clean and comfortable. Every single person we interacted with was personable, polite and professional. We couldn't have asked for a better customer service experience. Now...on to the food! My son and I shared some pork fried rice and spicy teriyaki chicken entrees and some gyozas for an appetizer. The food came out so quick and was presented very nicely. All of the food was fresh, super flavorful and the perfect amount of spice. My son said multiple times after we left, "that was the best Chinese food I have ever had!". Go check these guys out for sure! read more

Try their spicy chicken! I have been to the one in Meridian many times and it was really nice coming to Eagle and having a healthy option for lunch. Same great service and food you have come to expect at Happy Teriyaki. They are quick and friendly and not to mention their food is excellent. They have daily bowls on sale under $7. For low carb options, omit the rice and get all vegetables. The veggies are full of flavor. You won't regret trying this place. Only negative is the parking lot spots are narrow and it would deter me from going there during busy times. read more

I had the hot & spicy teriyaki chicken and loved it! Definitely nice to have this option for fast dining/takeout in Eagle now. Portions were very generous and the chicken was much better quality than what you get in the Golden Woks, Golden Palaces, etc. Obviously this isn't fine dining but for a quick option under $10 it's hard to beat. Really good! Had the pork teriyaki plate with rice and veggies for lunch. Pork was delicious with great flavor. Very reasonably priced with a friendly atmosphere. I got it to go but there was a nice TV inside with football on and I could have gladly eaten there. Will definitely be back! read more

We noticed the same thing today as was mentioned in a review a month ago. No PPE was used by the front or the cook. We ate inside as the restaurant was empty, however it was a mistake as when checking on us and delivering our food, there was no social distancing. I was visiting my old friend in Boise from Los Angeles and I tried this place because teriyaki was one of my favorite dishes. I ordered spicy chicken teriyaki and, boy, it was very delicious. The food is good all right but when paying with a card, one is forced to add a tip before one can pay. You must choose between ten percent and some really big percentages. This is incredible! This is a "poke out" type place, not a restaurant where service is involved. They also have a large, blatant tip jar which is OK I guess, but to require a tip to use a card is ludicrous and I will not put up with it. I will not be going back, at least until they fix this outrageous problem. read more

I was really pleasantly surprised with this place. Teriyaki sauce can easily be botched by being too salty or too sweet. This place has it perfect. Portions are generous at the price point, the place was inviting, and everything I tried was good. So far, I've been here twice a week for a total of about 6 times and it's consistently a solid option. If you're a teriyaki fan, I highly recommend this place. read more

After eating here 3 times I thought my review would be fair. I really want to love this place since they are fast and convenient especially on nights I don't have time to cook. My issues are in hopes some changes will be made. The orange chicken - overcooked and dry chicken The noodles - bland and too thick (my kids wouldn't eat them!) The gyozas are way too Krispy The breaded chicken was dry too! Lastly the lady at the counter is nice but customer service needs improvement because right as I was ordering at the counter she picks up a phone call and begins to take down another order. We won't be coming back for a while unless I'm desperate. read more

We have eatten at Happy Teriyaki in Eagle for two years and have loved it. We placed an order to go last Friday and the food was awful. I called and ask if they changed cooks or recipes recently, she said everything is the same. I let her know our food was not like in the past. She said she would tell the cooks, that was it. Poor, sad teriyaki place. Had the beef teriyaki combo, greens and fried rice were fine, nothing special. If the high price for his average meal wasn't bad enough the beef was super fatty. I told the lady who took our order when she asked "how is everything" I was honest. Not great. She told me it was "ribeye" which I know it was not and she offered "another plate" and I thought, hell no... Zen bento is much better, local and maybe even a little less expensive. read more

We found this place last week and had to come back this week! Yummy teriyaki, Gyoza, Katsu. Huge portions and such fast friendly service. We'd only been in once and they recognized us coming back. Reasonable prices for guaranteed leftovers to take home later!! While we were in one gentleman came in and ordered takeout. He sat down to wait and had barely been seated a minute or two before they brought his order with a smile. He said are you sure you guys aren't jimmy johns :) funny.
