Burrito and fries
Rea T.

LOCAL taco spot -- Husband and Wife team. There's so many taco places to choose from, but this one has a lot of heart. It's literally on the street and mostly locals come here. I got a CARNE ASADA burrito -- which was HUGE and tasty - it lasted me 2 meals. What's cool is that you could add your condiments before he closes the burrito - nice touch My husband is vegetarian and he got a VEGGIE burrito - it's not on the menu but you can get it. They are happy to customize it for you. FRIES - the side of fries large order and what you expect when you crave that salty treat. FLAN CAKE combo -- so his Mom makes this homemade treat -- I haven't seen this type of combo before -- but it was YUM -- MUST TRY They also have a churro cheese cake that will try for next time! We got this all TO-GO, but you could eat in there if you want. There's a few small table and chairs and even a sink on the side. SERVICE: A+ PARKING - street meter, or residential nearby. There's a lot right near them but it's technically for the liquor store, massage, donuts - etc.

Woooow. If you haven't stopped by this place in echo park you are missing out. To start off the salsa menu is the most exotic street tacos selection. They have a spicy habanero that has my nose runny as I type this. They have a never before seen chicharron salsa and even a radish salsa. The meats are quality. The service is amazing the couple running this place are very friendly. Very convenient set up and location. Definitely check it out.

3 Taco Combo Plus a drink

First timer here! The taco combo was a perfect amount for two. Great amount of meat inside each taco and even stayed clean/upright in our 10 car drive. 3 tacos, rice, bean AND A DRINK?! Yes please. The two people working were so friendly and helpful when we were ordering. They walked us through what they had, what went in taco and allllll the hot sauces they had off to the side. Overall: 10/10 experience and would definitely comeback. PLUS they are open till late sooo late night taco runs-- yes?!

Asada Burrito

Came to try this taco place out because it was recommended friends this place was super yum. There was a lot of items on the menu. But decided to go with simple orders of asada tacos, asada burrito and asada mulita. It was on the salty side for all the items ordered. The red chili oil was too oily for me and it wasn't as spicy as they stated and didn't have much flavor. Green sauce was ok not spicy at all. The yellow sauce has a good flavor. Service was quick and the taco stand smelled delicious!

Plus, it's honestly one of the best spots in town for people-watching while you eat. Let's talk favorites. My absolute must-order is their al pastor burrito with everything. It comes loaded with tons of smoking hot, perfectly seasoned al pastor meat, melted cheese, and incredible flavor. Although I feel like the chorizo was a bit too minced? I wish it was chunkier. It was still very flavorful as a taco itself. The carne asada I actually liked better! The carne asada was soft and chewy, also great amounts of flavor. I enjoyed how generous they were with the gauc on each taco. These are definitely on the pricier side of tacos. Good quality for the price! We also got to try the flan and it was also pretty good! Very soft and caramel-like. Flan-tastic.

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

I arrived right before they opened and there were 6 customers already waiting outside, the food has always been outstanding and I think the pricing is also great though I firmly believe you get A LOT OF QUALITY for what you pay. That mesquite smoke is insane and you can smell and taste it in their food. Their most simple item I've tried, bean and cheese burrito, is so amazing! I mean, how can something so simple make me say "OH WOW" every single time? Must be the flavor added by the lard they use in their flour tortillas. I also reheated two of these burritos next day, they were still tasty! Their burrito 2.0 is hands down the best burrito I have ever ever had: simple, their asada is amazing, they season their beans and the guacamole is great! You can tell that it's house made and I liked the chewy texture of it. However, respectfully the filling felt and tasted like bean goo. I could only really taste the refried bean flavor which was strong. It kind of meshed all the components together into a gooey filling. I got this with asada meat and the meat was kind of chewy and not so flavorful on its own. Props to the tortilla though for not spilling everything out and holding it together well, but still a bit difficult to eat. I would ask for utensils when eating this dish. The green onion garnish was unique. I wish they gave more lime wedges because that helped elevate the dish. For $13 this wasn't too bad, but I'd rather get a better burrito from a street vendor. This is a casual eats type of place with both indoor and outdoor seating and tables. They also serve alcohol and even frozen alcoholic drinks. They have a free parking lot in front, but it can be competitive to get a spot. Overall, my experience here was just okay and I would opt for other spots.
