So when I went looking for transportation from airport to resort I was overwhelmed with so many options but Happy Shuttles stood out to me because of the simplicity and the good reviews. The booking was perfect, easy, clear, and reasonably priced. When we arrived at Cancun no joke there's a lot of services out there but the Happy Shuttles were easy to find. No real wait time, I have waited longer for my Lyft at JFK and going to get my rental in Vegas! The ride was easy, clean, the driver was very nice, spoke great English, and very friendly. The best part was they booked my return shuttle right there and then. So I was set for when I came home. They picked us up on time actually a bit earlier and I really loved that. The drive again was sweet, clean, friendly driver, and got us to the airport with plenty of time. I will make sure to book with them for my future Cancun trips. read more

We wanted a safe reliable private RT airport/hotel transfer. Found Happy Shuttle on Yelp and booked a RT transfer via Happy Shuttle's website. Rates are quite reasonable especially if you have a coupon (found on FB). You must provide the exact # of passengers and your RT flight information on the reservation. We received an email confirmation from Happy Shuttle with clear arrival instructions. Advice: After you get out of the baggage claim area, make sure to stay away from all the timeshare people that would try to get your attention or ask you for your hotel transfer information. Just keep walking until you reach outside. Happy Shuttle representatives are located outside in the back. The check-in process was quick and then we were escorted to our transfer van. The van was clean with AC. Very friendly and personable driver. Remember, there is no $ refund if you need to cancel your rides, so plan accordingly. Overall, Happy Shuttle provides a clean clear comfortable safe & reliable transfer experience to/from hotel. On return, we received an email confirmation from Happy Shuttle and the driver showed up on time. We got back to the airport no problem. A completely smooth transportation experience. When we arrived curbside for pickup it took almost 30 minutes for shuttle to arrive...that was not terrible but not the quick service we expected. Pick up from the resort was a disaster we checked out of the hotel early so we could be out at the lobby before 11 even though the representative told us 11:30 for pick up we did not want to them. We checked in with the Gentlemen on the curb from the resort who were directing traffic and waited. By 11:35 they became worried and told me to call Happy Shuttle. I called and was told my reservation had been cancelled due to "no show". No calls missed on my phone, but I did have an email from 10:14 saying they were cancelling my service. Made it to airport via Taxi will never use Happy Shuttle again!!! read more

While we had airport transfers included in our package, our agent recommended a private shuttle due to us having 3 small children in tow. It was meant to avoid a long transfer ride and be less stressful. Based on overall reviews, we chose Happy Shuttle. The booking was fine and seemed smooth. It was when we arrived at the airport in Cancun, where the trouble began. It seems like every single flight into Cancun arrived at the same time or something, as the place was PACKED. The lineups to just get off the plane, and then into the customs area were incredibly long. Then getting through customs was another long delay. To top it all off, it took forever to have our bags offloaded - presumably due to the volume of travellers. Through this whole time, I was furiously communicating with Happy Shuttle, keeping them updated of our situation. At first, they were very understanding about it, then became increasingly pushy about our delay. This was just adding more to our already super stressful situation. The dispatcher finally messaged me about 10 minutes before we got out that we were over the time limit and they will be charging us with a no show. This is NOT good customer service at all. We found the Happy Shuttle greeter and he was very nice and totally understood our situation. He even said, it's no problem as the driver was still around and he would get us on. Then, when he called it in, he was again told by dispatch that we are no shows and would have to pay another $80 USD to complete our transfer. This was felt like total blackmail, but by that point, we were exhausted, starving and it was getting dark. Looking at my family, I didn't feel like I had much choice but to pay the forced fee. What made me the most upset was that they tried to justify the charge, as the "driver had to turn around and come back JUST FOR US". I saw the shuttle parked out further and they just pulled up closer to us. But again, what am I supposed to do by that point. Again, it felt like total blackmail. We had originally booked the round trip private service, so based on this initial experience, we were so spooked that on our return transfer, we sat outside of our hotel super early so we wouldn't be missed again. While we were waiting, the driver from the included group airport transfer approached us and since he was early, we went with him. Long story short, save your money and some unnecessary grief. Don't bother with a private shuttle service, and certainly not Happy Shuttle. read more

It took a minute to find the go between at the airport but from there everything was seamless. The booking process was super easy. We booked round trip to and from the ferry. We purchased the package that included our ferry tickets- super convenient. And not super pricy! When we arrived in Cancun, we still had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our driver to arrive. When he arrived, he did not have the beer that we ordered/ paid for (corona). Instead, we were given Coors Lite. Somewhat of a bummer. Our driver to the ferry was nice, but actually cussed out a car that was attempting to merge in front of him. This made the rest of our ride SUPER uncomfortable. Returning from the ferry to Cancun, our driver was was FABULOUS. He was on time and waiting for us. He was incredibly nice, & drove quickly but safely back to the airport. I believe his name was Raffaele (?). He was great. Over all, we would probably book with Happy Shuttle again. I went with a Happy Shuttle to get us to and from the Cancun airport to Kore Tulum in Tulum, due to the positive reviews. I'm so glad I did! It was a bit of a mission to find them outside after landing at the airport following their instructions but once we finally found the guy in the light lime green shirt and khaki pants, we were good to go. It is only one guy and he was running around everywhere, that's why it was hard to spot him. Many people were also using happy shuttle, so he was managing all the arrivals, same time we got there. We hired a private shuttle which was $184 USD round trip. That's per vehicle, not per person. So my gf and I just split the cost which was something like $126 Canadian, each. Not bad considering our hotel was 1.5 hours away. Miguel was our driver from the airport to the hotel. He didn't speak very much English but tried his best to understand and to speak to us. He drove comfortably and got us to our hotel in the exact amount of time that was estimated. 1.5 hours. 5/5 from Miguel! On our way home, we were picked up from our hotel by Luis. He arrived about 9 minutes before our pick-up time. He was a pleasure to have as a driver and we chatted most of the way. He was very knowledgeable of the different places we would pass along the way and gave many suggestions for the next time we come to Mexico. 5/5 service again! Vans was huge especially with just being my gf and I the vans are VERY air conditioned. I had what I thought was a simple request. Transportation from the Playa Del Carmen ferry terminal to my Cancun hotel. I tried on the website and was able to select the ferry terminal and my hotel name but was confused so I called the 800 number. The agent was extremely rude to me and immediately spouted "We don't provide that service". I asked him why would the website allow me to book it (and pay for it) if they do not provide the service. He then immediately hung up on me! So I used their contact form and contacted the company and relayed that experience to them again. I received a pleasant reply from a manager who said that yes they do provide such service and then asked for my travel dates, etc so he could book it. However, he said not a word about their agent or his rudeness and hanging up on me. I booked our shuttle online prior to our arrival. The online booking process was simple and quick. Our experience was excellent with our driver. They lied about having car seats, when we got there the seats were missing straps and completely unsafe. Then when we wrote the company they shrugged it off in a way that made us realize this is totally normal practice for them. Not quite sure how I found Happy Shuttle, but I've been using them for the last year for frequent trips to Cancun. Often times I've flown alone, so having the peace of mind knowing that I have private transportation to my hotel from the airport has been great. If you've been to the area before, you'll know that an airport taxi has a huge surcharge on it and it can easily cost you $100 to get from the airport to your Cancun hotel. Happy Shuttle is about $60 for round trip private transfers, a huge savings. I always book in advance, and the website takes note of your flight info, so if you're late, they'll know why. Once you exit the terminal push past all the annoying time-share salesmen and other transport companies and ***LOOK FOR THE LIME GREEN POLO SHIRT***... sometimes even across the road on the other median. They are always away from the hustlers. They usually have your driver in about 10 minutes after you get to the greeter. I've always found the drivers to be really professional and I've felt very safe. Love the added safety features of the company, like signing off on getting your bags etc so you don't forget anything. I reserved online and payed in advanced for happy shuttle service to pick my friend and I up (two 25 year old females) from the airport and transport us to our hotel. I booked a round trip airport to hotel private drive in early Feb 2024. Happy Shuttle was great about confirming by email and also sent specific directions on how to find them (in the craziness of the Cancun Airport, this was much appreciated). As soon as I found their rep, who had a sign and was easy to identify, he walked me to the next step and my driver was there to pick me up within 10 minutes. Everyone was friendly and efficient and the driver was very patient at the resort gate when the security team didn't have the proper information to let me in. The vans were both clean and the drivers pleasant and helpful, though they both had limited English (not a complaint). On my return, they confirmed my pick-up the day before by email and the next day, the driver arrived 15 minutes early. The admin staff was also on top of my flight information in both cases so they could make sure I had enough time to check in. Literally my first review of anything in over five years but I just couldn't stay aside and not to say anything. Had used Happy Shuttle Cancun for at least four times prior so I am a returning costumer. Well, I was. Had called and booked two separate round trips. Booked them both under my name per instructions of the Happy Shuttle Rep gave number of people and flight numbers. Got the link and paid right away. Come the day of when the first set of three people (including myself) got to the hotel with no problem when my friend with her elderly 87 year old mom who can barely walk had to wait for almost an hour not being able to sit down before they got put on their bus. The reason being is they got the names confused and only after calling them five times each time the rep was assuring me they got on the bus now when they lied every single time which they didn't. They were ignored! After talking to the supervisor he said they are will to refund me $14.95 for an elderly disabled woman waiting for over an hour. Their strive is not even remotely close and they are not willing to admit that it's their own instructions that messed up this whole process. What am saying is there are plenty of RELIABLE transfer services in Cancun and for $200 for the round trip this is NOT one of them. No apologies nothing at the end! One thing for sure, never again! Jet Blue cancelled our flight the night before our departure time. They rescheduled our departure 1 1/2 hours earlier. I contacted Happy Shuttle right away and asked Victor if we could be picked up earlier. He proceeded to tell me that they needed 24h notice for a change of pick up. I explained that this was not our fault and that I had been a customer of Happy Shuttle probably for 10 years. He refused. Luckily, airport check in was very quickly and the flight was delayed. Happy Scuttle has lost us a customer. Also, since we own property on Isla Mujeres, I have been recommending them to our guests. But now I will steer my guests to other transfer companies. I recently traveled alone to Cancun and was nervous about getting a shared shuttle to my resort. I contracted with Happy Shuttle to pick me up at the international airport and transfer me, and just me, about 45 minutes north on the island. It was the best $105 I've ever spent on round trip service! The email confirmation provided precise details on what to expect before, during and after my trip. There was ample email correspondence regarding where to pick up the shuttle, including the platform number and even the color of the coordinator's t-shirt! Never having been to Cancun, I felt confident of the exact location. I checked in and the coordinator quickly radio'd to my ride that I was ready for pick up. I was also given a check out time right away that I was told would be confirmed the night before my departure. I was happy to only endure a short wait of about 5 minutes before my driver arrived. The entire drive out to the resort, the driver shared the pride he has for his country and family and made me feel welcome and safe. I was told to confirm my pick up time the night before the end of my trip, and the staff was very responsive via email. My driver arrived on the dot to my resort, and though it was a little bit of a hurried and rough ride back to the airport (even though we had ample time), I was overall happy with the total experience. Considering the fact that I was originally booked on a shared shuttle that received way too many 1 star reviews, I'm beyond thrilled that I chose to cancel that reservation and book with Happy Shuttle.
