This is a great add to Hackensack and puts a much-needed round peg (pizza) in a square hole (box) for the locals and the influx of summer residents. The build-out and decor are well done and cozy. I love the mid-century *antiques* and the open space. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The pizza is great. I also appreciate how they keep it simple. Pick a pie size and then choose the toppings you want on a price/topping approach. I have nothing against places with recipe pies, and I enjoy that at places like Rafferty's when I want something like the Bacon Cheeseburger pizza. But sometimes, with diverse menus and lots of specialty pizzas, it's hard to figure out what to get or what is on a pizza with a fancy name. This takes all the guesswork out of it and also, I imagine, helps the business model stay sustainable and manageable by keeping things simple and ingredients to the essentials. My go-to is sausage, and it did not disappoint. I saw the pepperoni pie and was thinking about that next time. The pepperonis are huge and smell great. They aren't coin-sized, more like a coffee coaster! With the Rendezvous brewery a few doors down, this part of town is going to help bring back Hackensack. Keep up the great work.

This was reeeeally good pizza!! Crust is thin and perfect. Veggies were fresh and plentiful. The pepperoni was huge.

Pretty good pizza (if a little spendy, IMHO). Be REALLY nice if they opened up earlier on weekends.

My elderly mother recently moved to Park Rapids, and when she visited me in the Twin Cities, she brought along a Dad's pizza - good stuff. BTW, I love the humor in the written baking instructions! LOW CARB: I was thrilled to discover that it's easy to eat low carbohydrate carnivore style at Dad's. They have a Keto Pizza with no crust. (They also offer a cauliflower crust if, for some reason, you can't live without stuffing some plants in your gullet.) The crust-less pizza features all of your toppings, artfully layered in an aluminum baking pan. Of course, I got the meat lover's version of the Keto pizza. I noticed they layered the bottom with slices of ham too. Very clever. I loved it. If I lived closer, I'd be treating myself to the crust-less Keto pizza every week. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and I'd eat there again any time. Support a local family owned business and eat some Dad's Halfway There Pizza. Thumbs up! -Maxx
