I went in just to shorten my nails since they were way longer than I wanted. I asked them to clean up the shape and repaint them exactly how they already were. Instead, she grabbed white polish, changed the shape, and didn't even paint all the way around the nail. It honestly felt like she didn't even want to do the service. She started doing a white French tip, and when I asked her to keep the same color I originally had, she seemed annoyed. Now the polish is all over my fingers and under my nails, and the shape is completely off--every nail looks different. I'm going in there and got a full set of nails and the lady who did my nails couldn't understand English to well. I asked her to do coffin length and I ended up with square. Then she told me that the design lady wasn't there that day so she attempted to do it design and it was awful . She got the paint on my fingers.. the next day I broke one because she made it super thin it ripped off . So I went back to the salon and talked to the owner and he said the only thing he could is to repair it because I asked for a full refund because of the shitty work she had done and he said NO REFUNDS! The polish on my toes was spotty. worse was lies. the attendant walked away while my feet were soaking. she left the water running evidently and it over flowed. my lovely Vera Bradley purse was next to me on top of my sandals and both soaked. the stuff used in the water caused the coloring on the purse to come off on my hands especially the black. it fully damaged the purse. no apology or offering to pay. she lied to person in charge saying it did not happen. she did a horrible job on the fingers was rough with the smoothing tool. left stuff on my legs. they would not let me leave without paying. i said walking out another person said she had not had a good experience. I am VERY upset with how things went during my visit to happy nails yesterday. I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS BY THE WAY,but the TV's in the place were asking for reviews so here is mine. I have been going here for YEARS and I've always loved it and have always had a wonderful experience. My tech was very rude from the moment I sat in the chair. I had picked out a color that coincidentally another customer had also picked out. No big deal. My tech sat down and kept telling me if I get this color, it would not show up. No problem there, she was just giving her advice. I told her it was fine because I still had the same EXACT gel color on my toes from the last time I visited, so I knew it was going to show up. She kept insisting I change my color, I kept insisting here it was fine that I loved the color and I told her it was the same color I STILL HAD on my toes. I asked her confused, "isnt it the same color I have still on my toes?" she said yes but it wasn't going to show up. We kept going back in forth - her trying her best to get me to change the color. I felt as if I was a bother to her for getting it cause she didn't want to wait until the other customer was done with. she said to me VERY SNOBBY , " I'm just telling you, if it doesn't show up, it isn't my fault!!".. I was shocked with The attitude over a nail color. It was the way she said it that really threw me off. moving forward she gets the color from the other tech once she was done with it, and starts painting my toes. It's showing up as I knew it would (baby pink) lol and SHE DROPS THE PAINT BRUSH ON THE FLOOR!!! takes her time picking it up, AND PROCEEDS PAINTING MY TOES!! UNSANITARY!! I was very uncomfortable at this point but trying to make conversation and trying to be nice, I ask her name, she looks at me like like I have no business asking that?? I literally had no bad intentions when I asked the question?? I was just trying to be friendly, and what if she had done a good job and I wanted to come back and request her as a tech again?? She again sits there with a SNOBBY demeanor "ummm ummm uhh, my name is BOO BOO." I'm like ?? Okay boo boo??... at this point I didn't want to talk to her anymore and felt very awkward. proceeding to get my MANICURE done, she sits me down, her real name was Elizabeth , i knew this from her COVID 19- CERTIFICATION at her station. her area is dirty. She did not push back my cuticles she did not cut my fingernails, she did not clean up my nails AT ALL. Just went straight into doin my nails. everyone else around me is getting this done. I look down and there are OLD LONG YELLOW FINGERNAILS ON THE CLOTH UNDER MY HANDS FROM THE LAST PERSON THAT SAT THERE BEFORE ME! they were not my fingernails because SHE DIDNT DO ANY PREPPING ON MY NAILS. that was DISCUSTING. isn't she "COVID 19 Certified" ?!??! very unprofessional. So she dropped the paint brush on the ground while doing my toes and continued to paint - THEN her nail station had OLD YELLOW FINGERNAILS. Lol I really can't make this up. sitting there I'm just ready to go at this point, she is talking in a different language to her co worker beside her - obviously I cant understand them which I don't care about - but she said " BOO BOO" then they both started laughing and making jokes obviously. At that point I knew they were talking about me from when i asked her, her name. I was VERY upset. when I left I paid my 77$ .. which again I do not care about the price but the visit from the moment I got there was TERRIBLE, UNSANITARY, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND UNWELCOMING. I know this may sound trivial but I wanted to save some unsuspecting customer from ever stepping into this establishment. It is called HAPPY NAILS in Lillington. I had my nails done last Friday with gel, which I was talked into stating that it would last two weeks. Well it has been all of 5 days later and my nails look horrible. They are a quarter of an inch from my cuticle and my left hand is discolored. When I went to the place to see what they would do the woman could literally see nothing wrong (which should tell you something right there). She then proceeded to tell me that don't you know your fingernails grow? Well at that rate they will be an inch longer by next week. As far as the discoloration she said nothing. I said I'm not asking for my money back I just want this stuff off my nails. She then told me it would be 10 to do that. I said it was the worst manicure ever given and she said well just don't come back (as if that needed to be said. I see where they make their money with REPEAT customers. It is all of those who have to come back to get it off. Please don't put yourself through that and the rudeness of this woman. I should have looked at yelp, if you do you'll find customers just like me. As for those who praise them, I don't get it. I have been a customer of Happy Nails for years and have been very "Happy". However recently they have come under new management. And I am SO unhappy. I have had Gel Nails for years. The new guy came to my table to remove my old nails. When he completed removal he commenced to cut off ALL of my nails. He demanded I needed them cut. Hey then took out nail tips to glue on me and I stopped him and asked why? He said to make them better Quite "trust me" so I did. Wrong thing to do. My mom, my daughter -age 8, and myself went to get pedicures, my mom got a gel manicure, and my daughter had her fingernails painted. Needless to say, it wasn't a cheap visit. I had to go back to the salon not even an hour later because the paint was literally peeling off my daughter's nails. I spoke with the manager, Liam, and he told me that the neon colors are a cheap polish. He repainted 2 fingers, but by the next day, over half her nails had no polish. He tried to get me to put the gel/scented polish on saying that it would last longer. He said it was the best for children. He never offered to let her pick a better polish out and fix the mess and neither did he offer to refund my money. My mom's gel manicure had cotton stuck all over it, where they applied alcohol to her nails when completed. We went to another salon about 6 weeks ago, my daughter had her toes painted for the same price, yet it lasted 6 weeks and still looked really good. Some of the employees laughing and speaking their language made for an uneasy feeling, especially for my mom, who was very self conscious about her feet. Not to mention, it was her 1st pedicure.
