The worst pedicure I've ever received in 38 years of my life! Older lady never stopped talking, not even for one second. Was very aggressive with hand pats to change feet, massaged with mostly water from pedicure tub, had to ask for cooling gel and mask after she had not done them but lied and said she did. Do not recommend! Left without getting color because I am going to a different place for another pedicure. Massage wasn't even a massage.. was just rubbing the same spot on my legs over and over. Anna does such a perfect job on my nails and what a beautiful soul she is, and her painting skills are on point, she can do any design just bring her a picture. My mom got a pedicure and it was the speediest thing I've ever seen. I dropped off my daughter & a friend to have their nails done while I went to grocery store. I came back and paid $90 plus $10 tip for 2 dip manicures and left. Heading home I asked my daughter how they did and she said they didn't clean her hands, clip her nails or cuticles and only filed a little bit. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! To pay $100 for them to have their nails dipped in color only. I know precautions are taken for COVID-19 but I've had my nails done at other salons during this challenging time and got a very good manicure. Upon looking at the girls nails, one of them didn't even appear to be totally covering her nails. We will not be returning to Happy Nails as I am very UNHAPPY!! read more

Had the last minute opportunity to stay a few nights at Sunset Beach, NC and didn't have enough time to get a pedicure before I left! Thankfully this salon was open and taking walk-in's (they also do appointments) this past Thursday. Apparently this business is under new management. However, I am VERY pleased with how smoothly my visit went. I took my mother and there was barely anyone in the salon. Plenty of staff available for the day we went during the week. My pedicurist took his time and really payed close attention. Very relaxing environment and I did not feel rushed unlike other nail salons. More importantly the pedicure prices were SO affordable! I received the middle range pedicure and it was cheaper than the almost normal pedicure at the salon back home. So I had called a day early with my mother to get our nails done. We wanted a sns for me and gel for her, plus our toes. We walk in the next day, with 3 people in the room and 4 people working. We walk around trying to see what colors we want to do our toes. As we get seated a woman brings us a SNS color strip, we asked the man if it was also gel with it because my mom just wanted gel, he replied yes so we continued. As he finished my toes we go to the table to do my nails and he asked if I would like long or short nails, I replied long and next think I know he is cutting my nails. Going to put acrylics on. First off I didn't call to have acrylics I already had natural long nails. As I tell him I wasn't wanting acrylics he picks up my cut off nail showing me he has already cut my nails short. Not like I didn't already know that but you can't go back once you have done something. So I told him to continue with the acrylics because I had just got engaged and the nails are for my engagement pictures and I didn't want short nails. This part of the sns was going smoothly until he STOPPED WORKING ON ME TO LOOK AT HIS PHONE. How unprofessional, you are with a customer who is paying you. As he continues he gets to the end when you have to file the nail and all I really have to say was I was bleeding. He had filed my skin on 8/10 fingers. When I say I feel like I have a 100 paper cuts on my hands my hands hurt. I was not pleased with this experience and I don't recommend you coming here at all. read more

Not only are the staff extremely polite and kind, but they also do everything possible to ensure that you have a pleasurable & relaxing time at their salon. I would 100% go again, and they can call me a regular whenever I am in the area! Best part? Once we explained that there was three full sets they had us pick out a color. They immediately started on me and then ignored my other two sisters (one being 8 years old but still wanting acrylics) there was one lady who began working on my youngest sibling and then once another client walked in that was wanting a pedicure she immediately got up and left my sibling that she was already working on. She left my siblings with long tips on her fingers did not bother to cut them down or attach the tips to the pinky finger. I then asked my technician who is sitting right next to her to please pause working on me and cut down the tips that way she could function and be able to be on her phone while waiting. My technician ignored me and then my other sibling asked the technician that was getting ready to work on her to please skip her and work on her sister first. That technician refused because he "did not wanna work on the baby" so instead of going back to work on my other siblings he decided to take a new pedicure client instead. Knowing we were upset one of the technician said that he would be working on our youngest sibling done but then a local came in and he decided to take her ahead of us for the third time now. We were highly upset and my one sister that was not able to get her nails done when ahead and left I let my technician finish mine and then try to leave. Upon me leaving the technician who chose the local insted tried to confront me in front of everybody asked me why I was not happy in why I was leaving upon me trying to explain he continued to argue with me telling me I was wrong. Long story short this place is awful ! Not only are they rude they also do nails poorly ! I do NOT recommend! First time I went was great andi was so nice, but then went back to schedule a fill since no walk in appointments were ready until 12:30 the day I walked in. It was scheduled for 10am the next day. Wheny mother and I walked in there was only one man in there working who tried to tell us we were supposed to come the day before at 10, which is not true because they were clear with us that nothing was available that day and time. The man was so rude to my mom acting like she was stupid and told us to go somewhere else. Definitely ruined our PREPLANNED Mother's Day plans. Never going back read more

If I give this Nail Salon a negative review I would. The first experience was great my daughter received a gift certificate to this salon for her birthday so we decided to give it a shot. Her nails came out very nice and my pedicure was great thanks to Ann. Jump forward two weeks later and the script was flipped entirely. Went in on Saturday when they opened and the little man with glasses and balding head of hair that sits up front was a complete ass! He was rude as rude could be snippy at people coming in while barking on the phone as well.We told him that a fill was needed and he said too busy no appointments today. Do I ask if they were open the next day and they said yes. I booked an appointment for myself and daughter. I show up the next day 2nd time driving there two days in a row to have this little man yell at me and my daughter saying I didn't have and appointment and nobody to do our nails. I pointed to my name in his book and he went batshit crazy yelling saying you no have appointment , no time, go. I was shocked that someone would conduct business in such a rude condescending way. I will never go back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My money will go to good hearted people who actually conduct business in a professional manner. I am so glad I have found this salon! My nails have never looked so good! I have always used SNS powder dip because my nails would chip easily. Mike has recently introduced me to LMS gel nails that are outstanding. Their selection of music is wonderful. I have never been there that I do not hear customers comment on how much they enjoy. Our family and friends come to Ocean Isle beach for vacation every year. The ladies have a standing date for getting pedi's. This was my first year to be able to join in the fun. We were greeted immediately upon arrival. We were treated as though we were visiting old friends. It was very comfortable atmosphere. The lady who did my pedi was AMAZING!! She was so friendly as was her husband who was doing another one of our bunch next to me. We were joking around with him about buying her diamonds.... we were treated as we were old friends. The nice lady (I have forgotten her name.) put ladybug design on my big toe as a present for my birthday with no extra charge. We were all very pleased with our pedi's. They were wonderful!! The orange sugar scrub left my feet and legs so soft, and the hot towels were AWESOME!! Soothed old age aches right out. My nails were trimmed and filed perfectly. The polish and design were flawless. I wish I could rate them a 10. We will continue our ladies day at Happy Nails next year and any further years we can make the trip!! Prices are great for their deluxe pedi's, cheaper than the small town I live in, in Ohio. Definitely give them a try if you are in the area of OCEAN ISLE BEACH. A fabulous outing!! read more

I usually enjoy coming here but a little perturbed today. Daughter and I came in for mani/pedi. They had 4 technicians there, apparently only two that can do nails. Obviously not enough staffing as they kept sending people away telling them they'd have to wait an hour or more. My pedi technician told me the older man would do may mani but he was so slow with his client that my daughter had her mani finished and dried and the other technician hadn't even finished.
