Very upset customer. I went to Happy Nails Thursday Oct 9,2025 with a friend for 2 pedicures. I wasn't aware they went out of business and now under new management . I had a gift certificate of 40.00 towards a service ,that I was given as a gift to me on June 19,2025. ( THIS YEAR ) I WAS TOLD, NO GIFT CERTIFICATE NOT ACCEPTED. I could not believe my ears. New mgmt would not want to build customers , long time happy nail customer. It wasn't like the pedicure would have been free. YOU do the right thing here, honor all certificates that are out there, that builds trust. So Happy Nails lost me as a loyal customer, and my friend. Top notch service, as soon as I walk in, I am taken for my pedicure and then get my fingernails done too, both are gel nails (toenails and fingernails). Such a relaxed atmosphere!!! Happy Nails recently (in past two weeks) apparently came under new ownership. One of their employees told (when I called for an appt with my favorite nail person) that Mary was on break. When I was in the salon, they told me that Mary had gone on vacation to Vietnam and that they were not sure when she would return. I later learned that Mary had moved to a different nail salon in Hanover (and that was not overseas). I would prefer if a business was just honest with me! Also they no longer take credit cards (they have installed an ATM machine but I did not have an ATM card with me). This would have been good to know BEFORE I got nails done. I have paid via credit card for the past 4 years so had to reason to think that they would not take my credit card. All that being said, the actual fill and pedicure were good. UNBELIEVABLY BAD experience! We made an appointment 2 weeks ago for me and my 2 girls to have nails done before my wedding. We arrived early. They seated us and ignored us for 20 minutes as they took walk ins and persons with later appointments. I spoke gently with one of the men who worked there as we were pressed for time. He was very nice and actually thanked us for handling it so kindly. Then, out of no where, came a lady who assume owned the place and was so awful to us! She told us how getting our nails done couldn't be done today. I explained what had happened, making our appointments weeks early and even being early and the subsequent parade of customers after us. Her only explanation was "you should come in the morning and don't come on a weekend then!" We were shocked! We explained to her how customer service works and how she should keep up with the appointments done weeks before. She continue making up excuses on any option suggested to a least get something close to what I made the appointment for, but nothing was doable for her, then we insisted on paying for what little service we got and left! All this on the day before my wedding! Never again! Stay away! read more

Absolutely horrible don't go here. I went in for a pedicure and ended up paying $40 for a pedicure that chipped one day later. During my pedicure they only cut my nails no file or cuticles. I got a rushed foot "wash" no scrubbing, callus removing, or massage. When it came to painting my nails the color I picked was empty (idk why they would put an empty bottle on the shelf) so the gave me a the gel polish pallet even though I just wanted regular polish to pick from. I then had to wait 15 minutes while the tech went to do another pedicure before she finally returned to paint my toes. Then to top of the horrible experience my toes completely chipped by the next day. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Go here if you want to spend lots of $$$$!!! I asked for the mani pedi that was on the board for $43 and by the time I left they charged me $68. When I questioned the price the lady snapped at me. I still tipped the lovely man that did my nails but wow what a rip off. Deluxe everything so they can charge you top dollar even if that's not what you asked for! Worst costumer service....doesn't matter if you have an appointment made weeks before, they will always prioritize walk-ins and leave you waiting on your chair for long periods of time. If you say something they would recommend you not to go on a weekend if you want your nails to be done, even though you had an appointment made weeks in advance. Extremely disappointed! Had to leave the place without getting all I had requested the day I made the appointment due to their lack of professionalism! read more

I usually have a good experience here with all the nail techs (more good than bad). Some techs are better than others, but I always go as a walk-in and have never requested a certain tech by name; however, in the last month or so there has been a new tech. He's done my nails twice. It's a horrible experience with him. He's nicked me (brought blood) both times and burned my skin with the tool. This last time I got a full set and told him wanted round nails. He made them square. I asked for round nails a second time and ended up with some round, some square with round edges, and some square. Super annoyed when I left. Shaped my nails when I got home. Never having the new tech do my nails again. Wouldn't recommend him unless you have a high pain tolerance and low expectations. Everyone else is pretty good. read more

Don't waste your time or money. If I could rate 0 stars I would. I went to get a full set of acrylic nails less than 1 week ago, and back again today. In that small time span all 10 acrylic nails popped off, now typically if one would break off or if I took them off myself my natural nail would show damage. But these popped right off. I have been getting acrylic nails for YEARS and never have I had all 10 nails literally pop off after a few days of having them done. So I call the salon and the manager tells me "come in I take care of you" which is what I did. After getting another full set done by another technician he says "$40" and I explained to him that his manager told me she would take care of me because I had just gotten them done less than a week ago. The manager and the tech instantly become defensive and the manager said if I would've brought the "broken" nail to her she could have "fixed" them. I explained about 7 times they were not broken they popped right off I had a full acrylic nail set that looked like a fake cheap glue on set from Walmart. Had I known I should have kept all 10 nails that popped off and shown them to her in order for her to honor giving me a new set I would have! So she then says she will give me a discount for the set I came in to get today. $60 in less than a week....total rip off if you ask me. I'm from out of town and here for work and needed a "treat yo self" day. I got a pedi and pink and white. The girl who did my pedi was awesome. She was so nice and really attentive to detail. Another girl who did my pink and white was AWFUL. The pink was actually clear and you could see the tips of my nails under them. I explained to her I did not like it and she gave me a nasty attitude and told me it was like that because my nails were gross! I'm very conscious of my nails and there was not a spec of dirt under them. To fix my problem, I asked her to paint them a solid color. When she finished painting them, I noticed it looked like the nails were done a week ago and looked grown out! Not to mention she would leave me for 30 minutes at a time to give another person a pedicure while another technician sat next to her doing nothing! She gave the worst customer service I've ever had in my life. I HIGH RECOMMEND NEVER COMING HERE. I spent $96 dollars to be unhappy with my nails. read more

Though the person doing my friends nails was so so nice and I was able to have a conversation with the two of them my nail tech was quiet and slightly aggressive. My friends nails turned out great while mine on the other hand were awful. I asked for gel nails and they gave me acrylic nails but with gel nail polish. That's not considered gel. The acrylic is thick and uneven, it's pushed up far on the nail bed so it looks like my nails have grown out even though I just got them done, and 2 of my nails are SEVERELY crooked/slanted. And with this gel polish the technician didn't fully paint my nails so the edges are just bare showing the acrylic. I'm pretty mad considering these were 40 dollars when I could have done the same bad job by myself with a Walmart kit for 10. Don't recommend at all. read more

I would give them 0 starts if i could. I have gone to Happy Nails multiple times hoping for a better experience than the last, but sadly it got worse every time. The first couple of times i went the ladies would man handle my fingers to the point that i was bruised and burned me with the gel polish. The last time i went was the worst though. The man who did my nails obviously was unexperienced and didn't know how to take off my acrylics so i had one lady doing one hand and another doing my other hand. The whole time the lady was trying to convince me to get acrylics again even though i didn't want to. While the other lady was taking my acrylics off with TOENAIL CLIPPERS. My nails are completely ruined. They are all broken at the bases and hurt so badly. I have very strong nails but they keep breaking because they are so brittle and have little breaks all over. On top of that they didn't clean any of the tools they used on me. I will never go back there after so many bad experiences. read more

I have been coming all summer for fill ins and gel polish with Charlie and have been extremely happy. I made an appointment for this past Saturday with Charlie for a fill in and pedicure and was passed off to someone else for my pedicure. In hind sight I should have NEVER agreed, but I did since I was sitting in the chair with me feet already in the water. I did ask if they were as good as Charlie and was assured they were. When we left the pedicure looked okay, but upon removing the toe separators, I was able to see that the edges were not polished at all, my big toes were very uneven and rough and there were spots that were not polished on the sides and corners and there was polish all over my skin. Definitely pays to put on your glasses and examine closely before leaving. While I am happy with my nails that Charlie did I am very disappointed in my pedicure. I guess it doesn't pay to be a repeat customer that makes an appointment and is specific about who they want either since I was shuffled off to someone else.
