Well, for the dead bolt the individual removed the door knob and put on the dead bolt. So now we have a door with no knob and a dead bolt knob. For sealing the gap at the bottom of the exterior door, well he stuck adhesive weather stripping to the door. A picture is worth a thousand words. For the shower door, he attempted to glue a door sweep to the door. Obviously it didn't work. I'm a very handy guy with a lot of knowledge of how things should be done. However, the rate that i was charged at $180/hr for each person to put together 3 beds was ridiculous. This was not transparent in their quote. I was under the impression that would be $180 for both ($90/hr) which is still expensive but doable. $180/hr per person is more than a Union Contractor makes in NYC. The Handymen were just there to build 3 beds! The price was insane and i will NEVER use them again. If you wish to use them, please make sure they provide you with a detailed breakdown of the costs (not just a per hour quote) so you are not surprised like i was.
