The lady there was SUPER friendly, down-to-earth and helped me create a package based on some of my ideas and color schemes. Even after my detailed ideas, what she quoted me was very reasonable. I was hesitant at first since she was so confident that we would be happy even though we had not worked with her before... She then showed me her portfolio of previous arrangements specifically for church ceremonies - there were arrangements of all different shapes & sizes - lovely, and I quickly saw that she had quite a bit of experience. A few days before the wedding, she confirmed everything I had ordered and a staff member showed up to the church the day-of to deliver & style the pew arrangements --totally on-time and the flowers were beautifully done. I don't know how many times i called to change so many flower arrangements & they fixed it every single time with no extra charge. They are SO understanding & everything was on time. Parking sometimes can be an issue since its on northern blvd by the great wall supermarket and it gets congested, but occasional lack of parking is my only complaint for this place read more

I got my bridal bouquet from this florist and was very disappointed with my bouquet and customer service. There was some difficulty with communication but I thought everything would be fine as I emailed them a picture of the bouquet I (and made sure they received it). I think they didn't use the picture at all because my bouquet (besides having peonies) was not right at all. I will post photos so that you can see. They had put red-orangish roses in my bouquet and the bouquet (or my wedding!) that I wanted did not have any red in it. It's frustrating to have spent so much time looking at different bouquets and so much time trying to coordinate everything in my wedding to have them not even create a bouquet with the correct colors or flowers. I also didn't like that they tried to continually upsell. I paid $250 for a bouquet that wasn't right-but could do little about it on the morning of my wedding. That being said, when I picked up my bouquet, the owner did attempt to fix it somewhat. I was offered a substitution for the ugly red-orangish roses they had added. Since they hadn't ordered the correct accent/filler flowers for my bouquet, the only thing that kind of worked was dark red small roses. Again, there was no red in my wedding but it was the best last minute solution. The owner said that she couldn't fix my bouquet for me. She apparently doesn't know how to make bouquets and I would have had to wait an hour for the person who makes the bouquets-completely impossible on the morning of my wedding. she gave me the small roses to fix the bouquet myself. I still feel upset about having to fix my bouquet during an already stressful time. This is just not the level of customer service that I expected. I would honestly never use them again for any future events-a shame as it's close to our apartment. read more

So I guess after I posted the 1 star review last week, Kevin decided to reach out with an apologetic email. He even offered his cell phone number to make sure I can reach him, since wedding seasons emails gets very busy. Fine, so I texted him thanking him for reaching out, and hoped to get a general quote so I know what I'm working with. Guess what happened? NO RESPONSE. I don't recommend this floral shop. I needed a simple wedding bouquet for my marriage ceremony at city hall, nothing too fancy. When I walked in I saw there wasn't much of a selection of flowers to choose from. The flowers weren't vibrant in color and seemed a bit shriveled. I was talking to the owner of the business and he stated that they were getting a fresh batch of flowers the following day so I decided to give it a try and placed an order. How about not so happy flowers. We used happy flowers florist seeing all the great reviews on yelp and our first choice florists were busy on our special day... Anyhow, after extensive research we decided to go with happy flowers after narrowing it down to another florist in manhattan. Given their price point we could not go wrong. We negotiated a price for them to do our flower arrangements/bridesmaid flowers/head pieces/boutonnieres/rose pedals for flower girls/boutineres/alter pieces/flowers on cake and 40+ flower table pieces. All in all flowers were of decent freshness.... the main table arrangement was quite spectacular. They did screw up on the flowers for the bridesmaid... my wife to be was quite upset and disappointed. The owners answer was "there is nothing I can do about it." He did not make an attempt to apologize to our myself or family members... The table arrangements were a bit haphazard. We decided to go with Frieza and some of the arrangements were shorter than other arrangements. This imbalance in height was disturbing and the owner did not rectify the situation. It was small compared to other issues... I was not so happy with happy flowers and would have paid a bit more for a more professional attention to detail especially on our big day. read more

Recently used Happy Flowers as our florist for our wedding on 5/31. Overall the process was painless. It was a little hard communicating at times because I am Chinese and they speak Korean but it was fine. I met with Michelle twice to go over what I wanted. The cheapest they could do for a centerpiece was $50 which was still pricey considering how many you'd have to order but they came out really well and you get to keep the vase. My theme was purple and gold with ivory as an accent color. The flowers had a little too much green but I guess it is hard to avoid. Overall, the bouquets came out really well and all the girls were happy with them. My only big complaint was that they arrived 30 min late. They promised to deliver at 12:30 because I had to leave around 1 for first look and they didn't get to the hotel until 1 which as you can imagine, could be a bit stressful for the bride. read more

Picked up a birthday bouquet for meeting my bf's sister (and the rest of his family) for the first time. Went in with a general color scheme and price range, and they made me a beautiful bouquet that fit my requirements. I also mentioned that it was for a birthday and they made sure to wrap it well outside, with colored webbing to match the color scheme of the bouquet (you can see it in the pictures of their bouquets. they're also one of the few florists that use that extra flourish to wrap their bouquets, which i like). the lady owner was very nice, although i used every little bit of korean vocabulary i knew, just in case (based on Jan G.'s review). read more

One the worst flower shops I ever went to. The worker was extremely rude and so was the grumpy old man. They don't know anything about flowers, and definitely didn't meet customer expectations. The Mexican that looked a sloppy mess was bragging that he did flowers for 20 years after I told him I did Wedding flowers myself and use to own a shop. He did a poor job on it, I don't even know how he did it for 20 years as he said, when he did such a horrible job for just 20 seconds. Horrible quality, horrible service and disgusting people. I highly would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I would not waste my money on these people. If I wasn't in a rush or need to pick up flowers at a convenient place, I would not have entered this "unhappy flower shop" Extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of me paying them, that Worker should have paid me since I actually picked out my own flowers and told him how I wanted it and how I wanted placed. Hello- paying customer here! She had absolutely no patience with me and I felt it was because I wasn't Korean. Update (7/24/2019) this company still didn't refund the money to my friend!!! My friend ordered the flower for me from out of state trying to give me a surprise for my birthday. However, the company call me while I was working busy on a a Saturday in the office and tell me that I have to go down and pick up the flowers by myself since the delivery man can not find a parking. Then I asked if the customer pay delivery fee or what. He said yes they did, but not including a parking ticket. So to me, by saying that it's already a bad customer service. I told them so if your customer did pay for the delivery then it's really your responsibility to find a parking and delivery it to my office. I am WORKING at work, not sitting there playing my fingers. If my office don't really need me, I guess I won't be sitting on the office on my birthday. Surprisingly, he asked me if I'm familiar with this area. Guess what? I worked in this area for 10+ years and I drive to work everyday, also with at least 20+ customers coming in and out to our office. Really no one complain like this company!!!!! I asked him who is the sender, but he refused to tell me and said you gotta come down get the flowers then you will see. (Seriously if I know if from my friend that we live in a long distance, i might have send someone down to pick up the flowers for me.) Anyway, I said if you still insist that I come down to pick up then I will call your office to complain! But his answer really surprised me! He said, "You can call to complain but I am the OWNER and I don't care! So I right the way refused the delivery and tell him he didn't do his job right! Be prepared to get yelled at when you deal with this place. I ordered a bouquet to be sent to my friend as a surprise for her birthday. I paid a $10 delivery fee, on top of the $130 for the bouquet itself, and expected the flowers to be delivered to her work. On the delivery date, I got a call from the owner telling me that they will not deliver the flowers up to her office because he is unwilling to ask his driver to find a parking spot. My friend was expected to drop everything at work and receive the flowers downstairs immediately, otherwise the driver would leave. When I proceeded to tell him that I paid a delivery fee, he said he will not inconvenience his driver by asking him to find a parking spot. He said if I wanted the bouquet to be delivered to her door, I would have to pay an extra fee when nothing like this was ever mentioned when the order was placed. I was told no florists in either Flushing or Manhattan would deliver up to anyone's office and this is the way he has been conducting business for the last 20+ years. This is not the first time I've ordered flowers and never have I ever come across a florist that does not deliver door to door and asks for extra money like this. Most importantly, the owner had a big attitude problem. He was rude and confrontational. Will never order from this place again. read more

When I read the reviews here I thought this was a great place to order flowers for my daughter'graduation ceremony, I wanted to get a beautiful bouquet for her to make her feel special and beautiful on her day. I was very detailed in my description for what exact flowers I wanted. I only wanted 3 colors all in roses and no extra flowers only leaves for the edges. I also said I wanted the bouquet to be cut short LIKE a wedding bouquet. I felt pretty happy at the end feeling as if they understood what I wanted. BOY WAS I IN A FOR A GHASTLY SURPRISE. When I came to pick up the flowers I was presented with this stranger flower arrangement NOT AT ALL WHAT I WANTED. Like I said I wanted only rose and they give me all these strange and ugly flowers and they even put these little red pepper like things in the bouquet. WHAT? I wanted a simple short bouquet and they instead out all these random flowers and it was not even the length I wanted it to be. Of course I was outraged, $60 for a random bunch of flowers that was the opposite of what I wanted? I don't think so. When I asked why it came out like this they said and I quote "this is what you wanted," "I make colorful for you," "I put the expensive flowers for you." Again as I said, a SIMPLE bouquet was what I wanted. I would of been a little more understanding if they were nicer and offered to fix it BUT not only were they condescending but incredible rude they kept insisting that this is what I "wanted" and that my true vision of the bouquet was impossible to do, especially since the type of arrangement I wanted would be more expensive and again I quote "at least $150."
