Amazingly delicious and fresh dumplings!! This is the best dumplings in New England!! The dumplings were so beautifully made and perfectly boiled. Boiled dumplings are the most authentic and difficult to make, because it is so simple, if the ingredients are not fresh, or the skills of wrapping and boiling are not good, it will not taste good. This place perfect the dumplings! It tasted so good almost tasted like home made dumplings! The pork bun was so crispy, flaky, and the meat was so juicy and delicious, the chives inside were so green and fresh! We almost fight over this port bun. But because I'm the nice person so I give the half bun to my partner and had more dumplings instead. Very nice and clean restaurant. Very efficient and friendly services. Super family friendly. Most importantly, the bathroom was super clean! I recommend this place to anyone!

Spicy Dan-Dan Noodle Soup with beef and Marinated Soy Sauce Egg

Wow, first time trying this place and I am NOT disappointed!! The noodle soup is SO GOOD!! I got this to go and they put the broth on the side which I appreciate because I can add as much as I want! The soy egg is the perfect addition. I also got the chicken soup dumplings which are equally as delicious. Please go eat at the happy dumpling!!

Spectacular. Unmatched. Truly one of a kind. We had dumplings, a beef soup, and popcorn chicken. From the customer service, to the freshness of the food, to the flavor: NEVER CHANGE A THING! Excellent food.

Happy Dumpling is a bustling place on any night of the week. Their food is not too spicy and the dumplings are savory and prepared quickly after you order them.

Everything is amazing. They have a small menu but everything they offer is straight perfection. I could eat here everyday. The staff are friendly and truly care about everybody's experience.

Just happened to see the Happy Dumpling sign and dumplings make me happy so I placed an order online for the pork & chive dumplings and when I went in less than 10 minutes later, they were ready! Hot and fresh! Cooked perfectly! Absolutely delicious!

So happy that there is an authentic Chinese restaurant opened in the Upper Valley! Happy dumplings, as the name suggests, mainly serves dumplings & noodles. There are not too many options to pick from, but the options they offered are very good. There were lots of people in line at night, and food was served very slowly (we waited for more than an hour). I assume service will get faster once they are open for a while, but I'd recommend going there before the dinner rush.

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed though. The broth was hearty, flavorful, and salted excellently. All the typical toppings were included and there was a good noodle to broth ratio. The bread is fresh and comes with pickled carrots, cucumber, cilantro ands a protein. You can get shrimp, pork, spicy tofu, curry chicken or teriyaki chicken. I get this banh mi sub at both the Lebanon to-go shop and this White River Junction locations. I am not sure what the differences are between Cambodian and Vietnamese fare. In Phnom Penh, Cambodia, it seemed the foods I ate were more pure and clean than the Americanized Vietnamese dishes I grew up with. The Phnom Penh restaurant and to-go shops serve food which tastes similar to Vietnamese to me. I really like the dishes I've tasted so far, including the fried rice. I did not yet try the pho, here, but it looks great. The sandwich shop is better to sit down in and relax in and enjoy your food. Also, their Khmer iced coffee is yum.

We were looking for a quick dinner in Hanover after a long day of helping my mother-in-law move…read more She recommended Sushiya which apparently is relatively new in Hanover. I skeptically thought "how good could sushi be in New Hampshire and especially if not run by Japanese folks?" I was glad to be proven wrong! We ordered a variety of different kinds of sushi rolls and sashimi and everything was super fresh and delicious, including the following types of rolls: avocado, california, shrimp tempura, tuna. We also ordered the bi bim bap in the hot stone bowl which was good, not the very best I've ever had (comparing to eating dolsot bibimbap in Seoul, HMarket food markets), but we ate almost all of it and took the rest for leftovers which were polished off the next day, so perhaps even very good! The meals all came with complimentary banchan (small side dishes) of cold bean sprouts, broccoli, pickled spicy zucchini, flavored boiled peanuts (my least favorite banchan), and miso soup. Loved the bean sprouts and broccoli and they brought us more when we finished the first round. Next time we're in Hanover we'll visit Sushiya again for sure!

I love the waiters there and I enjoy conversing in korean with them, i would 10/10 recommend this is definitely the best place in hanover for amazing comfort food and food all around ps i genuinely dont believe any of these rwviews lower than 4 stars-- ur in the middle of nowhere and this restaurant is doing its best to provide and i think its amazing

You're from the Himalayas and you somehow find yourself in the US. Of course you'll open a…read morerestaurant here on the US Northeastern seaboard in the beauty of the Appalachian mountain range. I believe there are 4 Nepalese restaurants in the region and other than this, I've not yet been to one before. There are 2 in Burlington, this one is at Dartmouth College in Hanover and the fourth is in Quebec. What a special experience to visit this Kathmandu-style, Nepalese restaurant. The Base Camp Cafe is in the basement of a Dartmouth campus building. Getting to it is tricky if you need the elevator but go through the Mexican restaurant and down their back hallway to get to it. Everyone reviews the Base Camp Cafe's most famous app: the Mo mo's and with good reason. Our mo mo chicken dumplings were not like the Asian steamed dumplings we are used to. They are so much better! The outside of the dumpling is more like a thick wonton soup noodle with multiple layers. Sooo good! The heart chicken flavor is clean and satisfying. There are notes of cilantro apparent in the center. The golden lentil dal soup, on the other hand, was deflating. It was mainly a broth with tiny bits of lentils and not much else. It was more like eating a curried chicken broth with a lentil paste vs. a hearty soup full of lentils. The red chili curry at spice level 5 is delicious. I chose the veggie curry and it has good heat, not too intense. The tomato flavor in this curry is strong like a sun ripened tomato paste. The veggies in it are delightfully firm and crunchy. The gigantic bowl of stir fry noodles are similar to al dente fettuccine vs. a rice pasta. They have an easy smokey flavor. I requested a side of hot sauce. What an impressive first tasting experience! I can only compare it to if you could taste a crystal lake, it is like this. There is a pure, clear flavor that hits your taste buds first. Like water but condensed. Then the heat builds and builds. And continues to build minutes after. The dark green sauce gracing the top of our rice is also an experience. It's more rich and - again - condensed than any hot Asian green chili sauce I've had. It is at least made of cilantro and avocado, but also a tiny amount of jalapeño with olive oil. Absolutely loved it! I do not know exactly how to write this but there was a bit of a spiritual cleansing here and I'm not talking about digestive. Later in the evening we just felt more relaxed and positive from the high mountain peak dining recipes and exotic wall art. It's as though any lingering negative vibes fled and headed back to the hills. The service at the Base Camp Cafe is earnest, efficient and kind. Requests are met with sincerity and smiles come easily here.
