We've been going to this place since December and I've gotta say...it causes more anxiety for families than it should. The booking wait is ridiculous. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour for every appointment. We came in early for a regular appointment, hoping to not wait as long and wasn't seen until 20 minutes after our scheduled time. When we left, the place was packed. I was told they are taking new patients (there were 2 scheduled during our visit) and instead of scheduling for them to come back, they're signing contracts and starting treatment right away (same day appointment). This place doesn't value regular patients and is replacing their quality care for new patient care. We're looking for a new ortho at this point. read more

My review will be based strictly regarding the ortho specialty. Please steer away from this facility, they engage in fraudulent billing practices and do not follow insurance agreements. Please call your insurance carrier and confirm your fees prior to giving any money to this practice. I was over quoted for my child treatment I brought it to their attention only to be met with hostility and rudeness from their staff. The biller and managers lack of response speaks volumes of their shady practices. I am awaiting a refund since 042025 it's now June. I will be filing a grievance with my insurance company as well as with BBB. Please seek services elsewhere and avoid the headache and overpaying here. read more

It doesn't matter who you get here as far as service goes, they're always very accommodating and welcoming. This review in particular is for Ester! We moved a couple months ago and we were having the hardest time finding continued care out of state. We finally decided to reach back out to happy teeth/braces and Ester made it her mission to coordinate with us and inform us of our options so that we could make the best cost efficient decision that would best suit my daughters dental care. Thanks to her, after 5 years my baby is finally getting her brackets removed! And it didn't cost us an arm and a leg in Oregon. We love coming to Children's Happy teeth! eveyone is so helpful and kind. We have never even had any problem or complaint. We have been coming here for 5years. We had a very bad experience at another children's dentist and the dentist made me feel like a bad parent, she told me that my kids snacks I brought were the worts and that I should never buy Mc Donald's, talk about mom guilt, all because my daughter( 5 yrs old at the time ) had a cavity and a loose tooth that she said didnt fall out next visit she would charge me to pull it out. That's when I knew something wasn't right, pulling a loose tooth wouldn't it just naturally fall out? I had to go somewhere else and I'm so glad that I did and we found children's happy teeth!! I've never heard a negative comment towards other children or about their teeth the whole staff is really here to help the kids have a good experience. They overbook? Make an appt for 8am and they show up at 815-830 This causes a domino effect of having to wait over an hour to be seen. Even if you show up early or on time you wait over an hour . More than once they use the excuse they didn't understand why they're behind. Becoming redundant. A frickin joke. read more

Happy braces refuses to give me my refund for my son that was overpaid by me because it was then paid by our insurance. Because they were struggling to get payment from insurance for my younger daughter's treatment they decided to hold my son's refund until insurance pays. We called the insurance and they said all they needed was confirmation that my daughter was still in treatment. We got the insurance through to happy braces on the phone and with a verbal "yes she is in treatment still" they said Okay then payments will be approved. How hard was that? Either way, the treatment and payments for one patient should not interfere with the other. Especially since we have never defaulted on copayments and even paid for my eldest daughter's braces in full without insurance in the past. This is also after ME having to Follow up every single appointment since Jan 2024 for status on insurance and refund. I am stuck with them now, but this is not good business practice. One should have nothing to do with the other. I am also pretty sure, had I not been following up about the overpayment, they would probably keep it. I guess I will have to wait until March to follow up Again to see what the "new" update will be and if they will give me back my refund or still hold it hostage. I am not satisfied with how this process has been handled, please do better. For new clients, look elsewhere for your child's treatment. read more

We wait over an hour every time we have an appointment. The last time we had our child's bottom braces applied and a bracket broke on the way home. I was infuriated because I knew I would have to return and wait again for over an hour for a five minute appointment. The front staff is very nice and patient but once he gets in the chair it's a different experience. I dread going because the wait time is outlandish. It is common for the front staff to get yelled at by at least one angry person who is sick of waiting. In fact, it has happened at least once every time we have been there. My kids have gone across the hall to Happy Teeth for as long as I can remember so I figured I would get an Ortho consult for my daughter. The rep was very gung ho borderline pressuring me about starting treatment the same night, asked me to call my spouse to discuss right away, when I said I needed a day or so, she asked if she could call me the next day to get things started, I said yes ..... and here we were three weeks later: no phone call, zero follow up. I think this has something to do with the fact that they thought my insurance wouldn't cover ($$$$$$$) and found out during my visit that it actually does cover ($).
