Had 2 crowns done here and both came off and they had to glue it back. Also, last time I came here the dentist told me I needed a root canal/crown and possible bridge on my other tooth. Charging $2000+ for the root canal/crown. Insane! I went to another reputable PPO dentist and they said insurance will cover most and I only have to spend $350 out of pocket. This place uses high quality machines but then says you need all this work done when you really don't. I was about to spend $6k out of pocket for this. Make sure you get a second opinion. I first got my cleaning done here with Dr. Wong in 2022, have been coming here since then, and have no intention to change dentist although I live in LA now. The care they provide is top tier very professional, and welcoming. You get the sense that they really care for their patients in terms of care and comfort. They always provide multiple treatment plans and their costs so you're aware of the procedures and how much it'll cost. I never got the sense that I needed a second opinion either. This is actually my first experience going to a dentistry in the United States. I was nervous and went there for basic check up but ended up finding few problems. Kimberly was so nice to guide me the process and even financial plan to pay off unexpected bills. They were checking on me, explained everything, and answered all my questions. Update on August 14th visit: This will be my last visit to this location. Despite the last 2 (TWO) terrible experiences this third (THREE) bad experience was the last straw. On August 14th, the office staff has proven to be consistent with lacking simple communication among each of their peers nor can they even do basic things like double check their work or pay attention to the patients needs or belongings and double check what their duties are and if it weren't for the outstanding job of the dentists this location would be the worst place I have ever visited. Honestly I still can't understand why this place employs such bad office staff that can't even do their jobs properly. If someone can't schedule a patient on the proper day a specialist is in the office how useful are they to this company if they consistently cause problems for clients and what about the assistants in the back that don't have any manners nor have the consideration to even take care of a clients personal belongings and just toss someone's glasses and not even bother to say sorry after damaging new glasses??? Some people just weren't raised properly by their parents. Beyond that it's a bunch of other bad experiences like assistants not knowing how to use a suction tool properly so I end up chocking on my own spit and the dentist had to explain what to do and how to hold the tools because the dentist couldn't even grab it and I could obviously see that her hand was covering almost the entire tool, like come on how is the dentist supposed to grab it with your entire hand in the way??? No common sense or awareness. Furthermore, I could keep going but I hope people get the idea. I wish everyone else good luck if you choose to come here but know that the Dentists are AWESOME and the rest of the office staff either don't pay attention and let you choke on your own spit or don't communicate or properly inform you of ANYTHING and you might end up wasting an entire day like I did on my first visit and then have to go weeks without a root canal that causes you tremendous pain yes for WEEKS all because an office staff member doesn't know the difference between a Tuesday and a Friday!!!!! I asked for a simple cleaning, but they just wanted to do this expensive laser deep cleaning. When I said no, they offered a cheaper deep cleaning, but I refused again. Then they kept me waiting for another 45 minutes and finally told me they couldn't do any cleaning and sent me home. Total waste of time. I've been going to the dentist twice a year for the past 10 years. My gums aren't in terrible shape, so while I might need a deep cleaning, there's no reason they should have refused a regular cleaning. It just feels like they're more interested in billing my insurance than actually helping me. It's kind of like a gym trying to upsell a membership instead of giving proper medical care. read more

I have DeltaCare USA and this dental clinic accepts this HMO insurance. All general cleanings have been completely covered and FREE for me; I did not have to pay any copay with this insurance, so far. (With some exceptions, please keep reading.) After transitioning from Delta Dental (PPO) to DeltaCare USA (HMO) because of my job, I thought I would be receiving lower-quality services for my teeth, but I was wrong. Cerritos Smiles is cleaner and more technologically advanced than my previous dentist, despite my old insurance being the more expensive, PPO Delta Dental. All the staff here are relatively young (ages between late 20s - 40s), lively, and extremely helpful. I haven't had any issues with their customer service. Each of my visits was always with different dentists, so I cannot recommend any one specific dentist, but all have been gentle with my general cleaning. (My teeth are generally healthy, so that could be another reason why they haven't had to do more than the general cleaning or have me endure any extra pain.) They typically give you a printout of procedures and costs associated before they work on your teeth and are very thorough in their explanations of each procedure. However, my only issue is how they sometimes push you to undergo a procedure that will cost more than what your insurance will cover. For example, I scheduled a general cleaning for the routine 6 months check-in. They explained before working on me, that it will require an additional ~$300 extra because they will perform "deep cleaning" which will require some extra steps. I requested to remove those extra steps and just stick with whatever is covered by insurance, so I don't have to pay anything out of pocket. They explained what the extra steps were, but I still opted to remove them. They reprinted the list of procedures and in the end; it cost me nothing. (I say this so you the customer, can be adamant on your request because you have a right to NOT take all steps even if they offer it to you. You don't have to agree to everything they recommend.) Besides their minor push, I still recommend this dentist clinic. Because you can opt out of some of their recommended services and not have to pay extra out of pocket, it is not a big deal, even though it may feel like they're trying to scam you into paying extra -- they aren't. Their customer service and technical expertise make it way better compared to my previous dentist. Summary: - COSTS. It can be expensive, depending on your insurance. But you have the right to decline any of their recommended services and can remove some unnecessary procedures until it reaches what you're comfortable paying. I have done this every time I visited and made sure that ALL procedures were covered by my insurance for free. I highly recommend you ask for a printout of the list of procedures and costs BEFORE they start working on your teeth, that way you have it in writing what is expected. - WAITING. There was a 5-10 minute wait after checking in at the front desk, which was very quick because I scheduled an appointment beforehand. - CUSTOMER SERVICE. Wonderful. I have never had any issues or attitude from any of their staff. Scheduling an appointment is easy and all dentists are very gentle, friendly, and knowledgeable. - PARKING. A lot of available parking because I schedule my appointments early morning (around 9 AM). read more

Updated review: Came in for my cleaning and on this visit found that Dr. Jenney wasn't with the practice any longer. No worries though, I was able to see Dr. Wong. Just like my previous visit, front desk folks are on top of things and called to get my updated insurance information the day prior. This makes checking in on the day of appointment such a breeze. I needed updated X-rays and while I didn't catch the tech's name she was pleasant and moved quickly. Once with Dr. Wong he had a very pleasant demeanor, which if you're reluctant to go to the dentist would be great to put you at ease. He communicated clearly about what X-rays showed and his cleaning plan. Another thing about Dr. Wong I liked was he doesn't do the unnecessary conversation while he's working. I never understood why dentists wanted to ask you questions about your favorite movie when your mouth is obviously occupied - lol. I want to start by saying even with very negative experiences, I don't leave negative reviews, however the pretty profound decrease in my quality of life since coming to this clinic 3 months ago has kind of left me no choice for the sake of other people looking for a dentist. I came to this clinic with 0 dental pain at all. The dentist told me I had four cavities, 2 of which needed filled at that appointment, which we went ahead and did. The nerve block didn't work despite multiple attempts, but I just stopped complaining and figured it should be over soon. However, even after the procedures were done, and to this day, I haven't been able to chew on that side. I've been back multiple times for adjustments that didn't improve on the overall sensitivity at all. Now I have no choice but to go to another dentist and get another full workup. It should be noted that the dentist who performed these fillings appeared to have been doing this right before lunch, as his stomach was growling the whole time and he left the clinic the second it was over. The support staff is all great which is why I'm giving this clinic any stars at all. However, given that the key to medicine is overall doing no harm, and all they did to me was harm, I feel like giving them 2 stars is generous. read more

RUNNNNNN!!!! Do not waste your time and money here. They are out to get your money ! I was told I had so many things that needed to be done. A couple of cavities, 3 crowns, and deep cleaning. She even said I had bone loss and periodontal disease stage I. ( I went to a different dentist for a second opinion because I felt in my gut that something wasn't right). Let's just say, I didn't have any cavities, I needed 1 crown, I DID NOT need deep cleaning, and there is NO bone loss per my second dentist or nor do I have periodontal disease. I am mad at myself for allowing them to do one cavity. She poke me on my lip with the injection instead of my gum. OUCH! THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO A REGULAR CLEANING FOR ME. I was so confused. They advertise "new patient comes with exam, xray, and cleaning for $59". I got the x ray and exam but no cleaning. Another red flag! Charging for the service before my service!! I never had a dentist charge me before my dental work. Soooo many flags! If you're looking for a dentist, look elsewhere. This place is not a place for you!
