They tried selling me on things I don't need, refused to treat my cavities, and were incredibly rude when I told them I only had Denti-Cal. I think they just cater to wealthier patients because I felt very discriminated against. They also refused to refer me to a specialist to treat my wisdom tooth that accepts denti-cal. They likely get kick backs from referring to that place. Stay far away unless you like wasting your money on their fancy office expenses like huge tv's in every room. read more

The staff is nice and the facility is well kept, though small. I will say that Dr. Shah is informative and she and her staff provide good service. I couldn't like my experience completely however, because every single time I feel like I'm at the used car sales office. It is a very uncomfortable feeling to be taken to the back room to discuss how costly the recommendation for new dental work will be. Dr Shah makes the recommendation and then you're taken to a private room. The price is always a just for you special and I can't help but feel like I'm being bamboozled with these tactics. Also, a dentist here refused to do my husbands cleaning without the additional service for the gums which would have been at a $400 additional out of pocket cost. After many many years, I have to review my favorite dental facility of all time. Dr. Shah & all of the staff have always treated me and all of my family like we are a part of their family. I was always so afraid to go to the dentist until I first arrived at Dr. Shah's office over 10 years ago. I remember the first time I walked into the office like it was just yesterday, feeling very calm. The office environment is calming and the staff is very welcoming. In this office, I have experienced many life changing experiences. I had my wisdom teeth removed pain free, I gained relief from my tmj, and I definitely learned how to take care of my teeth. Not only does the staff take their time to get to know you, they also take the time to make sure your dental hygiene is their #1 priority. Ultimately, as I grew, the team of excellent staff grew with me. When it was time for me to establish my own health insurance, away from my parents, it was no question that the team at Dr. Shah's office had to me a part of my new journey. Irina, the hygienist, is someone I look forward to seeing every visit. She is gentle and efficient. 0 starts if I could. Where do I begin? This office has been wasting my time for the past few months. Starting with a poorly made crown. They had me go back multiple times (5) because she claimed my swollen gum was just a negative reaction my body was having. She insisted my gum would get better but it never did. I got two second opinions and they both said the crown was done WRONG. On to the next issue, I woke up with my face swollen because of an infection and I needed help. I made an appointment and came in to see if Shah could help. Unrelated to the infection she noticed I had some fillings done, she asked me about it and I informed her I got them done at a free clinic. I'm a college student and I have to save money where I can in these trying times. She brought up the fact that I had went to another clinic and with an attitude said "well why don't you just go back there?" To which I responded "because they only do small things like fillings and cleanings". The cherry on top was when I mentioned I wanted to add my secondary insurance, she suddenly made up that my tooth requires a specialist. She claims to accept my secondary insurance but she doesn't want to because she wants money from me. CASH I've seen other reviews that mention if she doesn't want to deal with you she'll "refer you to another office" Keep in mind, my face is swollen beyond belief and my pain level is at a 10. So much for being a Dr... This lady only cares about money and not her patients. We're all just cash cows to her. Steer clear from this place. I will no longer be coming here and two family members will no longer be coming here either. I have a lot of friends locally and will spread the word of this place. They are nice people BUT they are also salesman and they are jacking up prices on dental procedures for more profit. They will try to corner you and sell you a bunch of lies. I got two quotes, one from this dentist and another from a way better dentist. Aarti shah quoted $4000 for deep cleaning and this one i go to now quoted $200 for the same shite. I went here to Aarti before because it seemed like they were nice. The people working the front desk were really good. Maybe times are just tough for these ppl but times are tough for everyone too. Part of adulting is finding a dentist that would look out for your best interest and not your money as most other dentists do. This was the first time I had to find a dentist since paying for my own insurance after all those years of my mom paying for mine and her being in charge of looking for a dentist for me. I have HMO and it's hard enough to find a good dentist that accepts HMO. Usually the good, reputable dentists only accepts PPO as they make the most money from those types of plans. Luckily, this dental office accepts HMO and they are exceptional! Customer Service: 5/5 All the staff who works here are beyond amazing. They are so nice, professional and courteous. The staff that stands out the most to me and is what keeps me coming back is Kit! Kit works at the front and is mostly the main person of contact when it comes to booking an appointment and payment. I've never come across someone in this field who loves his job more than him. He will answer any questions you have and if anything, it almost seems like sometimes hes the dentist himself. He's SO knowledgeable! He will always follow up with you for any appointment reminders and always tries his best to fit you into their schedule if it's last minute. Seriously, thank you so much Kit for your hard work and service! Pricing: 5/5 If you have insurance, it'll help. I am judging their pricing based on my insurance. Their pricing is fair and definitely less than most other dentists that I've been to. Prior to coming here, I actually had a bad experience with one of the dentists I visited and their pricing was so outrageous, it should be a crime. When I came here, the pricing was definitely less and it seemed much more reasonable. At the end of the day, I get it's still a business and people need to make money, but I'm not about to break an arm and a leg over a simple cleaning and you won't have to worry about selling your soul when coming here. Business Ethics: 5/5 I thought I would create a category for this because after going to so many dental offices, I've noticed one common theme; that they are all so pushy and on the verge of forcing you to get something done just to make money. Here, they will not force you to do anything you don't want to. Sure they will recommend some things that may not be necessary but at the end of the day, they will not force you to do it. A dental hygenist cleaned my teeth and he was super gentle and nice. I've met and spoken to Dr. Shah a few times here and there in passing and she is very sweet and nice. She owns her own practice and is very knowledgeable. Btw, if you are looking to get braces, they do offer free consultation here! I've literally pass by this dentist a million times. Located on Pioneer Blvd. After looking online to see which dentist will take my insurance, I've decided to come here for a consultation after looking on yelp. This was the 3rd dentist I've visited this year for exam and price quote. I need a lot of work done. Prices was my biggest concern since my insurance really doesn't cover anything beside filling and cleaning. My teeth was getting really bad, to the point where I couldn't ignore it anymore. Other places was quoting me around 10k-20k. So, after I've received my treatment plan, I've decided to roll the dice and choose this dentist. I don't regret it. Pricing was definitely affordable compare to the other dentists. They were willing to work with me on a payment plan. Even though my insurance doesn't cover white filling, they were willing to take care of. I've cancel my appointment 3 times and yet they were very understanding (Winter cold). Staffs was nice and friendly. The dentist who worked on my teeth was very formative. He was also very gentle, making sure to avoid my gum- to avoid unwanted pink filling.
