I have been going to this salon for a year now and they always do a great job for me.. Tony, his wife , and the other girl "sorry I forgot her name" are all professional. I always do dip powder and didn't know we can do ombre with it!! But Tony did!! I highly recommend this salon you will definitely feel the happiness

This nail salon is right down the street from my house so I can just walk here. I tried not making an appointment and just walking in but they were so busy I had to make an appointment for the next day. That was fine. Just remember you should probably make an appointment in advance. I came back the next day. The salon is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. I got a full manicure and pedicure. The massage chairs are really comfortable and relaxing. They did a great job on my nails and toenails. The prices are about on par with other similar nail salons and they offer all the same services for the most part. The whole experience took about an hour and a half. A little longer than I wanted it to take considering I was only getting gel polish and their basic services. Overall though it was great and I will go back soon for a touch up.

I am very happy with my experience here. This was my first time and they were clean, friendly, on time, and quick. I like my nails very short but still looking nice and Jenny did an amazing job to make sure I was still able to get the ombré that I love. Also they are very reasonably priced. 10/10 I am impressed. Really good nail technicians and very clean salon. I wish people would give this little gem of a place a try. This nail salon is right down the street from my house so I can just walk here. I tried not making an appointment and just walking in but they were so busy I had to make an appointment for the next day. That was fine. Just remember you should probably make an appointment in advance. I came back the next day. The salon is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. I got a full manicure and pedicure. We all know how it is going to a salon you've never been to for a full set, especially if you want nail art, longer nails, or stilettos. I decided to give this place a go because it was only 6 minutes away from my house and it was a last minute/same day appt. I am very happy with my experience here. This was my first time and they were clean, friendly, on time, and quick. I like my nails very short but still looking nice and Jenny did an amazing job to make sure I was still able to get the ombré that I love. Also they are very reasonably priced. 10/10 I am impressed. Called to see if I can come in for a mani. I explained that I previously had get and my nails were thin from all the shaving down and might go with a regular mani. Man was pushing for me to get gel mani or dip since regular mani "would not last long ". Granted that may be true, neither would the gel last as my nails are thin and the gel/dip would separate either way. Decided not to go to this place as I see how their service works-- seems like an upset before even setting foot into the mail salon. read more

Just moved to the area & I finally found my local go to mani/pedi place. Husband & wife team who focus on quality. One of my pet peeves is making an appointment & having to wait more than 10 min to get taken in. They took me in at the time of my appointment. It's only the 2 of them as they're looking for someone to match their quality & way they do nails. Love my mani & pedi. Really good nail technicians and very clean salon. I wish people would give this little gem of a place a try. Went in October with my daughter to get nails and pedicures. Loved both. I have not had my nails done in over 10 years, a lot has changed. My daughter and I had a great time and the nails looked amazing for the wedding. I tried another place for a fill, just because this salon was booked and I will never do that again. I will plan ahead and make an appointment. Went last week to get prepared for Xmas and once again, an amazing job. Just what I wanted and asked for and the nails and toes are ready for rocking around the Christmas tree! Very, very kind people. The music videos are very old school, but that's ok because I guess I'm old school. read more

The new owners have turned around the quality and professionalism of this establishment. Tony and Jenny take pride in every single service they do. Appointments are very much encouraged, they won't promise you "in 15 mins" and have you sit there for an hour. They are honest and give quality work. Used to love this place but the quality is going down.My gel polish is fading off after 2 weeks and I've never had that happen.i paid for an extra 10 minute massage and I don't feel I got it.They push for you to pull out cash it made my friend very uncomfortable.The nail salons in Disco leave much to be desired.I will keep driving to Brentwood read more

Kelly and her staff are thorough and can add any artistic flair you want, and if you're not sure what you want, just let Kelly design it. I was not happy with any part of my recent experience here. 1. I had gone a in August for a brow wax it was fine. I was happy. I asked ( in front of my Mom-- ) what they charge for a mani/pedi.$32.00 which seemed reasonable. 2. I am a nail biter; yet find with a good mani I can stop or be discouraged from biting. I went to shiny nails ( by old Safeway in Brentwood) about a week and a half ago they did a great job. Bryan did my nails and was understanding that I asked about sanitation in depth because of health issues. I got a dark shiny red which did deter my biting habit however I needed something neutral for "real life" and only had a short time so I went to Happiness Nails by home at about 1:30pm on Wednesday. 3. Only person in there. Two technicians plus guy at the counter. I asked for a mani/pedi and that I wanted to upgrade the mani to gel. ( so I knew that portion would be $30) asked about sanitation did not feel entirely comfortable with the answers. There is a box for nail brushes marked "sanitation" by the sink however I did not feel that meant "sanitized," "undergoing sanitation," etc and did not get answers. I was pressured to get gel on feet. Due to health reasons; this was A. Unnecessary B. Not safe Pressure continued: I must have said five times that I was injured and could not have my feet scrubbed and just wanted pedi polish change. "Oh, it tickles?" No. not the problem-- severe nerve pain. Still with the pressure to upgrade. 4. The remaining dark red from previous mani can still be seen. It looks like my nails are dirty. I had washed them twice prior to mani so it was a lack of removing prior color. 5. I was charged $54. After I made it clear I wanted no foot scrubbing just polish removal and change. My feet loot awful-- they had to fix both feet (upon being asked) 2x. 6. I told them that it seemed ridiculous that they were charging me $24. For a polish change and a lot of cheap lotion. Bear in mind I am really nice-- I don't get bitchy for no reason-- this was the worst mani/pedi of a lifetime of getting them I will never return here for services. ( I am talking about the nail salon next to Callahan's & Aldinos btw-- hope I have The name right. Didn't bother to get a card. read more

NEW OWNERS: I was skeptical about trying this place due to the reputation the old owners had, but the new owners Tony and Jenny are great! Tony did my nails which I am very particular about and did an amazing job! Jenny did my husbands pedicure and he also raved about it. Highly suggest giving this place another chance! They also cleaned it up a lot, with new chairs and lots of new colors to choose from. read more

If I could give this biz a 0 star, I would. This place has gone down hill for sure. I used to get my nails done there, and I thought they did great. Kelly did my nails for about a year. I started to want to try new things, I would bring in a picture and she would say sure she could do that. When my results didn't come close to what I thought they would be, she would argue with me and make me feel like I was wrong. The other night she did the same thing to another customer. I felt so bad for the girl who was trying to be nice when she said all of her pointed nails were leaning to the right, and she was very polite when she asked if they could be fixed. Kelly snapped at her and said if she didn't like them she didn't have to go back. I recently had a pedicure done somewhere else. They did a great job. However, because Kelly didn't cut my nails correctly, I often was in pain from in grown nails. My new pedicure place said that it was too difficult to correct my in grown and I had to let it grow out more. I went back to Kelly just to ask if she could please try and fix the in grown that she caused. I said I would pay her. She said, " No, only if I got a full service pedicure would she do that." Then she proceeded to insult the color I chose on my toes. The other day when I decided to give her another shot, when I heard her arguing with the other customer... I was getting a quick pink and white fill. She left dirt where my nails were lifting and she just put the acrylic over the lifted dirt. But I was in a hurry and I needed them done for a meeting. I continued to go back because it's right here in Discovery Bay and it is convenient for us community members. But Kelly totally takes advantage of that. She argues with her customers and I am only reviewing bc I heard her do it to another person. I won't be going back. I still tipped her well, bc I believe in always doing my part. This is my first negative review for any Business... it isn't my style. But I am so disappointed. Save your money and take a small drive to Brentwood! read more

Just tried this salon out now that it is under new ownership and it is so much better than before! The salon is spacious and clean and the owners are friendly and nice. I had my pink & whites done by Kelly and she was great. She fixed the terrible job done by Discovery Nails since my nail tech Nancy left there and I had to use someone else. I am glad I gave this place a try and I am happy with the work and will continue to come here instead. Also they have the TV on to watch while there and take Debit cards. read more

This place is under new owners. They are amazing I've been coming here for years for only pedicures. I drive 30 minutes away to get my nails done. I decided there pedicures were so amazing so why not try their nails. I've been going to the same nail place for 20 years. Guess what.... i am switching they are great. At this time, I am a fan. I have been treated well and my pedicure always turns out looking great. While the place is a little rough around the edges, I always look forward to having my toenails done. John does them and always takes good care of me. Coming back to edit this review after the business owner replied, which I'm shocked she did considering she's the one who was on the phone with me claiming I can't come back in. It does not accurately reflect what happened. The repeated issues with my nails were not a matter of me wanting free services -- they were the direct result of substandard work that failed to hold up as a proper gel manicure should. A quality gel manicure should last 2-3 weeks without chipping. The fact that repairs were needed multiple times speaks to the quality of the application, not to any unreasonable demands on my part. I also want to address your claim that I have repeatedly asked for refunds in the past and that you have granted them -- that is simply not true. That is a false statement made publicly to discredit me, and it is unacceptable. What is also unacceptable is that you never gave me the opportunity to explain my side of the situation. That is not how you treat a customer. Period. I am not alone in this experience either. Several other women have come forward to share that they were treated the same way. On top of that, I have become aware of a health violation at this salon that was reported and not properly addressed -- something every potential customer deserves to know about. I have every right to warn my community so that others are not misled or mistreated. I hope this salon takes this feedback as a real opportunity to do better. If I could give 0 stars I would. After 6 YEARS of loyal business, I was refused as a customer -- and the reason given was completely fabricated. The owner accused me of requesting multiple refunds for coming back in with chipped nails. I have NEVER requested a refund from this salon, not once. I explained this calmly and repeatedly, but she refused to listen and simply said, "My staff doesn't want to help you anymore." No proof. No explanation. No willingness to have an honest conversation. Just a flat-out refusal to book my appointment after over six years of consistent business. To make matters worse, this interaction finally confirmed what I had long suspected -- the staff has been talking about me in their own language during my visits. I always felt uncomfortable and dismissed whenever I was there, like I was being discussed right in front of me. Now I know my instincts were right. Six years of loyalty, and this is how they treat a customer. Absolutely disgraceful. Save yourself the stress and find a salon that actually respects and values the people walking through their door.

I got my nails done by Kayla, and while I love the fact that she can do designs, the quality just isn't there. I paid about $100 for a gel fill with designs, and the very next day the tip of one of my nails cracked and popped off. I went back and she fixed it, but I no longer live in California, so shortly after that I got on a plane and flew back home to another state. Once I got home, I noticed my middle finger was sore and hurting. When I looked closely, I realized there was a crack underneath the nail. Basically, the nails are being done too thin. Now I have to go to a nail shop here in Texas to get them fixed because I'm about to go on a cruise, and I do not want my nail to break or split down the middle, which is extremely painful if you've ever experienced it. Not to mention, my husband got a manicure and pedicure, and I got a pedicure and gel fill as well. He tipped $20 total, which was nice considering multiple people were working on us at the same time. Someone worked on his feet, someone else worked on his hands, Kayla worked on my hands, and another person worked on my feet. When they split the tips, one of the ladies walked past me and sarcastically said, "Thank you for my $5 tip." I thought that was very unprofessional and tacky. Just because several people are assigned to work on us at once does not mean we're expected to tip every single person $10 each. That's absurd. Overall, I'm disappointed because my nails should not be cracking the very next day, especially after paying that much money. At this point, two nails have already cracked, and I don't even know about the rest yet. Unfortunately, next time I'm back home in California, I will not be returning.
