I had the pleasure of finally trying dim sum su's vegetarian bao buns during Chinese New Year…read moreweekend and I was not disappointed! My husband loved his chicken version too. I've wanted to try bao buns for a long while now but the majority of places do pork versions and as I don't eat pork that left me out to dry. Luckily Su caters to all and the crispy aubergine and sweet pepper vege bao buns are utterly delightful. Packed full of flavour and dangerously moorish. At around 3.50 each they aren't badly priced either. I'd need two for lunch but one is perfect for a quick snack. We went to the event stall on St Anne's Square but we're delighted to hear she's got a place on deansgate. I genuinely can't wait to try these again. Su herself is such a lovely, bubbly person. She clearly loves what she does and you can taste that in the lovely homemade food she sells.

Her passion and energy for what she does is amazing and extremely contagious! I'd already got some Fried Chicken to go from Jimmy but looking at the food Sue was making and hearing her tell me all about it, I couldn't not have some, so I opted to go for something I've never tasted before as appose to my usual Dumplings that I get all the time from anywhere that will do them! I went for a Pan-Fried Duck Bao - honestly, go and get one for lunch, you won't regret it! In fact, speaking of lunch, Dim Sum Su do a great £5 meal deal which gets you a Bao, Fries and a Drink - amazing!

Wow, just wow! Why can't this place be in London?!?…read more So I'm banished to Widnes for work, but all is well as I've found this lovely place in Warrington. Reasonably priced dim sum, although I don't know how it compares in price to other places in area to be fair, a good bar with proper cocktails, and live music at times if tonight is anything to go by. (Most dishes are between £3 and £4, with a "gourmet" selection on the back of the checklist that is closer to £7 a dish.) The star is admittedly the dim sum menu... it's a proper check the box dim sum menu that is luckily served at any hour... I've been to too many places that advertise as having dim sum that actually only have a dim sum starter, or worse have a good dim sum menu only available at restricted times. There's your standard fair, but also things a bit more exotics such as stuffed chillies, rib ends with garlic and chilli, asparagus with chilli and garlic, etc... and of course chicken feet, because one must. The place is clean, with a bit of a classy feel to it without being too over the top, and has a good atmosphere with really pleasant staff that do a good job of making you feel welcome. They do have a standard menu, but I doubt I'll ever be able to comment on it! :D If you're in the area for one reason or another and a fan of dim sum then you must make your way here... I already know I'll have an embarrassing amount of check-ins when I'm in town... watch this space.

Yeh well it does, with nice portions, sound Chinese options and Japanese bits, strangely the place also does pasties?! I don't know if I want to give this a go as it frankly worries me. It's cheaper than the full on wings experience and the food comes close to the standards ran in the wings HQ. Free prawn crackers as well! Which are frankly unbeatable. Staff are accommodating and will make sure all goes well. It's 60p for dumplings and has lots of juices and the such. Very cheap, very cheerful and very nice!

It's perfect for a post-alcohol fuelled evening if you're in need of a pick me up at your desk. Although be prepared for the Chinese coma you are bound to experience after eating this! The place itself is primarily a take-out place with only 2 tables for those wishing to eat in. The price is fairly expensive I don't normally like spending £6.00 on a meal at lunchtime however when needs must... I haven't tried the chicken and sweetcorn soup however my colleagues are fans. I often go for the chicken/beef curry with half noodles and half chips. You get a fairly hearty amount with a drink on the side for £5.50, which isn't bad for a treat lunch. The time I also ordered a meat spring roll was the day I went overboard and spent the rest of my afternoon in a fairly unproductive way. The food is tasty and hits the spot when your looking for a belly-buster but isn't high on my list as is so many other good spots for lunch in Manchester city centre.

To start with I was quite extravagant, spending a tenner on burgers, artisan pies and the like - after spending my wages I started to bring in my own rabbit food salad *sad face.... But that was until I tried Rustica! I'd ways walked past and thought hmmm, not for me - what a fool I was. First of all Theres a great atmosphere in the shop; Motown playing, the girls chatty and friendly and a nice selection of pasta and hot/cold sandwiches. I plumped for the chicken club, it was warm, tasty and filling - everything you want from lunch, and only £3.35 - stuff your tesco meal deals! Don't let the functional layout stop you trying the best place for a cheap, quality bite to eat in the NQ!

A very small little kitchen with a counter it is on unlucky times brim to overflowing with folk desperate to eat one of them. By them of course I mean the sandwiches. It doesn't matter what you have its all made with look and affection. But if you really want something that fell from heaven there is one award winning bad boy the milano. On a granary bap it is filled with...... prepare yourself chicken, bacon, pesto, parmesan, mayonnaise and salad (this you can pick from the buckets of iceberg and sweetcorn bits etc). This is the single greatest sandwich I've ever eaten. The only time I don't have one is when the hour dictates its breakfast then I have a breakfast bin lid (a huge bap stuffed full of a big breakfast).
