Good selection without being overcrowded, which I appreciate. I found a coin purse, which was awesome. My husband and I were literally talking about me needing one last week. I was excited. Lol. Besides that, I found stickers and a journal. Which I always need new journals. Past that( they specialize in candles, soaps, and home decorations. It is a fun store to explore. The employee or owner working was kind and welcoming. He took his dog with him, who came out to greet us when we were at the counter, so I got my puppy fix while I was in there. I think more business owners should bring their dogs to work just for this reason. I thought the prices were good and the value was high. I spent $30 on the three things I bought, which wasn't bad. Would I return? Yes! Definitely yes. It is a fun store to explore, great owner running it, and very memorable. My husband and I both enjoyed it.

Downtown Springfield is really going through a revitalization, and Earth Elements is a part of…read morethat. This store is really beautiful with a lot of items that will make your home beautiful. Their fragrance items seem to be a big part of their portfolio, and it's a worthy focus. They have some really nice scents here, ones that I would not have expected to like at all given the combo. For instance, there was one called Strawberry + Violet, and another called Watermelon + Plum that had a nice subtle scent. I don't like violet and would have thought the scents of the second candle would have been too strong and artificial for me, but I ended up buying both. They also have air fresheners that are handmade here, and can be made to have the same scents as the candles. There are a couple of particularly interesting things about the shop. You can come in and make your own candle, as they have a candle bar. I think when she gets there she turns on the crockpot or whatnot to melt the wax and then you can make your candle, so you should contact them if you're interested so you don't come too early before the wax is melted. Similarly, I believe you can make your own air fresheners as well by adding your floral accents and then choosing the scents that you want to add. And even more unique, this shop offers refills of their candles. You can purchase the large candle, and then once it's burned down you can purchase a refill for it. To do this you'd have to practice excellent candle maintenance so that it burned evenly! But I think this is so awesome, and a way of being more environmentally conscious. The owner was friendly and very patient with my questions. I may have sounded like this was the first time I had seen a candle because I was not sure I understood the candle refill thing, and the air freshener option, etc. They also carry items by other local artists, and have home decor items like prints, pillows, reed diffusers, clothing items, and so on. Earth Elements is a must-visit when you're in the area.

My favorite part of Down to Earth is the building. Not knowing the history of the building itself,…read moreit appears to have once been some sort of granary warehouse. All the chutes and various chambers are very intriguing, then you get into the wares the store offers. Very much in sync with the atmosphere of the building. It would seem that whatever hobby or craft you are into, they have some of what you need. They definitely have plants, containers and such covered. Next is the cookware, then canning supplies, storage containers, macrame, animal supplies, personal care... the list goes on. The neat part of it all is that it all feels so vintage yet new. A very holistic shopping experience.

I love outdoor decor and have seen their stuff several times at home shows, and even bought a small…read morepiece of decor from them. I do like the items I've seen. My issue with them stems from the fact that I submitted a couple of questions through their website contact form (regarding both their products and services) and received absolutely no response from them. No response is, of course, a response in itself, and tells me that the answers to my questions were "no." Okay, I could accept that if they had given me an honest answer. But the fact that they didn't have the professional courtesy or ethical practice to even respond is what causes me to give them a poor review. So if all you care about is the product, and not the professional ethics of the company, I would say their stuff is okay.
