First ordered the wings and they came tossed in an overly sweet glaze although I will say they were cooked pretty decent. Next ordered the VBQ Pork which bahn mi that was under-stuffed and served with a side of lays chips poured on the plate which I thought was weird. All in all the sandwich had good taste but just felt it was lacking. I feel like this place has so much potential but attention to detail and service are seriously lacking.

My General Tso chicken was some of the best I've had in a while. It was actually HOT (spicy) instead of just tangy. The temperature of the food was nice and hot as well, which I like. (I don't mind having to wait a few minutes for the food to cool so I know it's cooked all the way through.) My son ordered the chicken Udon soup noodles and wasn't entirely happy with it. Said the flavor was rather bland. He barely ate a quarter of it. (Felt horrible that it happened on his birthday. :( ) Bottom line: Chin Chin is in the upper level of sushi and Chinese food restaurants for the Jonesboro area.

It's a simple concept but it was quite tasty. Having served in Korea two different times, my hand is a rice eater. Anytime he can get a bowl with a protein and veggies he's here for it. He got a large teriyaki chicken with rice and veggies with the eggroll as his side. It was a lot of food and he had leftovers for the next day. I got the orange chicken with yakisoba noodles and veggies also had the eggroll. That eggroll was delicious. I don't even know what the oil they gave as a dipping sauce was but it too was delicious. We were impressed with the simplicity and will absolutely stop through again. The cookie spot is next door if you need dessert.

This place isn't just good because of the food--it brings back so many childhood memories. I used to come here all the time with my mom, and going to Saffron was kind of our "fancy lunch." I would always beg her to get the drunken noodles because, as a kid, I thought the name was absolutely hilarious. Saffron is definitely nicer than your typical Asian fast-food restaurant, and one of the things I've always appreciated is that even when I order something as simple as chicken fried rice or chicken pad Thai, it doesn't feel greasy. The food has a nice, clean flavor, and the pad Thai has a great crunch on top that I really enjoy. I don't really have anyone to go here with anymore, but every now and then when I'm in town visiting my parents, I make a point to stop by. Tonight, I called my order in ahead of time, which is really convenient because I can literally do it while I'm driving on the interstate and then swing by to pick it up. It was the perfect meal tonight--not just because it was good, but because it brought back a little piece of my childhood. If you like Thai food, I definitely recommend giving Saffron a try.
