I had their lunch set that came with two onigiris, a small side, and miso soup for roughly 16 dollars. Each onigiri was flavorful with a good ratio of rice and filling. I got the salmon pickled radish onigiri and the mentaiko cheese onigiri. Both were delicious, but my favorite was hands down the mentaiko cheese onigiri! The saltiness of the mentaiko paired with the mildness of the mozzarella cheese was a delicious combination. Service was great and fast! The ambiance was very warm and there was a lot of space. Definitely would come back to try all the options.

Got the grilled octopus, lamb chops, mochi fluke, mentaiko spaghetti, azuki bean brownie and chocolate haupia sundae. The execution on these dishes were amazing. Tremendous job on the cook for all components. The vegetable pairings and choice of garnishes were excellent. Portions are a bit smaller for the price point, but still left full Service was also really quick. Staff were all really friendly and attentive to our needs. I had a reservation ahead of time as well. Space inside is on the smaller side, but cozy enough to have some room. Handful of tables available and some seats at the bar. Restroom available as well. I would love to try other items on the menu for next time. Every dish that came out wow'ed me. Very impressed!

Yet another crappy ghost kitchen disguising itself as a real restaurant to an undiscerning public…read morethat doesn't question anything on delivery apps. None of the uncanny AI slop photos of the food ever resemble the actual slop actually being served out of some sketchy nondescript door. There's at least two other fake restaurants besides this one that I've caught operating out of this specific 5th Ave location ("Glazed Hen" Korean fried chicken is another one), but whichever group runs them always sets up the same slate of fake restaurants in the same buildings. 1140 Utica Ave in Brooklyn is another known physical location they operate this scam out of. In the meantime I need for y'all to be a bit smarter when you go on these apps. DoorDash usually labels ghost kitchen junk "virtual brand" in small print on the store page, but UberEats and the rest all lie. If it's a place with a weird name that you never heard of that's delivering at all hours and has a suspiciously high rating on the delivery apps compared to here on Yelp, despite having no internet presence to speak of (no social media) it's a huge red flag. Don't support this scam.

We ordered delivery (can't comment on the restaurant space of service) and it arrived hot and fresh. We tried the make your own poke bowl with salmon and tuna (you get to pick two which I really like), over white rice with edamame, cucumber, avocado, mango, sesame seeds, onion crisps, seaweed salad and the poke sauce (with a side of siracha aiolic) along with the two protein BBQ bowl with beef bulgogi and pork katsu, with cole slaw and mac and cheese over hawaiian fried rice with katsu sauce. The katsu was still crispy and while I don't normally care much for fried rice, the hawaiian fried rice was very good. The poke bowl was fresh with a good amount of fish and again, I loved all of the toppings and things that you can add for free (the avocado is extra). Both bowls were very tasty and good sized portions. Given the quality and quantity, the prices were very reasonable (especially compared to other poke places) and I would definitely order from here again.

Can't wait to come back to try the lunch sandwiches and try their different seasonal food and beverages. The vibe in the coffee shop was bright and had minimalist decor. I tried the Hawaiian Latte and my bestie tried the Honey Almond Latte. We both enjoyed our drink, but if I realized how much syrup was in the Hawaiian Latte I would have passed on that. Well, it was vacation and no need to obsess over sugars on one stop. The reason I have a low rating was frankly due to the lack of customer service. I'm from out of town and maybe it's an expectation of mine to greet customers, and let them know when their order is ready, but there was none of that. The young man and gal were talking amongst themselves and didn't string up conversation or engage in any way shape or form. I'm not expecting to become the baristas friend, but acknowledgement is necessary in a customer service based job. Plenty of other spots to choose from in the city.

There is also a counter in the back of the store with ramen if you are looking for a more substantial meal. The service was as expected of a grocery store and the ambiance was a bit quiet that morning. I got their Spam Musubi. It was really tasty. The egg and spam had savory flavors that paired well with the plain rice. I wish the rice was not so thick and that the nori was a bit thicker, but still a scrumptious meal to grab on the go! I also bought this Japanese apple jelly drink which was refreshing. I want to come back to try their rice balls (onigiris), specifically the Shrimp Tempura. It is a small Hawaiian place that serves fresh food. The owner is friendly. The portion size of the food is a lot, so you will definitely not get hungry. Below are a few items that I had tried: Sushi Taco - I typically get ahi tuna or salmon (both are always fresh) mixed with spicy mayo. Hawaiian BBQ Plate - you have the option to do 1 to 3 proteins with 2 sides. The proteins that I typically pick are chicken katsu, bulgogi beef, or grilled shrimp. The sides that I typically pick are seaweed salad, charred broccoli, and crabmeat salad. Poke Bowl - you can't go wrong with picking ahi tuna or salmon (assuming you have no issues eating raw food) as your protein. Gyoza - it is fried and crispy, and I would recommend this over the pork dumplings. Pork Dumplings - it is so-so. The skin on the dumplings is too thick. Spam Musubi - it's just spam meat & seaweed wrapped over rice. Nothing too special. Overall, give this place a try if you're ever around this area!

You get to build your burrito by picking two proteins: charred chicken thigh, herb roasted chicken, tender prime beef, shrimp, ahi tuna (raw), salmon (raw), crabmeat, spicy tuna, or tofu. All burritos include cucumber, lettuce, onion, cilantro, pickled radish, wonton crisps, and avocado. I chose ahi tuna and salmon. I'm used to my scallion pancakes being crispy. Unfortunately, this scallion pancake was kind of soggy. I ate it at a countertop at the front of the store, so it wasn't like I was carrying it in a takeout box and it got soggy over time. I wanted to like it, especially since it's got everything I like: scallion pancake, ahi tuna, salmon, veggies, all wrapped up into burrito form. But the soggy scallion pancake was kind of a letdown.

Since it was delivery, I cannot say anything about the restaurant itself (service, decoration, vibe etc), I can only comment on the food. I tried the goma shoyu tuna and others went with the negitoro don tartare and sichuan chili salmon. The feedback overall was it was too expensive for the portion size. The portion wasn't small, but it certainly wasn't big. We were all still a little hungry after eating our bowls. Regarding my order, the goma shoyu tuna, the fish was good, but not great and for my bowl at least, I felt it was lacking in flavor. I did not taste any chili oil and the only real flavor present in the dish came from the seaweed salad. Chikarashi does not allow you to make your own poke bowl, which I feel is unfortunate. I usually like to get both tuna and salmon and add a bunch of toppings/ingredients and that is not an option for any of their bowls.

Im giving it just 1 star for the crispiness but it's not authentic lumpia by any means. It tasted more like those bootlegged spring rolls from Chinese American takeout restaurants. Each roll was also very skinny/lacked filling. Saimin w chicken katsu - 2/5. To be fair I've never had Hawaiian style ramen before so I don't know if saimin is supposed to taste like this. But if I had to choose between a bowl of ramen from a Japanese restaurant or this saimin, you can't pay me to choose the latter. It was like a whitewashed version of ramen, in which the broth had a vegetable flavor and not rich at all. The toppings were Naruto slices and bits of veggies. The katsu was ok but not memorable. Loco moco plate - 3/5 my husband loves loco moco so I had to get it for him. I was surprised it came with two eggs (you get to choose how you want them done) and two Patties. So basically two servings in this plate! Despite the generous portion, the food was just alright. We had loco moco from vert frais (jap French fusion eatery in LIC) recently, and that was so much better. The patty here was neither tender nor juicy. The sauce was pretty average but vert frais' was above average. I was really looking forward to the macaroni salad in the plate but they didn't give a lot (they piled it on some rice so it looked like more than it was). The Mac salad was also a little on the plainer side. Only had a couple of carrot shreds I'm tempted to come back to try their seafood but I have my doubts
