That took care of a key problem when no one else could. Fast and efficient. The guys are very knowledgeable there also.

Spicer's Boat City - Seadoo Switch

We put it in the water and the jet ski now did not beep but now would not go faster than 32 mph. Also, they lost our oil cap and had to reorder one. Second visit July 13: they took less than an hour to diagnose a throttle sensor. This was another $400 charge. We put it in the water and issue remained the same- would not go above 32 mph which typically means it isn't firing all cylinders. Third visit July 27: when we dropped it off they claimed "this is on us". They split the haul again and claimed the connector had been bent and the fix was an engine harness for $1400. We asserted that this had to have been done by their tech on visit 1 as no one has touched that since it was manufactured. They claim it was the problem all along. Picked it up on aug. 5 the haul was still split. We got it home and we bent the connector to make it tight. The jet ski has worked perfectly since then.

After our experience with Spicer's, I would not buy from them again…read more My partner and I purchased approximately $45,000 worth of brand-new equipment from them, a UTV for around $35,000 and an ATV for around $10,000. We were cash buyers and had absolutely no issue paying for what we purchased. When we made the purchase, Spicer's was using a new payment system. We provided everything they asked for, their finance department processed it, and we were told everything went through successfully. They even told us we could pick up both vehicles the next day. We had a family emergency and couldn't pick them up until the following week. When we finally did, their driver loaded both vehicles and headed toward our property with us following him. Then, without warning, their driver pulled over on the side of the highway and stopped the delivery. We were left sitting there with no real explanation, feeling like we had done something wrong or were trying to take $45,000 worth of equipment without paying for it. Eventually we learned that one of the payments hadn't processed correctly through THEIR new system. Here is what really bothered me: more than a week had passed. If there was a problem with the payment, Spicer's had plenty of time to identify it and contact us. Had we picked the vehicles up the very next day as originally planned, they presumably would have had to contact us afterward about the payment anyway, and we would have immediately taken care of it. We weren't refusing to pay. We weren't avoiding anyone. We weren't trying to get something for free. We are honest people who had just spent a significant amount of money with their business. As soon as they told us there was a problem, we said we would go directly to Huntington Bank and get a cashier's check. And that is exactly what we did. We drove to Huntington, obtained the cashier's check and physically handed it to their driver in the Huntington parking lot. The driver told the manager he had the certified check in his hand. Apparently that still wasn't good enough. The manager refused to release our vehicles until he received a picture of the check. Spicer's own driver didn't have a phone capable of sending the picture they were requiring, so once again WE were left sitting there waiting while they figured out a problem created by their own process. To make matters worse, part of the urgency apparently involved wanting their employees to get home early for the Fourth of July. I have no problem with employees getting home to their families. But don't make your internal scheduling problem the customer's problem, especially after your own payment system caused the issue in the first place. If your system makes an error, call the customer and fix it. Don't stop customers on the side of the highway with $45,000 worth of equipment behind them and make them feel like criminals when they've done absolutely nothing dishonest. We even contacted the owner afterward because we thought he should know how badly the situation was handled. Instead of feeling like our concerns were genuinely heard, we felt they were dismissed. Mistakes happen. Technology fails. Payments occasionally don't process correctly. I can understand all of that. What I can't understand is treating good customers this way when they immediately did everything asked of them to correct YOUR system's problem. We paid what we owed, immediately addressed the issue, and did exactly what we said we would do. Treat your customers with the same good faith you expect from them. We won't be purchasing from Spicer's again.

American Anchor - Our new beautiful boat

    American Anchor

A tree totaled our pontoon. After a week, of looking for a replacement, we decided that maybe a…read moreboat was not in our future. Then we found the perfect brand new pontoon on American Anchor website. It was perfect and the right price (believe me, we looked at hundreds of boats, mostly used and way overpriced). The boat was within the price we received for our 2016 pontoon. Unfortunately, it was Saturday, I was in a panic that it would be gone by Monday. My husband emailed the website, wrote that we were very interested and specifically what we wanted. Tim D. called us right back, said he could do everything we wanted and that the boat was ours. He actually called us back 2 times during his night off to answer our questions. I was so relieved and excited that the boat was ours and didn't have to worry it would be gone. We went in That Monday, saw the boat, and it was beautiful, just like the photos we had seen. They made our purchase very easy and we found the perfect boat for us. They had everything installed perfectly and ready to go in a very timely fashion. Tim even helped us order the diving board and had it installed. First time we had ever been there but in the future I will always go there for our boating needs. Thank you again American Anchor, Tim and boat mechanics for making our new pontoon purchase very enjoyable. surprisingly we love this boat and layout more than our last poor boat.

Chris gave me apples for apples, best price right out of the gate with no bartering. I did show him my research on boats. This was in January I believe, boat is yet to be built and delivered this spring. Great experience and they earned a new customer. In addition to that, he helped price and market my used pontoon boat - sold in 45 minutes for more that I paid for it ! Yelp is putting me in Ca., what an insult, I am from Fremont, Mi. !!!!!!!!!!!!
