The original order and deposit ONLY was placed on 5/8/2015. We would have gladly taken a check at delivery. Gladly...gladly. We don't turn money down. Yet, getting one out of Terry S proved to be impossible...literally. We delivered the lift with ONLY his $1000 down. He NEVER got a check to us and we had to accept payment via credit card only after informing him we would NOT deliver the top and frame without final payment. He avoids these FACTS completely and obfuscates the truth with a sales pitch for another facility.
Okay, so we wait for weeks for payment. Note, this was four weeks later. Not four days...four weeks. We processed the payment on 6/4/2015. We have documentation of each transaction. He exaggerates when he spins the story that he spent "nearly ten grand". It was $7850 plus MI sales tax. He also lies when he "burned a day off" and 7 hours for nothing. Didn't he just state the lift was installed? Yet, another exaggeration, lie, obfuscation, prevarication or whatever intelligent HONEST people call it. FACT...the lift got installed on the day it was scheduled, he didn't pay anything other than his deposit. Refute that Terry...
Odd how when you confront a liar with facts, they call YOUR integrity into question? How does responding to lies with FACTS question the integrity of those presenting the truth...namely our business and me? He states "Never once have I had a problem". Well, tell the truth Terry S, you did this time eh? So, after never having a problem, we are the ONLY ones who you've failed to get a check to? Yes, at delivery there was two small brackets missing from the lift that should have been there. I sent a driver to meet the installer half way from the installation point in order to get the parts to this faux customer so that he wouldn't have to wait and so he could use the lift. The total delay was an hour.
Finally, he suggests he is not trying to slam a business for no reason. Yet, he is. Also, a lie right in print. After servicing 341 boats this season, selling 41 lifts, and having them installed by a competent delivery team, and having only ONE individual dissatisfied, the truth becomes quite obvious. Read his Yelp posts...need I say more. Did he, or did he NOT fail to get payment to the retailer? It's a simple question. Yet, he will respond with more crap about ocean front property in Arizona?
Caveat Promptor....seller beware. This guy is a scam artist looking for a freebie. If you want to get "dicked around" as he suggest...just deal with him. He knows exactly how to dick people around with his "checks in the mail" line of bull.... Terry...if you'd like to discuss this further, feel free to stop by. We can iron this out in person. WE look forward to your visit. read more
