A tree totaled our pontoon. After a week, of looking for a replacement, we decided that maybe a boat was not in our future. Then we found the perfect brand new pontoon on American Anchor website. It was perfect and the right price (believe me, we looked at hundreds of boats, mostly used and way overpriced). The boat was within the price we received for our 2016 pontoon. Unfortunately, it was Saturday, I was in a panic that it would be gone by Monday. My husband emailed the website, wrote that we were very interested and specifically what we wanted. Tim D. called us right back, said he could do everything we wanted and that the boat was ours. He actually called us back 2 times during his night off to answer our questions. I was so relieved and excited that the boat was ours and didn't have to worry it would be gone. We went in That Monday, saw the boat, and it was beautiful, just like the photos we had seen. They made our purchase very easy and we found the perfect boat for us. They had everything installed perfectly and ready to go in a very timely fashion. I shopped all over the country, literally, online, this year for a new pontoon boat. I did this before going to American Anchor which is near where I live so that I could bring in the lowest price I could to barter. Chris gave me apples for apples, best price right out of the gate with no bartering. I did show him my research on boats. This was in January I believe, boat is yet to be built and delivered this spring. Great experience and they earned a new customer. In addition to that, he helped price and market my used pontoon boat - sold in 45 minutes for more that I paid for it ! If you believe that response I have some ocean front in Arizona for sale. I also offered to hand them a check in person when the lift arrived at my house but they would not agree to that. I live 3.5 hours away from the installation site and 4 hours to their store. I took 1 day off work as we had delivery scheduled. I sat waiting for half a day and finally call to see what is going on and they said we didn't get the check so couldn't deliver it. No phone call or heads up. I burned a day off and 7 hours in the car from Chicago and back for nothing. A check was sent via my banks online bill pay. Never once have I had a problem. The bank assured me the check went out and I have the digital copy to prove it. He accuses me of not trying to pay or something which just further calls into question the integrity of this operation. When the installer did arrive he had to sit and wait for an hour because american anchor didn't give him the right parts for that lift. A truck shows up with the right parts but it's now too late in the day to do the job. Buyer beware. If you want a great experience go to a place like Hideaway Boats and call Chuck. That guy was fantastic in working with me where I bought a $30k boat with cash on the spot on a weekend. Super flexible, out of his way beyond normal customer service and satisfaction. Post transaction follow ups and even bought me a new prop as he felt the factory one wasn't best for my boat. If you want to get dicked around with call Tim.
