The owner is a complete business idiot. He treats customers like enemies, never answers the phone, and only calls when he gets pissed off at one of your emails asking where the heck your order is. I only wish I had read all of the one star reviews about this company before thinking I would be treated any differently. Thankfully, my order fell through because, I wouldn't put a Hansons product on my Jeep if he gave it to me for free after being treated the way I was by this moron. Go to Rusty's and not only will they get your product in a timely manner, they'll give you a confirmation, treat you with respect, and appreciate your business. Caveat Emptor Update: Today I cancelled my order placed on January 1, 2026 with a E-mail to Hanson Off Road. Below is what I sent and amazingly...Steve actually called me a hour later to spout prevarications and to yell at me for "sending him a crazy e-mail". I also have ordered a lot of products, back dating befire the original owner sold the company. o learned some good lessons from my bank. Never pay for a high dollar product with anything but PayPal or a CC. Debit and other forms of payments have practically little recourse for filing claims and disputing transactions. I placed a new order some months ago. I've had a number of jeeps I've outfitted since 2005. After my order I was digging around looking for other Jeep owners and to look at their builds. Thats when I found out that Steve, his companies and a few other employees were in court facing multiple charges of fraud against a multitude of customers. I paid Steve (the owner) of Hanson Offroad $1300 for a Bronco bumper over a year ago. He's promised it about a dozen times but never delivers. Called about a week ago to let him know my paitence had run out and I just wanted my money back, and lost it on me over the phone like I was the Deadbeat! This has been a tough experience for my son and I. My 17 year old son ordered a front bumper for his ZJ over 8 months ago with $1000 he saved by himself. We have been promised several times that it would ship and have been lied to again and again. We called 2 months ago and they said it was on a pallet and would ship with a tracking number by 2pm that day...nothing. We have called a few times since then and the lady answering the phone promises a return call...crickets again! One of the worst company experiences I've ever had. Ordered a front bumper and skid plate from the company directly. I was told it would be a few weeks which eventually turned into months. Same story about powder coating etc. After fighting with them and filing a credit card dispute, I received the bumper. Never received the skid plate. Credit card dispute was won in their favor and I'm out a skid plate. Never have I dealt with such a dishonest company in my life. There are plenty of bad ratings/stories on this company online. As for the bumper, it's already starting to rust and it's been on the jeep less than a year. Fitment was also an issue. read more

Being a customer dating back to the days of Wayne Hanson and Hanson Enterprise I decided to have the same style bumpers, rocker guards and tire carrier on my new 23 JLU as my old YJ. I ordered everything in early November then the owner Steve calls me up a week later with promises of a jump start on everything , requesting a payment in full and a delivery of everything the second week of December, First week of December he calls me up thar there would be delays but everything will go out by the 3rd week of December which then ended up being delivered on January 25th and to my surprise no Rocker guards were on the pallet. I confronted him on that and he said the Rockers were at the powder coaters. Aweek later he claimed the powder coaters had issues and have to start the whole process later. I really suspected he hadn't even started building the rockers, about another 3 weeks goes by and tells me the rockers are going out the next day. 2 weeks goes by and nothing, the shipping broker contacted me on March 14th telling me the Rocker's will be in on the next day on the 15th and it looks like the previous shipping number was bogus. Overall, the quality of all the products is nothing like it was under Wayne Hansons helm, front bumper sticks out 1/2 of an inch more on the passenger side, I'll need to oblong one of the holes to get the last bolt in as well as shim it out, there's pit in the metal on the driver's side that you can see in the photo below just left of the tape measure. The rear bumper requiring to oblong all 12 mounting holes and sticks out a 1/4 inch more on the passenger side, no holes for the backup sensors, the powder coat chips on both bumpers and the tire rack that required a bunch of cutting and drilling and will never be quite right, it attaches to the tailgate and will not allow the tailgate to open all the way because the left post binds up against the tailgate latch handle. The Rocker guards are not one piece they weld two sections together then grind the outer surface to finish it off but you can see the grind marks and very rippled uneven surface. The workmanship is shoddy, nothing but lies, blaming things on others. All I can say at this point is stay away from this outfit, hard to believe how they can even stay in business as I see everyone else has similar issues with this company. read more

From the constant lies from the salesman to Steve himself blaming his employees on the delays and then waiting another 2 months to recieve. It was a total of 5 months to recieve my $1500 rear bumper, I was told that it was at the powdercoaters for 4 months..I was also told it would be ready to ship by the end of the week 8 times. Steve himself gave me his word that it would ship by the end of the week or his word didnt mean shit...it took 2 more months. After I recieved it, it was missing half the parts, after calling them they seems to know exactly what was missing and sent. 30 days later its rusting on the inside where the powder coaters missed. Horrible experience with this company. I ordered a part from them through Amazon on June 17, 2019 with expected delivery around July 22 - Aug 16 and never received the part. Amazon instructed me to get in contact with them and so I did but all I ever heard was, "It'll be shipped out next week" which went on for about a month or so until today when I was told, "It's stuck in powder coating". I was irritated and asked Daniel (office secretary? or manager?) to put Steve on the phone (manager? owner?) who became defensive when I asked him where the part was and started comparing his behavior with the other reviews posted below. BUYER BEWARE! Placed and order on e bay from this place- ad said parts was in stock, ( one available). I purchased the product and after 2 weeks of no shipping details I called and talked to Steve the owner who then says that the ad had a typo and that the part was not in stock and was special order. Steve said that it would ship that Saturday ,1-19-19. Two more weeks later I called again, this time Steve wasnt available so I taked with Jeremy who said that it had just been finished in powder coating and was shipping out that saturday. 2-2-19 another week later and I call again with jeremy who now says that he's not sure what the status is and he will call me back by end of day. 2-18-19 NO PHONE CALL Called again 2-19-19. Steve not in, Jeremy not in. Lady on phone says she will have someone call me back later today and doesnt know status. This place is a joke. Lots of complaints, broken promises, lies, mis- information, excuses, etc. BBB rating is 1.3 out of 5. Very poorly ran business with no ethics. Obviously shady business. See another gentleman whos been waiting over 3 months with no reply after seeking reviews on this place because of lack of communication skills from this business. If you have lots of money to spare and dont care about broken promises, lack of communication or simply dont care if you ever receive your products then order from these folks. I have a bumper and winch mount plate from them. The winch plate bent severely from regular use. They responded to my first email and requested pictures. After sending them photos, they refuse to reply to me. I will never give them another dime of my money and I removed their sticker from my Jeep. I had to buy a mounting plate from another company to be able to use my winch again. read more

My son purchased rocker guards from Hanson Offroad. The steel plate that holds the rockers on the jeep rusted (sourced by HO). There is no other rust on the jeep, except for the steel plate on the rockers. Clearly the prep/paint job was problematic! And, of course the rust did not manifest itself until after the one year warranty expired. When presented with this information, HO offered no help whatso ever. At this point, a body shop is concerned that they will damage the doors/frame of our jeep if they attempt to remove the rockers.....in fact they have refused to do the work.
