Dr. Roith came across as a very experienced and calm doctor who genuinely cares about all his patients with an great, caring, and a little jovial bedside manner. I went to my appointment with the thought of removing the toenail, as per all the previous doctors I had shown it to - NP, PCP and even Dermatologists and he made me feel at ease and told me not to worry, and that we will work on it with his treatment (so practical and easy to follow) to eradicate the issue. I left the appointment feeling confident and worry free. The staff was very sweet and guided me well. The clinic was clean and organized. Highly recommended!

I went to my primary care physician and another podiatrist and received unsatisfactory recommendations. I was then referred to Dr. Roith and immediately appreciated the way he looked for and addressed the "root cause" of my foot pain and developed a surgical plan accordingly, as a final resort. That foot surgery was nothing short of life-changing. Now in my twenties, I am living a very active, pain-free life, and am able to do all things I missed out on as a teenager due to foot pain. So grateful for Dr. Roith and this practice!

I am sharing this to help others make informed decisions. I spent nearly a week in the ICU with four broken ribs and never received a clear explanation as to why this happened. I had to take 8 weeks of unpaid leave under FMLA to recover, which caused serious financial strain. Despite this experience, I decided to try the procedure again in April 2025 at a different facility with Dr Park. Unfortunately, I experienced another serious complication. While recovering, it was discovered that Dr. Park had accidentally nicked an artery in my leg, causing a massive hematoma. I had to undergo emergency surgery by a vascular surgeon, and what should have been an overnight stay turned into another week in the hospital, followed by another 3 weeks of unpaid leave. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to speak with Dr. Park or someone in his office regarding what happened, the impact it's had on my health and finances, and my questions about billing. I was told I would not be allowed to speak with him, and no one has returned my three calls. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability and communication. These complications -- both life-threatening -- and the complete absence of follow-up care or explanation are unacceptable. I personally believe Dr. Park takes on too much and moves too quickly, which may have contributed to the errors in my care. Please be cautious if you are considering this provider. My experience has been physically, emotionally, and financially devastating, and I am still dealing with the aftermath.

I'm so grateful he was my surgeon he changed my life by removing the parts of my colon that diverticulitis had destroyed. His PA is wonderful too. I was scared to death, and he was amazing. He spoke to me on my level, not speaking down to me in medical jargon. He drew pics to help explain, he shared things about his own health to help build trust. After my colectomy, I saw him in the office numerous times, and he responded to all of the silly questions I asked and emails I sent. On top of me getting so sick, I got divorced in the midst of it, and he was sure to check on my mental health and let me know that I have support. When it was time to reverse my ostomy, I was resistant for a number of emotional reasons. Kulow talked to me like he was my friend and helped me accept that it was time to move to the final phase and close up my stoma. My last surgery was in October 2020, it also involved a hernia repair and he was so flexible, working around another provider's schedule while also honoring my timeline. Kulow stayed with me up until the end of the year when my insurance changed. I pray that I never need a colorectal surgeon ever again, but if I did, I would do everything in my power to find my way back to Ben Kulow. He knows what he's talking about, he's the best at what he does and he makes it feel manageable. He is kind and funny; he taught me to use humor to get through this.
