One initial hiccup, then excellent repair service. My husband called about our washer and dryer. Was told it'd be $150 total to look at them both. An appointment was made, but they never called to tell us a time window. He called them and had to get an appointment for later in the week because they forgot about us. However, the service we received was excellent. We opted to have both the washer and dryer repaired, he had the necessary parts with him. The $150 fee was applied to the total cost which was a lot cheaper than buying refurbished or new appliances instead. We're happy with them and will use again if we need to. read more

I would have to say the place is the worse ever. I got sick in December last year. When I was in the hospital my daughter and ex husband called them and let them take my other washer that worked and got this hunk of junk instead. Number 1 I owned the washer they took! I called them a few times while in in out of hospital. They sent some guy out and he put 3 things in washer and said it spinner out just fine! Well if you only want to wash a couple things that fine I guess. Any more than that forget it! I called again they said they would call back of course they never did. I have been in and out of hospital because of cancer. My friends took my laundry and did it. They took my other washer without my permission! Talk about taking advantage of a sick person. They do! Door dented by installers never got replaced despite promises that it would get addressed.

Quick response when I called for service. They charged $129 to look at the dishwasher. Was told they would order parts and return. I never heard from them again. I called 3 weeks later asking for update and was told they would call me back. Never received a call. Four weeks after that, I called to voice my displeasure. I did receive a call after that conversation, saying the parts were hard to find. Communication with customers seems to be lacking. Seems they like to collect $129 from the customer but never follow-up or communicate again. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER RELATIONS. read more

Went to Hansen's to buy stove. Had one main requirement, a downdraft for an island installed stove. Purchased a unit based on this, plus paid $60 to Hansen's to remove my nearly new existing unit. New unit had cosmetic damage which Hansen's advised me to call manufacture to get repairs. Still waiting on that to happen. The worst part, the new unit does not have downdraft after all. After several time of me calling them, they told me to go buy a down draft add on. The cost for that is the same as the stove I just purchased. If you go there to purchase, be very cautious and double check what you are told. Once they get your money, you are on your own. read more

Hansen's Appliance Thank You‼‼‼‼‼‼ Our kitchen refrigerator broke October 2020. The new replacement was expected June 2021 ,then two weeks ago the date was maybe October, November this year. We've been using the garage refrigerator........finally decided to look for a used one to put in the kitchen. My husband went to an appliance shop for a used refrigerator, that also does repairs. The employee after hearing about our non repairable one, ala Frigidaire, said " I can fix that". Well we were told one of the three parts needed for the repair was unobtainable. I have been waiting nearly a week for repair on a refrigerator door that was purchased from Hanson's. Each time I called the repair appointment was pushed out further. I supposedly had an appointment today only to find out it hadn't been scheduled and I re-arranged my whole day to be here. Now it is scheduled for Friday!! The refrigerator door literally fell off the pins and into my arms. It wasn't pulled recklessly. I have put off buying groceries because it isn't sealing correctly as it is just sitting in place!! We had a new Maytag delivered and discovered after Hansen's delivery personnel left that the light didn't come on when we opened the door.Hansen's helped make arangements for the repair to be made by WFCC Fields. WFCC Fields damaged the frig and said "oh well it couldn't be helped" and for us to contact the manufacturer.Hansen's charges a 30% restocking fee which is punitive when there is a manufacturing or repair problem.We will have to do all the leg work now for a crappy frig. read more

We got a very good deal on a two year old refurbished Frigidaire in excellent condition, saving about $300 off the same model brand new. The sales staff were knowledgeable and helpful, measuring items for us, looking up model numbers and details, etc. They also said they could order a new fridge and price match the sale that was going on at a couple of the big box stores nearby if we'd prefer something new. Our fridge was delivered early in the promised delivery window on Monday afternoon. The delivery man, Frank, called to say he was on his way, and arrived just when he said he would. He didn't have a lot of space to work in, but he was so careful in removing the old fridge and bringing in the new one that there wasn't a scratch or bump on anything. He set up the new fridge and made sure it was properly balanced and running as it should before he left. He was pleasant, professional and fast! We are very pleased with our purchase and will happily recommend Hansen's to our friends and neighbors. When we're ready for a new stove, we'll definitely be back! read more

I just used Hansen's Appliance for the second time and I could not be more satisfied with the service they offer. Danny was great with both explaining my options regarding repairing vs a new purchase and communicating with me through the repair process (the route I chose to take). When Josh picked up and returned my dryer (because it required a repair made within their store) he was very careful in my home to not hit walls or furniture. I have always found anyone from Hansen's to be friendly and overall helpful. I feel the pricing has been very fair for the services performed and everything has been in a timely manner. We hired Hansen's Appliance Repair to fix our Samsung dishwasher. Tech came out and diagnosed the issue in 15 minutes. Told us it was the water leak sensor and ordered the part. We paid their 250 up front charge which included coming back and finishing the job. Called us the next day saying the part was on backorder. Well 2 years later clearly we have purchased a new unit. We requested a 125 refund since the repair was never going to happen in a timely fashion. I understand the part being on backorder is not their fault, but to charge us 1000 an hour to diagnose an issue is unheard of. They never offered to refund our money, but offered us 75 store credit. Clearly we don't want to do business with thus scam of a company. Their store prices are way higher than regular appliance stores. We would have still paid more for our replacement dishwasher. I would rate zero stars if allowed. I highly recommend you never do business with this non reputable business. read more

I have a Maytag dryer that needed a motherboard and they could have sold me a new one but repaired what originally cost me $1600 for the dry cleaning feature for $150 for the part. Then waited for delivery for a couple weeks while paying for the unit I wanted, that's when they tried to upsale to a different unit. Avoid this store they don't have good business practices. Hello today is 313 2019 I went to Hansen's used appliances on Ridge Road in Largo and was looking for a stacker which is a washer on the bottom and a dryer on the top and I would've shown a number of them and I chose one that was 10 or more years older and a price on it was $625 which I discussed with the cashier or sales individual and they informed me in order for it to be delivered to Oldsmar it would cost an additional $75 at at that point I offered him $600 delivered and they refused the offer saying that this is not a used unit this is a refurbished unit and I asked them how was it possible that you would refurbish a 10+ years old are you in it and say it was not used and the remark was all no it's not use this refurbished there's a difference which I raise my eyebrows and looked at him and said in order for you to refurbish it it would have to wear been used and it is over 10 years old so I think $600 delivered is a reasonable cost and he went on to argue about It being a refurbished unit in which I told him I've been in this business longer than you've been alive and I don't appreciate you guys taking advantage of older people to sell them antiques. read more

This company is very unreliable. I got a refrigerator from them at the beginning of June and it was broken. It cost $500 for a used fridge. They came out to fix it and it broke again. Then they said they had to order a part 2 1/2 months later I had to call back and tell them that they had forgotten about my refrigerator. I'm a single mom. They wasted hundreds of dollars of my groceries, and I get no assistance with anything. They seem to have one nice person that works there. The customer service by the owner Fred Hansen is horrible! He never called to in inform us that the delivery wasn't going to happen. We waited 2 1/2 hours with not even a no show call! I finally got a hold of him and one of his many excuses was he had 47 calls to make and he could not get to all of them. What an idiot! We had already spent $8,000 2 weeks prior with Hansen's dealing with another customer service problem. When his guy installed the appliances he left saw dust all over the counters, stove, inside the cabinet, and all over the floor. I talked to Fred about that getting the same excuses! I still went and purchased the washer and dryer thinking it was a 1 time problem. I have never been so wrong and made them credit the sale back to my credit card. Fred handled this so poorly he yelled at me saying to go ahead and go to his competitor which we would get the same lousy service that Hansen's is giving us. We did go to his competitor which was a wonderful experience! We will be purchasing our daughters 4 kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, and everything in the future from everyone else. Do not use them!!!!! This WAS my local go to place but they have changed. They are rude on the phone, rude when they come to your house and EXPENSIVE! Totally scammed us on a used fridge for over $1000 with a dent when the exact same NEW refrigerator at Best Buy was $150 less. The warranty is also a joke, doesn't include the charge for coming to your house, or the parts.....but most of all they are so unhelpful and act like you are an inconvenience to them. Worse customer service ever. I bought an expensive washer and dryer from them. Now they are saying that maybe they were refurbished, I was never told that when I paid top dollar for them. They have sent out inexperienced service people several times to repair both units to the point that washer leaked and damaged my tile floor and cabinet. Then they come and say they have to take my matching washing machine to the shop to fix it and give me and old white top loading clunker. After weeks of waiting I call to follow up and play phone tag with them. I finally get a person that says oh ya lady, we can't fix your unit, but just keep that piece of junk we gave you??? Who does that? They do. Then that breaks and I call last week to have it repaired or removed and they have the nerve to tell me it's out of warranty. It never had a warranty and I never wanted it, I wanted my matching machine back to call a normal service company to fix. Then I call last week and am met with a rude repair person. He asks what do you want me to do? I tell him to either come and fix it or remove it from my home. He tells me that the owner is not in but will call me back. I get no return call Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. I call today and have the same conversation with a new even ruder person and he asks me what is he supposed to do? I tell him that the owner never called me back and he says he doesn't get that in the notes. I simply say well I left a message and need to speak with him and see if he is going to be professional and do the right thing. The guy proceeds to argue with me about them not wanting the machine and it not being worth fixing and simply says just come in and buy a new one? Why would I buy anything from them ever? I won't. I will also never have them repair anything. They drilled sheet metal screws into my stainless steel fridge and are such hackers. read more
