Yet again fantastic and quick service by Jacob. I called about our pesky GE fridge and describes…read morethe problem Within half an hour or 35 minutes the bell rang and there he was. Without even so much as a blink, Jacob knew EXACTLY what the problem was and fixed the fridge in less than 10 minutes. Turned out that his experience taught him that the particular model of icebox we have is well known for this particular issue (faulty fan). Lo and behold, that's what it was, and he knew so before he got here. He had the new fan on his hand when he rang the doorbell. Another nice thing is that he cleaned all the gunk out of the chill cabinet before replacing shelves and contents. All in all Jacob was here for maybe 20 minutes! He answered our questions plus a few tips for best usage and upkeep. He also indicated that otherwise our fridge was running well and normally. I truly am edified by how quick, courteous and efficient Jacob is: especially for being a younger fellow. As usual, I give Jacob as enthusiastic a rating as I can muster. I highly recommend him for troubleshooting and fixing your home appliances if you don't wanna just run out and buy new.

Originally called in August 2026 to asses the problem with a nine year old dryer. Rep came and…read morenever assessed the problem but went ahead and made a repair of some sort and charged me 259.00. At no time did he tell me about the problem or the potential charge. I needed a dryer, so I went ahead and paid because dryer was now running. The rep then told me if it breaks again within the next ninety days, he would need to come back and replace the belt. Two months later, October 2026, the dryer is not running. I called to make an appointment and was told the belt would cost 261.00 for a 150.00 dollar item. I cancelled the appointment. It is obvious that the rep knew what the problem was when he came the first time. I think he saw that I needed a dryer, because my clothes were laid out in the garage, and he took advantage. Almost 600.00 dollars to fix a nine year old dryer is insane. I can not stand to deal with people who take advantage of people who are in need. I was told by another person that it is the motor that is going bad in my dryer and that a belt would not fix the problem. How dare you do that to people, I believe what goes around will come around. I believe that some of your people will be treated the exact same way that you have treated me and others. I would never, never use these people again, nor recommend them again because they take advantage of people.

CLOTHES DRYER REPAIR When the sound coming out of the…read moreelectric clothes dryer sounded like rocks rolling around in a tin can I knew it was perhaps on its last cycle. A trip to Home Depot and other appliance shops indicated I was looking at $500 to over $700 for a a new compatible dryer plus delivery and installation to replace the noise maker at home. Not knowing what the malady was with the my noise making Whirlpool dryer I decided to call a repair service to see if they could resurrect life back into a machine that had given up. Based on the five star reviews, I selected Tampa Bay Appliance Fix in Brandon. The first good news was that they would be able to send a technician out that afternoon. The second was that the service call fee would be subtracted from the repair work. Five minutes after technician Tim Hart arrival, the drum from the dryer was lying on the floor exposing the worn out parts causing the problem. He had new replacement parts in his van and 30 minutes later the dryer was working soundlessly doing its job. Thanks to the professional work of Tim, the lady of the house was happy and I saved over $500 not having to buy a new dryer. This is my five star review for the many others Tampa Bay Appliance Fix has earned.
