I have dealt with Hansen Motors in the past for vehicle maintenance/repairs on other vehicles I've owned, and I have always found them to be fair, honest, and reputable. They treated us well and have is a decent price on my new LaCrosse. There was an issues with the spare key fob and they have me a new vehicle to drive, filled my has tank and washed my car as well as fixed my key. They made sure we were treated right. I have worked with Hansen for some time now, and they are the opposite of what you'd expect at a typical dealership. They are focused on customer service and there's no pressure. Sales and service are both great to work with. I live in Utah county, but I wouldn't do business with anyone else for GM vehicles. It is a long drive from where I live, but well worth it. I rented a car from this place when I received the car it had McDonald's garbage and empty drinks and stuff stuffed under the seat and in the door panels and it was very dirty inside. I returned it cleaner Atlanta I got it and now they're charging me $100 cleaning fee. Definitely will not rent from them again and would not suggest you do either. Do NOT do business with Hansen Motor Co. in Brigham City. The rental department, at least, is disorganized and run by irresponsible people who do not care about customers. We rented a car through Hertz (Brigham City, UT) who gave us Hansen Motors as the pickup spot. We had a reservation number, and a price, and everything was (supposedly) set to go. When we arrived they said they do not honor reservations made through Hertz. So they did not even know if they had a car to rent to us. And once they decided that they did, the price went up a LOT. How much? I don't know exactly because they couldn't even tell us the price until they ran our credit card. They wouldn't accept cash so we had to transfer money to a credit card. But when they ran the card, it got declined because they had not given us an accurate total. When I asked what their relationship with Hertz was, they could not explain in a way that made any sense to me and acted like I was dumb for not understanding. Their business is a disgrace to my happy little community. read more

Simple concept, do not drive peoples cars around. . . period. You never explained why my car drove through mud deep enough that there is mud all the way up the side walls, requiring a car wash. I hope it was touchless, because you scratched my car! I either use touchless or use a 2 bucket method. You never asked permission to do that either? You offer services! People do not offer you their cars for your company to put wear and tear on them and do as you please. Especially when you are not paying for mileage. I'm sure if a lawsuit popped up your rebuttle would be in your favor. read more

I am a fan of the sales side of Hansen, but my recent experience with the service side is another story. Scheduled an appointment to do a warranty replacement of a battery for my 2011 Camaro. They gave no indication of time over the phone (they seemed less than willing to have anything more than a "what time, ok then" conversation) - and I should have asked, so I assumed maybe an hour to do it. Got there and after 20 minutes looked into the service area and the car still hadn't been moved. I walked out in time to see someone move it out of the way of another vehicle (ok, some activity, I will give it another 5 before I say anything). A few minutes later another mechanic came and moved it again (out of the way of another vehicle). Both times, the mechanic just jumped in with rags hanging out of their pockets - no protective covers on the seats or on the custom floor mats! Getting antsy now, I start to walk to the service desk when I see a mechanic come and pop the hood and get under there with a flashlight.... OK, it is activity, which is good, but the guy obviously doesn't work on many Camaros because the battery is in the trunk! Looking confused he puts the hood down and walks off. Finally, I approach the service desk and ask how long this is going to take (it has now been over a half hour since my scheduled appointment). He says it will take at LEAST 45 minutes (once they actually start) to run it through tests, etc. Tests?! It needs a new battery! What tests do you need to run? He gives some song-and-dance about GM restrictions with any kind of warranty work, etc. At that point, I just asked for my keys back and drove off. I can go to my local auto parts store and get a battery and have it installed in 15 minutes. My time is worth more than the rig-a-ma-role at Hansen service. Undoubtedly, they would have just ended up putting a charger on the battery and I would have had to come back and go through the whole thing again (multiple times) anyway! read more

Worst experience at a shop that I have ever had!!!!!! I brought my minivan In for an air conditioning repair, power door lock replacement and a window repair. After the shop had made the repairs, my son helped to drive the vehicle home. I drove it to work the next day and it was making a horrible noise (That noise wasn't there when I brought the car in) I drove the car home and parked it. The next day I inspected the car, only to find that the transmission fluid had been drained from my car. There wasn't any fluid leaking under the car. I was so confused. Why was the transmission fluid removed from my vehicle. None of the items that were scheduled for repair were connected to the transmission. I brought my car to a local store and had an employee verify that the transmission was drained. He recommended that I purchase transmission fluid and suggested that I put it in right away before the transmission is damaged further. I contacted a different shop to explain what happened and they gave me a quote on the cost of a diagnostic to asses the damages. I contacted Hansen's Service Center manager to explain what happened and request that the cover the expense. The service manager refused to cover any expenses and not only that, he didn't apologize for what happened. I wouldn't recommend this service center if you are considering servicing your vehicle. This is part of the feedback that I have gotten from the business since the day I posted this review: The video is here for you to come view from the moment you drove it on the lot to the moment you drove off. I had a different experience with this company than some of these others. My car had already been to three other dealers and since they had to GM certified due to warranty I had bad experiences. I actually had talked to other mechanics (5 star shops) and they told me what to suggest to them. All 3 previous dealers such as Coulter, Bradshaws, AutoNation ignored this and repaired other things that were symptoms. I did not tell Hansen's any of this as I was getting fed up as I had the car in the shop more than out for months. My daughter dropped off the car and told them it overheated and radiator had been changed and please check it. They called me to ask permission to do a block test. I authorized this block test. It failed miserably. Hansen called GM warranty to get permission to tear down the engine to repair it. GM warranty doesn't pay for tear down. So I then authorized that. An inspector was sent out and they refused to repair as they claimed the damage was my fault (It wasn't). Hansen asked me what to do so I authorized the rebuild as I had only managed to put a couple thousand miles on the car and needed it repaired. I paid for the rebuild and Hansen's didn't overcharge at all. So 5 stars to Hansen's and 0 stars to GM. (GM also sent bad parts on every previous repair so 50 % of their brand new parts were factory flawed so that should answer a couple questions on other yelp reviews. For another thing, the other dealerships ignored my input, but after Hansen's figuring it out, they actually listened to me. read more

I called AAA yesterday to tow our car with a flat tire. Braden came to pick us up and he was extremely helpful. He was there in the estimated time and went out of his way to fix our flat spare tire. He even called us later that evening to make sure that we got home safely. read more

This is a generally clean and honest Dealership, however, Bob on their sales staff is the epitome of used car salesman. He was condescending and rude to me in front of my family, completely unprofessional. They had the vehicle we wanted so we came back on his day off. It was a good experience then! My father has been a long time customer of Hansen's. He has a Chevy Colorado truck and took it in when the battery started to fail. $160. When we picked it up the driver side window and power locks did not work. We had them look at it and the guy said $600 for the power window AND the locks. "They'd done a system check so everything needs to be replaced." We took it home and I eventually got around to getting the switches for $106 on Amazon....that didn't fix the problem. I read on the ColoradoFan page that the BCM had to reset. I did everything that was suggested....nothing worked. I watched some videos on the a1 Auto page on testing the power to the switches and the window motor...got a circuit tester and checked the switches. They had power to the passenger side window. I finally opened the fuse box which I had checked before and thought they looked OK. I touched the DoorLock fuse and found that it was blown. When I replaced it...EVERYTHING WORKED!!!! So after some time...alot of checking and resetting the BCM and switches..all it was was a fuse for under $3. Beware Hansen's...I can't see how they didn't know what the problem was but why sell me a fuse when they can sell a $600 repair. read more
