Great customer service. Stayed with us until we found a place that had a tire to fix our blow out. Highly recommended.

***BEWARE*** Kenfield Automotive in Exira ***BEWARE*** Save your money, bring your business…read moreelsewhere. Kind of a long review, please read all. Called on a Wednesday, and got Nathan, trying to set appt. for car repair. Said busy that week, but the next week was open, I said pick your best day, he says Monday, I said ok, will leave the car Sunday night, he said ok. I called Monday afternoon to check the status of the car. I get "uh, DUDE, we got backed up from last week"? So my car is delayed another day? 1- DUDE? No "Sir"? 2- No courtesy call to make me aware of the delay so I can make other plans? Those 2 items above are STANDARD in Customer Service. The absolute MINIMUM service that should be provided. Anyways, I pick up the car, pay and on the road...I notice my Cruise doesn't work now. Was fine until they had it. I waited a day or 2 to see if it would kick in, but it didn't. Called, got Josh. Made apt to fix the car for free. Bring the car in.....Josh calls me and says "Dude, your car is done, seems there was 1 wheel spinning 10 miles an hour FASTER than the other 3, oh and by the way, your alternator is dead, I can fix that for $350 bucks"? What? Wait. When and where did the alternator die? Wasn't that wheel checked PRIOR to releasing the car to me? If I hadn't brought the car back for the Cruise, would the alternator have died? Just seems weird it would break down at a repair shop who could fix it, but only died AFTER a road test? Or did they jump it to take the road test? I'm not a car guy, so I was looking for clarity. So I said let me talk to wifey, I'll call you back. Called him back, said go ahead and fix the alternator. He says "we'll fix the tire and the cruise for free, but we're not going to fix the alternator, since you are unhappy with our work"? What? A CUSTOMER has a few inquiries, and you jump off the deep end? I tried to explain, but he said "we're just gonna pass on doing the alternator, and we're not going to service your vehicles anymore either"? What? Said he will push it out of the garage, and I can come and pick it up???? SO you're going to just leave me high and dry, with a dead car, that I now have to tow? and I have to find another repair shop to fix it? Unbelievable!! SO all of these delays, they are just OK, no problem with them? Don't they know people work? They do, but they don't CARE. 1- That shows they are impulsive, irrational, spiteful, and unprofessional. 2- That shows lack of empathy, sensitivity, and they are unable to handle criticism, or to answer CUSTOMERS questions about their work without some sort of DRAMA, and would leave a FORMER repeat customer high and dry at the drop of a hat. Who DOES that? Kenfield does. What if they are working on YOUR car, and they are having a bad day, will that have an affect on their work for YOUR car? You bet it will. It did mine. Save your money, and your time....choose another auto repair shop.
