I stopped by Nick of Time Automotive to get an estimate for some exhaust work, and my experience…read morewas extremely disappointing. When I asked if someone could take a look at my truck, I was told, "No, I'm not going to lay on wet pavement." I understood that the ground was wet, but the way it was said came across as rude and dismissive. When I politely asked him to repeat the estimate, he responded, "I just told you an around-about estimate," in a condescending tone. I explained that I was simply trying to do business and didn't appreciate the way I was being spoken to. His response was to tell me that I could leave. I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I can't say why I was treated that way, but the interaction left me questioning whether bias may have played a role. Regardless of the reason, no customer should be treated with that level of disrespect. I took my business elsewhere and would not recommend this shop based on my experience.

Their hourly rate for a mechanic is $178.00. Oh, and they forgot the valve stem covers. AVOID!!!

This establishment is traditionally a place that I previously loved! November 2017 I received worst…read moreservice ever and sadly 3 months later it hasn't been resolved... not even a call back from numerous calls and conversations. I had the absolute worst experience with this manager Brandon! I don't know where he came from but I can't wait till he goes back! I have been frequenting this business for over 10 years off and on but for 4 years loyal customer to this business! I have never been so disrespected, mistreated, and undermined! This guy is a tyrant and he's going to bring this business down! In life, you will never always agree with everything, but there's a way to do it! Being spoken to with respect, treated as a valued customer, and explained things sensibly... Tends to better assist with getting misunderstood points across. The manager and I got into the biggest dispute regarding a store coupon of theirs that he refused to honor. The same day of the coupon dispute, it was brought to light that one of their employees was neglectful in the care of my tires last visit. I always thought it was safe to assume that my car would always leave with the same amount of parts that it came in with, but that's not always true, nor will this place take responsibility for it! Initially, I thought corporate was the way to go but after speaking w 2 reps a total of 3 times in 3 months both promising a call and solution from management, my faith has slowly left. Oh and I forgot to mention, there's been two to three calls made I've made since the last conversation and no response! This place has traditionally been very good with buying and maintaining tires, as well as under the hood work. I previously trusted this Auto Repair business over the dealership that I purchased my actual car from. That speaks volumes. Although the dealerships are pretty expensive, you always assume you'll get great service if you purchase your car from there. Breaking up with this business has been pretty difficult to do due to the fact we take all of our vehicles here on a rotation. As I always say, customer service will get you each and every time! It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday!

The level of incompetence is astounding. The first time I got my car back, the oil cooler they…read morereplaced was leaking everywhere. The engine oil warning light came on. I made it clear in writing all of what needed to be done to the vehicle. I told the body shop (I was hit by a Geico underinsured motorist) that sent my car to this business that there's no rush and that I'm happy to pay whatever it takes to get the car right. I put in writing that the lug nuts needed to be torqued to spec. (101-103 ft. lbs.). Today I went to take 1 of the wheels they put on the car off. I used penetrating oil, tapped the hex socket (this is what you want to use, not a 12 point that will strip the lug corners) a breaker bar with a 3 ft. pipe extension (total of almost 5') and could not break the lugs free. And bent the breaker bar. I'm a 45 year old male with above average strength. Next I went to a neighbor's house, tapped the socket on to the lug nut and used a top of the line 1/2" Snap-on impact at 175 PSI. This produces somewhere between 1,200 and 1,600 ft. lbs. of nut-breaking torque. IT DIDN'T move a millimeter. There's about 4 people involved between this shop and the body shop and no one is capable of following manufacturer or customer instructions. Or verifying the shoddy work of others even after the "others" have done previous shoddy work. I have documentation of the instructions and receipts if anyone would like to see them before taking their car to this establishment. They've had multiple chances to do things correctly and have proven that they either are not capable, do not care or both. They have no more chances. Whatever manager/owner response that appears is a fools attempt to save face. I was a fool to allow my car to be serviced here. You are too if you read this and still go there. It's not worth risking your life. Do yourself a favor and choose another shop.
