Highly recommend. When my 17 year old Frigidaire washer died, Hans provided me with good advice to diagnose the problem myself to save costs. He ordered the necessary part and fixed quickly. This guy knows what he is doing, fixes it personally, friendly, and at a fair price. I would pick over a bigger company, that may have less experienced technicians. He also said he would come back if any issues. Piece of mind too. read more

I just talked to Hans and I have a potential repair on my oven/microwave combo unit. Over the phone I told Hans the situation - 15 year old Kitchenaid and the control panel wasn't working. He said the money you would have to pay to repair it isn't worth it and that an oven microwave combo is not a good idea because the microwave gives out well before the oven. In other words, he gave good advice that caused him to not have the job. That is honesty big time and I can promise you I will be calling Hans anytime any appliance breaks and I need to repair it. Not only did he quickly understand everything I was saying on an appliance he wasn't looking at, but he gave advice based on what was good for the customer. A+++ read more

In a flash, Hans diagnosed the problem with my oven and got it repaired with replacement parts right away. Hans' services were more than worth the expense considering what the cost of replacing a range is. Further, he even provided some terrific advice and explanation for problems I was having with my dishwasher. His solutions cleared it up right away instead of the dishwasher seemingly getting worse and worse -- something that likely could have cost me thousands of dollars to replace. I'd recommend Hans' expertise with appliance repair to anyone -- always honest advice and care. read more

I see all the fantastic 5 star reviews, I would have loved to give one but Hans couldn't be bothered to call me back,I guess he doesn't need the business? I am self employed, calling back potential customers is a big deal even if you are too booked to help, a call back is much appreciated. One week later and I still don't have a working refrigerator, apparently everyone is too busy to call back. read more

Hans is a great guy. He was professional and has years of experience and knowledge. He went the extra mile to get the job done, and then generously gave me his advice on what appliances to avoid in the future (ones that will fall apart within a year or 2.. cough cough LG), and answered my questions about the other appliance we have. I felt like his fees were very fair as well. read more

This guy is awesome! Broken stove top. Called him at his lunch. He was at my house 40 minutes later. Fixed stove top and then came back on the weekend and fixed our oven (which NO one was able to fix in the past) Nice guy too!!!! read more

Hans is professional, always on time, and very honest. I can only say good things. He offered great advice and helped diagnose the problem I was having with one of my appliances. If you need appliance repair I highly recommend Hans. read more

We have a liebherr fridge. If you haven't heard of that brand, you're not alone. No one and I mean NO ONE could fix that freaking fridge. Not even Liebherr - when I called their US service center, they could not recommend a single repair person in CA. Thank God for Hans! He went the distance for us and then some, dealing with a singularly unhelpful manufacturer with grace and grit. I will never let anyone else touch my appliances! read more

Hans is great. Very friendly, communicates what he's going to do, how it's going to happen and follows what he says. Our fridge had an issue with defrosting. He showed up when he said he would, found the problem quickly and explained why it was an issue. A new part was ordered and expected to arrive within a day or two. The part was on back order. This caused an extra trip to our home to defrost the fridge again. Hans did this without charging. This is definitely who I'm calling if I have another issue with an appliance. read more

Hans was very responsive. He could come to our home within 12 hours of calling him. He is so kind and efficient and affordable. We just moved to our new, but older home, and will be using Hans for all appliance repairs moving forward. We highly recommend him. read more

5 stars, not kidding. This guy is the real deal. Super knowledgable, communicative, and was incredibly informative. You really can't do better. Best of all, he's local and is committed to getting his parts local. Hans should be who everyone in Petaluma calls for help. You won't be disappointed! read more

Hans was great! He came out within 1 hour of my phone call. He took a look at my appliance and gave me some honest recommendations about what to do with our 14 year old oven! And didn't even charge for coming out since he couldn't help me! What honest old-fashioned service! Hard to find these days! I definitely recommend him as your new local repair man!! read more

I would highly recommend Hans and will be using him again in the future (hopefully I wont need to). He was on time and not only did he fix the problem with my dishwasher, he also leveled it without me asking him to do so. He gave good brand names for washing machines/dryers in different price ranges and was so friendly. Very knowledgeable!!! read more

Five stars all the way . Hans was fantastic! We purchased a refurbished washer and dryer set three years ago and the dryer stopped working and the washer spin cycle wouldn't go so we looked around for a good appliance repair in town and found Hans on yelp. We called him and were so glad we did! Not only did he have a reasonable upfront price but he listened to our problem and was able to tell us what he thought was happening.... something that the other appliance repair company's didn't or couldn't do. I really felt comfortable with him because he knew what he was doing . he took a look at our appliances and told us not to get them repaired because they were cheap to. begin with. He even said he felt bad even taking money for his time because there wasn't anything he could do except charge us upward of $200 fixing a washer and dryer that cost us $400 combined three years ago..I really appreciated his honesty. It's rare to find a business owner that honest and not just out to make a Buck. He was kind enough to clean them and gave us advice on how to keep them going for as long as we could then gave us recommendation for some quality appliances we will purchase when these give up. It's been about three months and his advice has kept them going since. Hans is worth every dime. Great guy! read more

I was so pleased with the service provided by Hans in fixing my dishwasher. He has many years of experience so he clearly knows what he is doing. Equally important to me is that he is kind and very reliable. He was on time, followed up with me between our two appointments and would return my calls within an hour! Who does all that?? I highly recommend Hans for any appliance service needs. And though he is based out of Petaluma, he travels to Marin which was lucky for me since I have a rare brand of dishwasher which almost no one knows how to fix. Thank you Hans! read more

Our refrigerator expired two days before Christmas. Hans was closed for the season. He said he'd nevertheless come over quickly to "try to save the frozen food". He installed a new part and that confirmed that the compressor was toast! He gave us a list of brands he liked and a couple of of "I would not get one of these" brands! his fee was more than reasonable for this emergency call. Basically we got top notch service for a reasonable price and all in a timely manner - can't get any better than that! read more

Hans repaired our over 10 year old Neptune Washer last week. He came exactly when he said that he would...twice! After the 1st visit, he fixed what he thought might be the problem, and it worked -- for 1 load. Since he guarantees his labor, I called him back, and had the washer spin while he was on the phone. After hearing the noise (which it didn't make when he was there the 1st time), he came later that same day and fixed the problem for good. I love that he told me on the phone before he came the 1st time that because it was an old washer, there were some problems not worth fixing. A reliable, honest, knowledgeable, and kind guy. Highly recommended. read more

I highly recommend Hans. He is very honest. He was explaining what he was doing as he was working. He also showed me what to do to maintain the range. He is extremely knowledgeable. He was very prompt. I will be contacting him again, if needed. read more

Very impressive knowledge!! I recently had reason to think my small 10 month old freezer had stopped running, so I contacted Hans Kurz and he came by. I was pretty sure it was a total loss, but Hans recognized that it had probably stopped running during an electricity spike, and that it needed about half an hour unplugged before it would turn on again. I had never heard of that, so had unplugged it and then plugged it back in immediately. He was very articulate about explaining the how and why. So I highly recommend him!! read more
