Gosh, I didn't know what I was missing. This is a true IYKYK! Once you have visited Horrocks, you will return for life. This is a magnificent, rustic, unique, expansive establishment that offers a cornucopia of items. From floral, to meats, cheeses, wine, speciality items, fruits, snacks, vegetables, hard-to-find items and more. There is so much more! Things that stood out even though I loved everything about this place: -the vast selection of canisters of olive oils -the vast array of different varieties of balsamic vinegars (amazing!) -house made items in every area -house made popcorn with so many flavors, so fresh. -the many, many homemade soups: probably around 20 different kinds and delicious. -a ramen bar, what? -bakery -pizzeria -exotic fruits and vegetables and regulars ones too -the wine bar: sip while you shop. -house-made sausages and cheeses -house-made jams, jellies, local honey -extensive variety of spices, herbs, flour and grains - great service, very helpful. This is a must try and truly a destination. I cannot wait to shop and browse here again!

The store is clean, tons of employees to help if you need it. Produce is not great but it is in Michigan....sooooooo.... Prices are hard to beat, and they have a surprising amount of gluten free options given that it is in Michigan. Management is a bit prickly there...but I think that must trickle down from corporate. People watching at this store should be a televised Olympic event. My goodness the things I see when I am there. I try to avoid it on the weekends due to the crowds. Shopping for groceries after 9 p.m. is the best kept secret in town. Place is a ghost town. Cashiers there might be prodded a bit to move faster then a cadaver....I try to use self check out lines when they are open. Cashiers often have the personality of a thimble of spittle....but that might just be from hating their job which does look like it would suck. Never tried the deli like Denise claims she did...but it is possible the deli is not where you would want to go for take out food. It is Wal-Mart people....trust me when I say the Jonesville store is WAYYYYYYYYYYY better then the Wal-Mart down the road in Coldwater. YIKES!!! That store...where do I begin?

Went to Battle Creek and did my shopping called at 5:30 and was told 40 more minutes before my vehicle would be done - get back here at 7:15 - my vehicle STILL has not even been pulled in to be started yet. To say never again would be the understatement of the year!!!! *update* 9pm and we're still sitting here waiting on our vehicle! I will NEVER step foot in this place again! *icing on the cake: they didn't reset my oil life and rubbed their greasy oily hands all over my key, shifter, steering wheel and drivers side door panel and that is how I got my vehicle back! Outstanding job Walmart!!! After speaking with management, I pretty much left with the impression that this is just how it is at Walmart - and no one really cares anyway, so I pretty much wasted my breath. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

They sell milled flour and primary ingredients for making your own stuff. I found it interesting how many different types of flour, spices, and primary ingredients like borax used for cleaning laundry and disinfecting were available for purchase by the pound. I was able to buy homemade black licorice for $3. Homemade canned strawberry rhubarb butter to spread on toast for $4-5. They also have a huge discount section and the kids loved stretching their $5 budget and got a bunch of Halloween and Christmas specific candy cheaply for no other reason than it being the wrong holiday. My husband bought some Amish sourdough bread, but was disappointed with the taste. Upon looking at the label I noted there were a lot of ingredients. Just something to note. Not all Amish foods are created equal and not all items are organic or without preservatives. Read your labels, make educated choices and admire a store of thrifty, honest, and hardworking folks.

I loved the aisles with products deeply discounted because they were nearing the expiration date. But you can definitely use most items well past those dates. The employees were very efficient.
