I prefer to shop for shoes online, but I sometimes like to stop in and see what shoes are in stock. When I entered this store, an employee kindly greeted me, and later as I was leaving, she thanked me. As I walked around, I focused mostly on the women's shoes, and I thought that the selection and quality of sneakers, dress shoes, boots, sandals, slippers, etcetera was OK. I saw name brands such as Nike, Vans, and Birkenstock. Of course, the selection was not as large as what you can find online, and the prices were not always as low. However, I think that this store is good for buying footwear that you need at the last-minute and cannot wait to have delivered.

Facing a soggy weekend for my immenent trip to Philadelphia I decided to get rain boots to prevent my sneakers from getting washed out. I got a nice saleslady who measured my feet and we tried on different pairs of boots. Rain boots can usually size up or down based on the cut so it's best to try things on. I finally decided upon a pair of Hunter rain boots and found that my shoe orthotic fits in it which will make it easier to walk. They carry a good selection of shoes from name brands as well as shoe accessories. The orthotics they gave me to try didn't work so I'm glad that my sneaker ones did. Most definitely will return in the future to obtain slippers and boots.

It's not even close to being my favorite mall in the Pittsburgh metro area, but it is nice. There are approximately 120 stores with a wide variety of men's and women's apparel, footwear, speciality, small local businesses, jewelry, home decor, etc. They have one of my favorite Dick's Sporting Goods. It's one of their three anchor stores, two story and loaded with stuff. Macys and JC Penney are their other two anchor stores. The food court has around 10 places to eat. It really isn't that great to be honest, but they do have a couple decent options. It's a shame they don't have a place for pizza. FYI: there are plenty of good places to eat and drink right outside of the mall in the parking lots and in the surrounding area of it There is always plenty of parking as I rarely ever see this mall packed unless it's around the holidays. They carry men's, women's, and kids shoes. They carry pretty much all the exclusive Alife shoes, Air Jordan's, Air Max's, Air Force Ones, Nike Boots and Timberland's among other shoes and boots. They also carry lots of men's and women's clothing with brands such as Akoo, Artful Dodger, Black Label, Brooklyn Mint, Coogi, LRG, Rocawear and True Religion. They always get lots of shoes in so if you get there early on release day you well most likely walk out happy. Once you get cool with the workers they will even put your size a side for you. I've been a customer at Larrimor's for years, and I'm disappointed in how the store handled a very…read moresimple issue. Their employees never asked for my birthday when setting up my profile, which meant I never received the birthday gift cards they advertise. When I contacted the store to correct it and asked for the past year's missed offer, the owner (Tom Michael) refused, even though the mistake was caused by their own staff. Instead of honoring the gift card I should have received, I was only offered a donation made "in my name" to a charity. While that may sound generous, it doesn't solve the original problem, and it left me feeling like the store wasn't willing to take responsibility for their own oversight. It was a very small request and could have been resolved easily with good customer service, but it wasn't. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend shopping here or trying to resolve any issues directly with the owner. There are plenty of other stores that value their customers and stand behind their promotions.

Me: "Different things..." S: "So are you here for meetings?"... And so on--the guy literally followed us closely as we made our way from one end of the store to another. He stopped when I was looking at something, at which point another salesperson came up and asked the same salvo of questions Guy number one came back and started up again "so are you staying nearby?..." We were literally chased out of the store by its salespeople. Here's a better script for them: "Salesperson: Hi, my name is X, welcome to Larrimor's" Me: "No thanks, just here to browse..." "Salesperson: sounds good, just let me know if I can help you find anything" Hounding customers and charging more than the designers themselves is not a great way to do business these days, but I'm keeping four stars out of respect for a longtime Pittsburgh institution.
