She inches baby into the perfect pose while being so gentle and calming which is not easy with a fussy baby. It was an incredible amount of work! Lisa was beyond pleasant to work with. Her personality was also very charming which helped a lot along the way, because we were both amateurs at posing. She brought her assistant for our photoshoot, Paul, who was also as charming. I received my engagement photos in the USB last week and as expected, the pictures were amazing. Our families love them too. It's totally worth it to spend a little bit extra money to get all the photos, especially when the work was excellent and the pictures turn out very beautiful. If our wedding was in town, Lisa West would definitely be our wedding photographer. I highly recommend Lisa for anyone who is looking for a photographer that is personable, professional and "super on-time" with her work. Although he seemed like a reliable person…read morewhen we met with him two months prior to our wedding and in our interactions with him leading up to the big day, he proved to be completely unreliable the day of. He was supposed to be at the venue at 11:00 am. When 11:15 rolled around and he still hadn't arrived, I called, texted, and e-mailed him, with no response. Around 11:30 he finally called back, saying that he had gotten sick and had to turn around to change clothes- not like he could've called to let me know why he wasn't there to document a day that only happens once in a lifetime. When he did finally get to the venue, he had left the itinerary and instructions I had e-mailed him, so I had to re-instruct him on everything. Fortunately I had friends and family who took pictures for me as well. As far as getting the pictures went, he sent them the latest day possible at 11:30 pm- I had sent him several e-mails prior to that date asking where the photos were. On the proofing gallery it was clear he'd forgotten or ignored the pictures- they weren't very well edited. We finally received our disc about two and a half months after our wedding. My advice: pay more money to a better photographer. You only get one shot at your wedding photos. Maybe James' work isn't always this shoddy, but other reviews do seem to show a common trend in his work. Good luck finding a great photographer for your wedding- just be sure to skip out on this one.
