An installation artist could get some inspiration from these guys! Anyhoo, the shoes? Ladies, mens and children's shoes to choose from; I have bought some gorgeous knee high boots from them and have browsed for smaller boots but yet to find some that fits the bill. The place is more expensive than Number One shoes, but cheaper than Hannah's. The quality seems quite good and it is a relief to see some higher quality items on this strip of $2 store craziness in Avondale. Go buy their shoes so we can support them to stay!

I took them back in as I felt the quality was not up to standard. The woman grabbed the sandal out of my hand and said you have worn them so they can't be replaced. I said I was well aware I had worn them but they should still be able to be worn after less than 2 months. I put the sandal on to show her but she said I know what happens you don't have to show me. There for wide feet and you would have been told that. I understand that they mentioned that they were a wider fitting sandal but if they knew they would stretch to that extent perhaps they should advised me to buy a smaller size. No response to that just repeated they have been worn and can't exchange. Now have a very new pair of sandals which I'am unable to wear. Very unsatisfactory service. I was spoken to in a rude offhand manner.

Mine developed cracks all over despite of infrequent use within such a short time and I went back and dropped all the 4 pairs at their shop last week requesting them to look into their quality. They agreed to replace only mine with another pair which was fine. However last night when I went to pick them up the behavior of the Store Manager cum Owner, NOLA was extremely offensive & rude. She very unwillingly extended help with my replacement shoes.I failed to understand her condescending attitude since the shoes were not given to me in charity but had been paid for. To make it worse she refused to give me an extra carry bag for the 4 shoes.I was made to feel humiliated and left very disillusioned with tears in my eyes because I have never experienced something like this before. I have just found a report on Fair Go on a similar customer complaint by Reporter Hannah Wallis of TVNZ I will in time get over this unpleasant experience because I am never going back to them but come to think of it for Nola, the Store Manager cum Business Owner it is ...... 1) Loss of replacement cost of the shoes 2) Loss of an extra plastic carry bag 3) Loss of 4 genuine customers. 4) And above all loss of CUSTOMER GOODWILL because we will never recommend them to any of our acquaintances. Stocking popular, fashionable and quality brands like Nude, Soles, Clarks, Chaos and Harmony and Paolo Vandini, Mischief caters to both men and women aged about 16 years onward. A little pricey is ol Mischief, but this an example of the whole 'what you get is what you pay for' scenario. Every pair of shoes in this store is made from excellent quality materials and is on trend with the latest European fashions. If you're in Newmarket and feel the need to treat yourself, take a peek in Mischief - it's well named - you never know what you'll be leaving the store with!

When i last wondered in here, my nephew (4) was really taken with some of the shoes! He would pick out the fanciest, shiniest, most sparkly high heel and bring it over to me and ask if I'd like to try it on. I was starting to worry about his love of shoes but thought he could obviously just appreciate quality as much as I can. I noticed down the back there are a few shoes on sale. This is a pretty important thing for me because most of the prices are well above my price range and so sale items are unfortunately my only option.

In fact, I still have them in my wardrobe somewhere. Since then I have bought numerous pairs of her shoes and I have always found them to be well made and comfortable without compromising on style. If they are good enough for Bey and Blue, they are good enough for me! Seriously though, Kathryn used to come into the restaurant I worked at and I served her several times and always found her to be incredibly lovely. I don't know how they do it (or why, actually, come to that matter) but this store sells shoes from brands such as Vans, Converse, Nike and Adidas at way, way cheaper prices than I've seen anywhere else in the city. We're talking around $80 for a really good pair of ladies Adidas running shoes (elsewhere, these tend to be over $100, often much more) and a huge range of colours of classic Vans plimsolls for around the same price. It's by no means a cool shop and I definitely wouldn't recommend coming here if you're looking for good quality leather shoes or anything cutting-edge fashiony but if you're looking for cheap runners or street shoes at much cheaper than the stores in the city centre, this is your place...just don't tell anyone else!

If you're a bargain hunter they have permanent sale tables set up in price range. The sale shoes aren't just the gross ones that no one wanted either, they are converse, vans and nike old season, as well as uncommon sizes that didn't sell. I think this place is run by a family as I have always been served by the same woman or one of her children, I like purchasing from here because I feel like I am helping out a local business rather than a huge brand.

The woman behind the counter has always presented herself with a big smile ready to assist the potential customer. The clothing range predominantly stock bold colours and large print designs. Casual or elegant evening wear to chose from. I am especially taken with her gorgeous bags, casual beach bag styles with lovely designs, mostly modern or ethnic prints - for $10!!! I hope those prices stay the same as I am keen to stock up on some for presents for the many female family members later in the year. The clothing appears to be better quality than anything else I have seen in Avondale retail shops and I hope the business is here to stay. They are situated across the road from the local library a few doors down on Rosebank Road.
