Seriously though, Kathryn used to come into the restaurant I worked at and I served her several times and always found her to be incredibly lovely. Euro Brands get seconds and overruns from a range of high street stores. Zara, Topshop, NEXT etc,…read moresizes are usually weighted at 36's and 40's, 41's but every now and then there will be mid-range shoes. Their influx's seem to be quite sporadic so i pop in every other week just for a look. Have bought Zara shoes from here before and the prices are pretty cheap - i'd say 50-70% off the normal retail price, and often the shoes are ahead of the states. Staff are ok, they'll only put out one of each shoe and keep the other sizes in plastic so at least they stay looking new even if they do have defects.

They greet you but they don't get in your face, they're hepful without being pushy. I've had good, honest advice here about selecting the right size and style. Eccentric, retro, psychedelic, you name it. Floral or paisley business shirts that make you stand out from the normal, quirky cuff links that make you wanna laugh, funky hats, imagery t shirts that you won't find on Queen Street. The men's footwear in this store also rocks the casbah! Holy cow! Its crazy cool! As any guy with confidence I'm sure you could pull off looking like Mr it in these glorious original pieces. The accessories are cool and retro, and the short sleeved men's shirts are amazingly original with unique imagery, my two favourites are the Island Life and the Tattoo short sleeved collared shirts. The prices are not cheap at Strangely Normal, they have since 1977 paved a name in men's fashion and put New Zealand on the map internationally so they deserve much praise and award which they funnily enough have received. Unlike other places, the hardware on Briarwood bags is some serious heavy metal, and it really lasts. They also sell gorgeous shoes and other accessories, like little purses. Little High Street used to be relatively unknown and was home to up and coming New Zealand designers, however over the years this has changed quite drastically and now largely consists of Asian clothing stores. Smoove is one of the exceptions, and actually takes up two of the stores on the Street. If you're in to rock, vintage and street-type clothing and accessories, definitely make sure you pop down to Little High Street and check out Smoove. Mezze Bar is also located on the Street by the Durham St entrance and is a great licensed cafe/bar that does fantastic iced coffees and has a great lunch menu.

I think the staff are very attentive and helpful. When I was last there, one girl went upstairs to see if they had a top in my size, and this was no trouble. Glassons is often my go to for new hosairy (and even socks recently), and when I was in their there the other day there was even some homewares to make your room look that bit more awesome. I think you're sure to find something you'll like in Glassons. Give them a go if you haven't visited in awhile. You might be surprised.
