I had the egg drop soup first as usual it was just ok nothing special then I had the Chinese warbar it was super fresh but lacked a little in flavor. Sesame chicken was good but the service was incredible I hadn't even picked out a table and my soup and crackers were ready then I could hear the cook making my food. before I could finish my soup it was done and set in front of me. It wasn't a bad price for the meal received. It had a kinda sports bar vibe which was kinda nice I would definitely try again. I would give it 6.8 out of 10 read more

Our food was lukewarm at best and we were the only ones in the place. Egg drop soup was a weird color and gummy. Fried rice was just white rice with coloring added..no veggies or egg like it should have. Raw carrots and peppers, cold, in sweet & sour chicken. Staff didn't appear to be overly concerned...I'm guessing they get a lot of complaints. Never coming back. read more

Best Chinese food around. I have been to the oldest Chinatown in the USA (San Francisco) and NYC's China town.. Very very delicious American Chinese.. Fast, friendly service, hot food, needed more spices. Mongolian beef need more beef and thicker gravy very runny. Rice was to hard.

So I was incredibly surprised to see the SMALL town of Harrison had Asian cuisine when I moved here in 2001, but here it's been! Starting off in a mobile trailer they built the business to their own brick and mortar restaurant about a decade or so back. But in this restaurant dessert of Sysco pre fab American bar food, Hang's has always been a star, like its Italian counterpart Monte's. The food is sometimes hit or miss and that's the reason for average of three stars, and their pricing has gone a bit high, but during lunch or rush day dinners, it's a nice refuge from burgers or pizza (there are literally FOUR pizzerias in a one mile strip!). The family that owns it has put their heart and soul into the food (the family are Hmong refugees) and their hard work has taken them far. Know their spicy level is low (I always ask for chili sauce on the side even with Szechuan dishes) and the default is "fried rice" (one of my bigger complaints is that it's just soy and rice) but the staple dishes you find in any Chinese-American cuisine - subgum, General Tso, sweet & sour, chopsuey, almond chicken - are all done very well. Their hours can be a bit frustrating (closed on Sundays!!!!) but the locals and "flatlanders" (what we call the tourists from downstate) are blessed to have this option in our rural region. PS: they do have a weekday lunch buffet that is my go to choice during the week! read more

I hit Hangs with a hunting buddy. I ordered beef with broccoli and he had sweet and sour chicken. We also got fried dumplings. The waitress advised we could get free soup. We went to the soup bar and there were two types of soup. One was egg drop which looked like thick yellow pudding in a large metal container and the other was unknown but mostly liquid. We passed on the soup. The dumplings came and seemed hand made. They were ok nothing special and the dipping sauce appeared to be soy with some green onion stalks. Our meals arrived and were a small portion. The rice came in a bowl and was dried out. My beef with broccoli was not very good and even with a small portion I did not finish it. Same with my buddies chicken. I would avoid this place. The bill was around $29.00. read more

Geocaching in the area and realized rather late that it was getting late and we hadn't eaten dinner. Found Hang's on Yelp, dashed over there and walked in at 9:47; 13 minutes before closing. (I know, some nerve...) I asked if it was possible to still get some carry-out, and the employees were not only accommodating they were very pleasant. We ordered Almond Chicken and Shrimp LoMein and both were good. Very large portions, too. The egg rolls were....meh. But otherwise, we were pleased with the meals and very grateful for the service. read more

This was the worst!! Was excited to get orange chicken! What I got was sweet sour chicken with a very thin orange slice on top. The buffet... Sucks!! This is a great little place tucked in between a gas station and a car sale lot. It sits back from the road so it's easy to miss. The egg rolls are not to be missed. Hand made everyday fresh. The orange chicken was light and fresh. These sauces are made from scratch. Looking forward to heading back and trying more dishes. The wok tosses look especially delicious. The fried rice is not your typical rice, peas, carrot and egg. It's literally rice that has been fried. Also they have sizzling rice soup which is pretty much the best soup ever. Do yourself a favor and stop in and give this place a try. You won't be sorry. read more

Didn't have high hopes for good Chinese in Harrison but my daughter wanted to try. We ordered sesame chicken, which was nothing like what I'm used to - small portion, didn't appear to be breaded & didn't include broccoli like every other restaurant I've been to. They have changed so much. Raised prices and cheap changes to the recipes. I'm a local and the other day ordered ABC Chicken and it was awful!! Small square pieces of tough chicken covered in TONS of breading that we had to scrap off. We were pleasantly surprised! The shrimp chop suey and General tso was very good. The portions are fair, we are used to larger portions in the city but still took half of mine home. Nasty and rude. Dry food, small portions, expensive. I would highly recommend you STAY AWAY from this place!
