We went to architecture school over 40 years ago. It amazing that we still see each other every few years. We ordered dinner and drinks & caught up with each other & made plans for the next few days. Bangus sisig (Effin awesome) I think this must be the Filipino national fish. I ate Bangus probably about 6-8x's for breakfast lunch & dinner. Lechon - Suckling Pig w/onion, garlic Cangkong w/garlic fresh from the sea Beef marrow bone soup rich delicious soup It's always fun seeing these guys & their wives. The only unfortunate part is our 4th buddy couldn't make the reunion, still it was a great time in a nice restaurant open to the beach and ocean. We had a guitarist playing & singing a very nice collection of very relaxing music According to my buddy Boracay Beach was rated the no 1 Beach in Asia. Nacpan Beach is also rated in the top 10 (I went here 2 years ago). Nacpan is also a gorgeous beach, but wo/the amenities of restaurants, bars, stores....

We were treated and seated right away. Love the hospitality!! Time to order. We got our drinks. Calamansi and mango shakes/smoothies. AMAZING!! Perfection I tell you!! So refreshing. Then comes our food, pancit palabok, crispy pata, sisig, and lumpia Shanghai. My husband got grilled tuna also. I love that almost everything is served with Calamansi on the side for that fresh squeeze of citrus. When we return to Boracay, we are going to return to Gerry's. Lots of delicious food for a very reasonable price. You can't beat that. Made our vacation much more enjoyable knowing we found this treasure.

This This time the visit mostly satisfied my cravings. The star for me was the grilled bangus with onion-egg-white salad, which paired perfectly with the garlic fried rice. Drinks like the calamansi juice and sago gulaman were pleasantly nostalgic -- a bit sweet for my taste but easily fixed with extra ice. The crispy pata was flavorful though not as crackling as I hoped, and the kare-kare leaned too creamy and missed that nutty peanut punch. Service was excellent, which made the meal enjoyable despite higher prices compared with years past. One downside: takeout options are limited unless you pay extra for microwave-safe containers -- otherwise your food comes in paper bags, which isn't ideal. Overall, a satisfying trip down memory lane with a few minor misses; I'd come back for the bangus and friendly service.

*** 9/5/22 update For the two weeks we have been in Boracay,…read morewe have been here 15+ times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! Love the food, the people, and vibe! First review: This is one of our favorite places to go on Boracay, if you're in the Bulabog Beach area. It's super chill and relaxing right on the beach. We've been here 3 times already in the past 2 days, so that says something. There are a variety of seating options, at the bar, low top, high top, and even right off the side walk if you want to people watch. The food is good and for a reasonable price. Staff are very warm and welcoming, even getting tips on scuba diving. We went there for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I had the Filipina Cornsilog for breakfast - corned beef, two sunny side eggs, and garlic rice. Not my usual breakfast, but it was good and it came with a side fruit and pressed coffee (tea or juice options as well). I was looking forward to the Tapsilog, but they ran out. My bf had the frittata and he thoroughly enjoyed it. As for lunch, I had ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and a grilled chicken sandwich for the man. One point with the shrimp and it was finger lick'n good! It came with seven shrimp and it was enough as an appetizer. The sandwich was devour in record time! He loved it and already said he's going to get it again tomorrow. And for dinner, I had the pork liempo (pork belly) soy-infused served with rice. My bf enjoyed a grilled vegetable sandwich just as much as the grilled chicken. We'll be coming back for sure!

Cute tiki themed decor and super friendly staff! Great drinks (try the calamansi caipirinha). Kenneth was our waiter twice and he gave us some great restaurant recommendations for breakfast. This is a definite must try if you're staying at the Ventosso residences. I will definitely be back!
