The wife of the owner is rude and will tell you they don't need your business...good, cause they won't be getting any more of ours. The business fought really hard to keep the Dollar General out of the Sheltontown area because they did not want any competition as they were more concerned with lining their pockets versus people in the area getting what they need at lower prices. Avoid this place and shop elsewhere. That's my advice to you.

I've been here a few times now. I went in looking for something that was out of stock at a chain farm store and found the same product (made in USA) at the same price. Surprised but happy. The chicken feed is comparable in price to some of the typical farm stores in town, but expensive compared to the price of the local livestock places. The convenience factor is higher though. A typical general store is like hoarder paradise: packed with crap, narrow aisles, but Moore's has the right balance. It's country and convenient without being overstuffed with useless, overpriced crap. In other words, they're catering to locals, not tourists, which is great.

I bought a gallon bucket of their strawberries and they are hands down THE BEST strawberries I have ever had. So sweet and juicy!! Staff informed me they sell all kinds of produce as it comes in season and raved on their melons and blackberries. I've been telling people to go up and take their kids because they have so many fun activities for the entire family along with selling cooked food items. The gallon bucket of strawberries were under $20 and for that price they are a good deal. I've been to some other berry farms in my area and they are charging more for berries half as good. This is THE place for family "fall" activities! We picked a pumpkin from the patch, we picked fresh apples, we did the slides and swings and saw animals. We did the corn maze. We rode a "train" pulled by a tractor, played in the dirt, on the various playgrounds, played in a little barn... the list goes on. This place is a child's dream for a day of NC fall fun - and we all had a blast! Going forward, this will be a yearly fall destination!

They have a lot of seasonal decorations (always very inexpensive) and a lot of little home decor/gift ideas like glasses or blocks with cute sayings, cute pictures frames, etc. It's not a huge selection but good. A lot of their stuff has kind of a rustic, country, cabin-y kind of flair. They also have metal garden art that I think is probably made locally. Hard to describe, the best I can do is to say that they are artistic renderings of small creatures made out of metal rods.

From the moment we arrived, we could tell it's a place that is truly loved and cared for. The owners walked over to greet us, showing us the short-haired sheep, goats, donkeys, runner ducks, turkeys, and three beautiful Great Pyrenees dogs--all of whom seem well loved and completely at home. The owner shared that he's been here since 1992 (a former city kid who always dreamed of having a farm like his grandparents did), and that lifelong dream truly shows in every detail. When he invited us into the store, it felt like discovering a treasure chest. It's small, but packed with thoughtfully curated goodies: handmade soaps from multiple local makers, a variety of local honeys, fresh goat cheese produced on the farm, Amish butter from Ohio, Amish jams, goat-la-to (a goat-milk gelato that's unique to this farm), a variety of meats, candles made by local Boy Scouts, Christmas ornaments, and books and toys for children. What really stood out was how deeply the owner knows and loves everything he sells. He happily shared stories, explained the different textures of the cheeses, and talked through how he would cook each type of meat. We picked up some cheese, lamb, and goat-la-to--which we ended up finishing on the drive because it was so unique and delicious, like shaved ice topped with creamy milk and vanilla. We cannot recommend visiting this farm enough--not only for the fairly priced, high-quality products, but also for its strong commitment to supporting other local businesses (all the products are clearly marked with their sources) and, most of all, the genuine passion behind it. So much of the space is thoughtfully designed with children and families in mind. When we noticed the turkeys, the owner explained that they aren't "commercial"; they keep a few simply because kids enjoy seeing them, along with the runner ducks. The baby goats are brought out occasionally so visitors can pet them, and it's obvious how gently and thoughtfully the animals are treated--the goats clearly loved being petted and even ran over to us. This little farm is the what I think of when I see someone pours heart and lifelong passion into their work. Highly recommend anyone with an interest in farm animals, dairy products, or local goods to stop by and see it!!

Great idea....theater with a general store coffee shop. You can enjoy a latte while watching a…read moreplay. That part I liked. The play had pretty good actors actually! I was impressed. Saw a murder mystery. But...I'm getting tired of watching "vote for your killer" type of plays and am done with it. Just no challenge there. But I'll keep my eye out for different other plays performed here in the future.

Danbury is a really small place, but we thought they pulled off this play quite nicely and I like community theater and always have liked it I would have preferred a murder mystery that the audience doesn't solve, but the killer is revealed. Good interaction with the cast and they were all very fun to talk to as well. The coffee from Rocky's was very good and the facility was nice for and comfortable. I would go there again if they have a play that is interesting to me.

I'm not a huge wine fan so I got the sweet wine flight. I found two that I really liked! The red with blueberries and raspberries, and the white with peach! I even got a glass of the peach one. After enjoying our wine we went on a little walk to see the llamas. There were also mini horses and a donkey. Lots of chickens too. There was a food truck but I ended up getting some snacks from in the bar area instead. Next time I'll bring a charcuterie board because that would have been so perfect!
