They recently received vegetables and herbs along with a good selection of outdoor plants. They have a wonderful variety of peppers, several varieties of cabbage and beets. I picked up dill, basil, thyme, leeks, cabbage, and marigolds this trip. They also had wonderful looking lettuce, strawberries (June bearing), eggplant, broccoli, and tomatoes. It's cheaper to purchase an entire flat than individual trays but you can mix and match. I paid $20 for the flat which holds 48 plants. Inside the store you find a great selection of produce. I always buy country ham here. During the summer months I've purchased eggs from local farmers as fresh strawberries and other items. Their prices for bagged compost and garden soil is competitive with big box stores so I must prefer to support a local business. The mulch I purchased here last fall was priced lower than big box stores. I highly recommend Dobson Produce.

Interestingly enough there are private residences mixed in as well. OK, so maybe it's really not incredibly riveting but it's still kinda interesting to see how early American life played out for Moravian, Black, and Indigenous peoples that lived in the South. A few of the buildings had docents in period dress relating the history of the particular house (some of these require separate admission tickets) or demonstrating their trades. For instance, we passed by a gunsmith's shop with a working craftsman inside, but it cost to go in. The whole area includes the Historic Town of Salem, the Gardens at Old Salem, the Frank L. Horton Museum Center, and the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA) and is a few blocks from Winston-Salem's main downtown area, so probably best to park at the lot of the Museum/Gallery/visitor center and walk across the very cool Old Salem Covered Bridge to the village. We didn't have time to see all the grounds - which by the way, also have the site of the Original Site of Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop, which we did see, and were hugely disappointed by. It ain't nothing but an empty lot. But if you like old stuff like I do, you'll dig Old Salem even if you just go for half an hour. Plus it's mostly free.

Danbury is a really small place, but we thought they pulled off this play quite nicely and I like community theater and always have liked it I would have preferred a murder mystery that the audience doesn't solve, but the killer is revealed. Good interaction with the cast and they were all very fun to talk to as well. The coffee from Rocky's was very good and the facility was nice for and comfortable. I would go there again if they have a play that is interesting to me.

The place was pretty packed as today was opening day. Parking is all the way down right by the church just follow the signs. I will say I got lucky with mine and there's a couple parking spots before you really start getting towards the church. Under the tent area is where you can find the entrees, and in the gymnasium area it's the lunch specials and Greek pastries and some dessert options too.

The market had so many gorgeous products and fantastic foods, including a buffet of flavored olives oils. I am deaf and the speaker volume was too intense even for me, but I'm sure they were trying to compensate for crowd noise. It was a miserable hit and humid day but the cold Greek beers and baklava ice cream kept us going to enjoy the festivities.
