I bought a gallon bucket of their strawberries and they are hands down THE BEST strawberries I have ever had. So sweet and juicy!! Staff informed me they sell all kinds of produce as it comes in season and raved on their melons and blackberries. I've been telling people to go up and take their kids because they have so many fun activities for the entire family along with selling cooked food items. The gallon bucket of strawberries were under $20 and for that price they are a good deal. I've been to some other berry farms in my area and they are charging more for berries half as good. I can't wait to go back

This is THE place for family "fall" activities! We picked a pumpkin from the patch, we picked fresh apples, we did the slides and swings and saw animals. We did the corn maze. We rode a "train" pulled by a tractor, played in the dirt, on the various playgrounds, played in a little barn... the list goes on. This place is a child's dream for a day of NC fall fun - and we all had a blast! Going forward, this will be a yearly fall destination!

There's lots of activities, photo opps and pumpkins to peruse. But in comparison to another spot we've been to we felt like there were some options missing for us personally. This isn't a knock to Hodges, just a personal preference. Now, if you have family in town and kiddos in tow this place is PERFECT! I would definitely recommend it for a fun fall time. Parking was easy, even on a super busy Saturday. There's plenty of signage so you know what's going on in all areas. The animals were pretty cool inside the barn too.

Still lots of photo opps all around the farm. We were able to do participate in some new things since it was the weekend; like their Hayrides/Tractor Ride. The line was never not long but it was something to do. The ride itself is about 15 minutes and takes you around the farm. We grabbed some popcorn before getting on it though. It's freshly popped and so delicious! We also go to visit the petting area and feed some of the goats, sheep, cows and rabbits. Our toddlers had a blast! Good family fun for the fall season. && I got a funnel cake before we left (topping choices powder sugar, Carmel, chocolate, and strawberry syrup). The wind made it colder on the pumpkin side of the farm and unfortunately they didn't have warm apple cider. I expected them to have something warm that kids could drink (non coffee). Tips: Bring a blanket for inside the wagon. Don't wear your nice shoes. Bring a tripod or stand for photos.

I prefer the white pumpkins. What about you?  The apples are DELICIOUS! We like the Magnum Bonum. The owners say it's great for baking. We like the taste. The Honey Crisp apples are huge!  They have pumpkin butter, candy, and peanuts.  FOOD TRUCKS: They have food trucks on the property which makes for a great day trip to Winston-Salem!   Here are two that we recommend:    Papa Bears Coffee-n-Donuts, the owner makes his own pumpkin icing to go over his donuts! They are on Facebook.  Graffiti Grub had her grand opening today at Hawks! She has iced hot chocolate! Coffee and treats. She will be selling candied apples and the apples come from Hawks. She doesn't have social media yet, but I hope you will stop by and support local.   I saw an Ice Cream truck setting up but didn't get the name.  Other unique features: Grab a red wagon and fill it up with pumpkins and apples, or take your kids for a ride around the patch.   Lots of photo props and opportunities, but if you're a professional photographer please check in with the owners.  Fun for the whole family!!

We've come here for years and love it. This year, they've made some changes to the flow and it seems improved. The usual things are there such as the wagon rides and the large fields of trees to choose from. The trees are tagged with colored ribbons which indicate the size and price. You pick a tree, wave someone down, and they will cut and bail it for you. Alternatively, you can also cut your own. They have a large barn area that grows a bit every year. You can get a cup of hot chocolate, hot apple cider, or a cookie for free. You also get a free small wreath with every tree, and there is a nice selection of larger wreaths and garland for purchase. After paying, you get back in your car and line up for pickup. Present your tag, and they quickly load the tree on top of your vehicle and tie it down for you. This area is rearranged and improved in efficiency compared to last year. It was quick and easy despite a busy day (Saturday after Thanksgiving) and long line. Prices go up year over year, which is unfortunate consequence of inflation. I'm glad they accept card payments and not just cash. But for the service, the quality of the trees, and the size of the farm, I don't mind the price. They are easily my favorite tree farm and are a family tradition!

You drive down a gravel road to get to the parking area and the barn which kinda serves as a home base for your experience. The parking area is themed with signs for streets named after reindeer which is a nice touch. You walk up the hill to Santa who greets you and then gets you on a hay ride out to the field. You ride out and are greeted by an employee who gives you the information on how to view prices, where to look for trees, and how to get an employees help once you have your perfect tree. They are available with chainsaws or you are welcome to use a handsaw to cut the tree yourself! The field had a great variety of trees all well maintained and in various sizes both in height and width. Once you have your tree cut they shake and bale your tree while you take the hayride back to the barn. At the barn you are greeted with fresh wreaths, garland, and mailbox decorations (don't forget to pick up your free small wreath that comes with every tree!) They also have restrooms and free refreshments (hot cocoa, hot apple cider, and cookies!). You enter a small checkout area where you can pay for your tree and pick up some minor tree essentials (lights, stands, or funnels). After paying, you drive your car to the side of the barn and give them your tag and they load your tree up for you and you are on your way! Overall everyone is friendly and the little touches such as the free refreshments and the free wreath make this my go to stop for a tree every year!
