I'm sorry - I just thought for the amount of time it took to get there and at 20$ per person it would be more informative.

It is a little confusing when you get there because the first tent is to sign a waiver, and then you go to another place to pay for the attractions. The farm is free to enter and has a few free activities like photo ops and play items for the kids like slides and a sandbox. We got the tick for all three paid activities. The corn maze was great. It was challenging but not too hard. My son loved the apple cannon. The wagon ride is fun but be prepared to wait since it is a small wagon and very popular. They have food trucks if you want to stay and eat lunch. Pumpkin prices were reasonable and you could even pick one from the field.

He was willing to answer questions and gave us a really informative tour. I learned alpacas originate from south America, they almost went extinct and they're related to camels! I also didn't know that they don't have top teeth! The tour was thorough and to the point, we got to feed and interact with the alpaca. You can tell they are well taken care of, because they were willing to socialize with us. Of course they were food motivated, but they also tolerated us after the food was gone! The alpaca are so soft... Alpacas are one of my favorite animals and I'm so happy we were able to interact with them. My son was able to feed them as well and he really enjoyed the experience. We'll be back in the spring to see the new babies! Awesome experience!! Don't forget to stop by their gift shop!

They were an open book to the working of the farm and the thoroughbred business. It was well worth the time and money. In fact, it was a great value. The plus is Woodford Reserve Distillery is about a 3 minute drive from the farm, so we popped over there after. Great location and incredibly beautiful.

Learned all about the breeding / foaling process, were able to take close up photos and even were able to pet the foals and mares. It is just next door to Woodford Distillery so combine the two for an unforgettable afternoon but reservations are a must at both properties. We arrived about 1:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. The parking area had a dozen or so cars. We proceeded to the covered barn and were immediately greeted by the family. The young man was friendly and efficient, we also learned that veterans receive free admission which was a welcome surprise, very nice touch! We also learned they have swag including shirts, baseball hats, stickers and decals. They were selling Colts signature honey and Carolina Gold oils made from sunflowers. They were down to their last bottle of garlic oil so they set it aside for us. We grabbed a bucket which was already equipped with cutters for us to cut our own sunflowers. The back field was where we were headed and the casual stroll back was enjoyable. There are beautiful flowering bushes and flower fields along the way and I was able to capture several cool pics with butterflies as well. The sunflower field was beautiful and we immediately began taking pictures. We commented that we should have brought the drone to capture the farm. We ended up cutting eight sunflowers to take home and arrange. Once up at the covered barn area they wrapped the sunflowers up and we selected our various swag items. Very cool local family business. When we went to get our poppies, we were given 1 bucket and 1 pair of scissors (why wouldn't we get two since we paid for two?). Then, when we wen to pay for our poppies, they simply wrapped them in a paper and rubberband. I asked, "Could you put a wet papertowel on those?" The lady was curt and said, "They'll be fine til you get home." Well, they weren't fine. They were wilted and looked sick. I enjoy supporting my local community, however, these people couldn't care any less about you or your poppies.
