    Row of tulips
    T E.

There was not a diverse crowd, and that bothers me personally. The tulips were easy to pick. Wear clothes and shoes you are willing to get dirty. The dirty is clay. The staff were helpful in explaining the rules and pricing.

The farm was spacious and magnificent, a sea of tulips, beautiful photos, the children saw a donkey, a cow, goats, and many other interesting places.

Eddie Z here again.my wife and I have been coming here for a few years now and have finally found someone(Amy) who told my wife how to pick a cantaloupe and how long to keep it (outdoors)for a few days to further ripen. This was great info!!the cantaloupe was juicy and sweet as was the delicious corn and blackberries.my wife asked about fresh flowers and Amy went out back and cut some for her.don't forget about the delicious tomatoes and cucumbers too. This farm is owned and operated by a hard working family who wants you to be happy with your purchase and become a repeat customer like my wife andi

    Pick Your Own Flowers

A friend of mine loved the flowers at a local farmers market and they told her that they got them from a local farm and that they allowed you to come and pick your own. So, we decided to come up one day and pick them. Unfortunately, the day we came was overly hot. We thought we were safe at 11 am and the forecast was stating it would be around 85 degrees but it was still very sticky. That is on us so I recommend going very early or in cooler weather earlier in the season. We were able to get a lot of beautiful flowers, including a lot of gorgeous sunflowers. You MUST make an appointment. It's $2 per person to pick and $25 to fil up an entire bucket. Plan to be there for 30-45 minutes walking the rows and bring water if you're going during a hot day. That's where we messed up and we overheated. I got about 60-70% of my bucket filled before I decided I had enough of the sun but even so, I have one massive vase and one average vase full of flowers for $25. I would spend much more in a store of a farmers market. Another tip is that once you go down the dirt road, take the right! We had NO clue where we were going and had to call. They had a produce stand. The photos online had a large selection but I know in August that a lot of items are not in season. I had hoped to grab some items but they didn't have much of what I wanted. We hope to go back in the fall before they close the flowers for the season and even experience their pumpkin patch. OH and to get some tulips when in season next April.

They have an amazing variety of pumpkins to choose from and delicious treats to enjoy while you're there. It's such a warm, family-friendly atmosphere and definitely a staple spot in Winston-Salem to visit with friends and loved ones during the season.

I prefer the white pumpkins. What about you?  The apples are DELICIOUS! We like the Magnum Bonum. The owners say it's great for baking. We like the taste. The Honey Crisp apples are huge!  They have pumpkin butter, candy, and peanuts.  FOOD TRUCKS: They have food trucks on the property which makes for a great day trip to Winston-Salem!   Here are two that we recommend:    Papa Bears Coffee-n-Donuts, the owner makes his own pumpkin icing to go over his donuts! They are on Facebook.  Graffiti Grub had her grand opening today at Hawks! She has iced hot chocolate! Coffee and treats. She will be selling candied apples and the apples come from Hawks. She doesn't have social media yet, but I hope you will stop by and support local.   I saw an Ice Cream truck setting up but didn't get the name.  Other unique features: Grab a red wagon and fill it up with pumpkins and apples, or take your kids for a ride around the patch.   Lots of photo props and opportunities, but if you're a professional photographer please check in with the owners.  Fun for the whole family!!

I bought a gallon bucket of their strawberries and they are hands down THE BEST strawberries I have ever had. So sweet and juicy!! Staff informed me they sell all kinds of produce as it comes in season and raved on their melons and blackberries. I've been telling people to go up and take their kids because they have so many fun activities for the entire family along with selling cooked food items. The gallon bucket of strawberries were under $20 and for that price they are a good deal. I've been to some other berry farms in my area and they are charging more for berries half as good. I can't wait to go back

This is THE place for family "fall" activities! We picked a pumpkin from the patch, we picked fresh apples, we did the slides and swings and saw animals. We did the corn maze. We rode a "train" pulled by a tractor, played in the dirt, on the various playgrounds, played in a little barn... the list goes on. This place is a child's dream for a day of NC fall fun - and we all had a blast! Going forward, this will be a yearly fall destination!
