I have stopped in a few times now and always found what I was needing. Always has fresh local eggs at a fair price. Which is one of the items I usually stop in for, and I always manage to find a few other things. Last trip in, right before the holidays they had local craft made items as well as their normal fare. Picked up some fried fruit and nuts along with some breakfast bread and my usual eggs. 4 Stars a solid little local market worth your support 01195

This country store has a little bit of everything you might be looking for from fresh produce, cheeses, meats, ice cream, preserves of various veggies, jams and much more. Alot to browse through. They have a variety of merchandise suitable for home, gifts and more. I took my time looking through what was in the fridge cases, had a home made ice cream from a local farm that produces the various ice creams, glanced through the vegetables, preserves, herbal remedies, plants etc. It is a small store but it has alot of items stocked inside. It reminded me of the old time stores where people were friendly and helpful and happy to explain about anything you might see without the high pressure sales pitch that no one wants to hear lol. I think you will enjoy browsing through this store and picking up some grocery items you needed or merchandise you didn't know you needed. Easy to get to and fun to explore.

The flowers are beautiful, like most farmer's market they are the wild flowers. Unfortunately, wild flowers don't really hold up super well once you get home. I did think it was neat this year that they did the $20 challenge where Nikki Miller-Ka cooks a meal for four, for $20 with all ingredients that were purchased at the Farmer's Market. I do really like Grace Meadow Farm, that is usually at this market that sells chorizo and ground beef. It is some good stuff! The butter at Mill River Farm is also awesome. The parking lot is pretty tight and can be a bit of a pain getting in and finding a spot on Saturday morning.

Well, I think the farmers deserve to raise their prices because they're ridiculously low as it is. I've only been in Winston Salem for a year, but this Farmer's Market can even beat Costco on price and quality. Come early for the best selection of everything from green onions to heirloom tomatoes, to organic peppers. Bring flowers home to your wife/girlfriend, and buy a rug from the nice veteran on the eastern wall. There are salsa (the food, not the dance) competitions, local honey farmers, and a good amount of (free) parking. The best part about this place is how kind the farmers are. They'll always give you more than you pay for, and are generous on their samples.

I prefer the white pumpkins. What about you?  The apples are DELICIOUS! We like the Magnum Bonum. The owners say it's great for baking. We like the taste. The Honey Crisp apples are huge!  They have pumpkin butter, candy, and peanuts.  FOOD TRUCKS: They have food trucks on the property which makes for a great day trip to Winston-Salem!   Here are two that we recommend:    Papa Bears Coffee-n-Donuts, the owner makes his own pumpkin icing to go over his donuts! They are on Facebook.  Graffiti Grub had her grand opening today at Hawks! She has iced hot chocolate! Coffee and treats. She will be selling candied apples and the apples come from Hawks. She doesn't have social media yet, but I hope you will stop by and support local.   I saw an Ice Cream truck setting up but didn't get the name.  Other unique features: Grab a red wagon and fill it up with pumpkins and apples, or take your kids for a ride around the patch.   Lots of photo props and opportunities, but if you're a professional photographer please check in with the owners.  Fun for the whole family!!

And if you need help, their workers are so polite, and happy to help you! We stopped in needing to buy some specialty ingredient my wife was looking for to bake some treats and ended up leaving with $50 worth of goods. They offer every you can find in a traditional store, just on a smaller scale, with less brand selection. They even have a beer and wine section, an amazing floral section, and great pricing on fresh meats. The store was packed when we stopped in, but easy to many Sur and even when we got to the front, there were lines at all the registers, but they moved smoothly and quickly, I don't think we waited more than 2 or 3 minutes before we were checking out. I don't get to them often, but Trader Joe's always amaze me! Though we have on in north Greensboro, I do wish we had one closer to the High point area. Crowded, parking is insane, people shopping are rude or oblivious of anything other than their own selfish wants. This may be what some think is shopping but I am positive I'm not the only one who feels like this place is a joke and gone way downhill from its days of old. Would rather support the local markets, farmers markets and places than this corporate chain operation. Understand it but sure don't get it. There are way less stressful shopping places than this. What a trainwreck. 2.5 Stars rounded up instead of down 01154
