So I've been having back pains/spasms indirectly or directly related to accident: appointment booking was about 1 1/2 weeks out when I called (which is understandable since it takes time to do fittings & final insurance approval once product type is confirmed) for a back support/brace fitting. They were on time and very informative. Patrick even had sewn a part of the brace to make it more secure for me and tailored to my needs. Patrick was very professional, caring and sweet. My doctor gave me a scrip for an Ankle brace and told I could pick up one at Hanger. I drove there directly from my doctors appt. I was told at the front desk they would not sell me one without an appointment AND the next one is 12 days from now. How does that help me?!? So, I'm going to buy one online. My poditrist sent me to Hanger for my diabetic shoes. In the first place, the earliest that they could schedule an appointment was for one 3 months in the future. As the date was about to occur I was called by someone at Hanger to inform me that my primary physician had not sent them and order. I explained that the referral was from my podiatrist, they informed me that they needed something from my physician that treated my diabetes. I contacted my primary and his administrative aide contacted me. I told her what the problem was and that I needed them to contact Hanger before my appointment which was right after the Memorial Day weekend. They sent me a message that they had faxed information in a timely manner. When I called Hanger to verify that they had received the fax they wanted to know what number I had faxed to turn in the information that they wanted. I told them that I was unaware of the number that my primary physician had used, the woman at Hanger became abusive and eventually "hung up" on my call. I have talked to my poditrist and he recommended that I make an appointment with Arizona Foot and Ankle because they have had a lot of complaints about Hanger. I will never use Hanger for anything. They are extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! NO STARS FOR HANGER! read more

Awful front desk service. Very unfriendly and Unaccommodating. It was unfortunate I was referred to this clinic by my doctor. Every single employee wears a mask as a chin strap. I guess the rules only apply to patients. I was 10 mins late to my appointment due to traffic I live 40 mins away. I'm new to the area only lived here 2 months and didn't realize how much traffic there was. The appointment was for my 4 year old who was diagnosed with a disability at a very young age. The staff is very uncaring and unhelpful to my situation. Not sure how they are with other cases but I wish I never wasted my time here. read more

Note that the clinic has moved to 3815 N 7th St. Phoenix. I require a leg/foot brace, and my treatment at Hanger has been nothing less than excellent. Reece Evans spent the time with me to get just the right fit for the brace. He evaluated my walking and helped with the shoes I wear to obtain a good fit. All this has resulted in a total elimination of falls, and far greater comfort. I would recommend Reece and the efficient staff for any prosthetics and orthotics you may need. This review is specifically for Wes Warren, Orthotist at Hanger Clinic. He was amazing. I can't give a 5-star review for the clinic itself, as the wait time was just a weeee bit excessive, but the staff DID come out and offer granola bars and water to the patients in the waiting room which was nice. Anyway, Wes absolutely does get a 5-star review from me!! He was very kind, knowledgeable, and had a calming demeanor. He fitted my son for his Pavlik harness in no time at all, and lent a source of calm to an already very stressful day (and situation). He also offered a way to keep in contact with him throughout the duration of my son wearing his harness, which is a major relief to any parent, to have a means of contact should we have any questions or concerns over the next few weeks. This has been my go to place for my daughter Lolli's prosthetics. Jillian, Matt and the entire staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and really good at what they do. They always go the extra mile to ensure that my daughter's prosthetic is fitted and adjusted properly. Mike S. I wish all Hangers are the same, unfortunately they are not. I came to the 7th st location from a recommendation, and I am glad I did. I was ready for a second leg, (socket to ankle). Having pistoning and fitment issues as well as a poor ambulatory rating. The minute I walked in Jilian noticed what was wrong, took care of problem, started process for getting new leg that fit my lifestyle and potential. The staff from the front to the back treated me with respect, Kindness and professionalism. Jilian and Abe worked quickly and efficiently to resolve any issues that arose. I am completely happy with the outcome and would recommend them to any amputee. They had an out-of-office get together at a bowling alley, I had a great time, and would hang out with them anytime. Not sure I would have been able to bowl as pain-free and comfortable had it not been for the new leg they got for me. I've gone to Hanger Prosthetics twice in my life. The first time was about seven years ago, and it's that time again. Just walking in and saying I need a new prosthetic was all that was necessary. We spoke about what was needed, what I wanted, and ultimately how the end product will be. Now since I've been wearing one for about eight years, It's obviously a lot easier for me and them. However, they are doing A wonderful job with fitting my socket just right. It's also nice to have new technology introduced to you before you make a decision. I have worked with Hanger prosthetics and i was dealth with professionally and courteously made my appointment and met Jim who was my rep. Jim was patient caring and kind. Jim actually listened to me. Long story short got my new shoes but one filler was missing on my right foot and there was a mix up with my insurance. I said I would call them and Jim so no Ill take care of it and call you ehen the issies resolved. Jim called me I didnt have to hunt him down ans when my new inserts were ready he called and because of a new medical issue I couldnt make it to the office and he said no worries ill bring them to your house and now I have them and jim put it in my shoe for me and greeted me with a Christmas Blessing. We had the pleasure of working with Wes while we were at Phoenix Children's hospital. He went above and beyond to get my son taken care of. He was patient with my son during the casting process. My son fought him every step of the way and Wes continued to be patient and friendly. He communicated with me the entire time letting me know what he was doing. When waiting for my sons new braces, he was in contact letting me know how much longer they would be. Which I appreciated tremendously as we live in Sahuarita. He worked hard to make sure everything would be ready at the same time. When we were heading up for an appointment at the children's hospital. Wes let me know he had everything and worked with us to accommodate our schedule. When fitting his new braces he took his time to make sure everything fit and made note of any adjustments. He continued to be nothing but caring and friendly. When adjustments needed to be done he went out of his way to go and make the corrections and was back in no time. He was very thorough in showing me all the adjustments and was very sincere in having me call him if anything needs to be adjusted. Having to see numerous doctors for my son, it is such a nice change to have someone like Wes on my sons team. He made the entire process smooth and not stressful at all. Zenida at the front desk was able to get us in after 4 when they were closed to walkins. We had attempted to go to one other hangar office and called another and they said they were closed because of inventory. We called the 7th st office and they said they were accepting walkins. And that it may be a bit of a wait. We arrived at the office and Zenida was able to get confirmation of diagnosis from our doctor and get us back to be seen. The doctor had left a code off the perscription. Jim was able to see us and is truly amazing at what he does as well. He was kind and very efficent showing us how the compression stalkings worked. I would highly reccomend this office to anyone. Thankyou for being amazing. read more

Not very happy with this company at all first interactions were bad thought they were going to make it right but Dave McKelenoff has went back on his word I guess he offered me the bebionic hand for there cost of around 10,000.00. I started working with the state of arizona vocational rehab when hanger sent over the quote to the state it was 95,000.00. Kind of funny that a yea ago they tried to charge my insurance 65,000.00 for the entire prosthetic and now all I need is the hand. Recently went to a whole different company won't mention them as I don't want there good service to be associated with the crooks of hanger, they offered the hand at 29,200.00 wow what a difference in price. Seems like once hanger seen it was state money they jumped to price to an unbelievable amount of money. Just sickening that they are trying to take advantage of people in the worst time of there lives. I would have given a negative 5 stars if that was an option. Judging by review, they have their issues...but my experience was positive. I'll break the review into two pieces, because I rated them quite differently... Front desk: Two stars. I agree with most of the reviews. Not a friendly bunch. Not very personable. I was standing at the window for a few minutes when the young lady walked straight up to me, looked down at the desk, pivoted and walked away. A simple "I'll be right with you" would have been great. I won't nit pik much further, but she should not be the face of the business. Back room: Outstanding service. We were walk-ins mid-afternoon for custom air casts for my 90 year old mother's two broken ankles. (Kinda important.) George M. (a certified Orthotist and clearly journeyman level) was kind and patient. Once he started the job, he stayed well after hours to get the fit right. Thank you, George. He even called grandma the next day to check on her. Very nice touch. Above and beyond. Much appreciated. The front desk has problems, but the back room (what really counts) more than made up for their shortcomings. read more

Absolutely horrible!! Office is staffed by cold, uncaring and stupid bitches. I had shoes fitted, approved and were at Hangar. I had surgeries on my foot so i couldn't pick them up Hangar called me to tell me they were in. I explained about the surgeries and told them to hold the shoes. I'd be there once i was cleared to wear them. AT NO TIME WHEN THE IDIOTS AT HANGAR CALLED ME DID THEY TELL ME THINGS WOULD EXPIRE!!! I went to pick up the shoes and was told they were sent back and I'd have to do the whole process again. I told the idiots behind the desk i had no shoes to wear. I couldn't work or get around. They just looked at me not caring just spouting procedures. THESE "PEOPLE" ARE THE WORST. STAY AWAY, THEY DON'T CSRE NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY!! Their service is awful and very slow. read more

I almost feel like an authority in writing a review for Hanger since I've been their client for more than 30 years. Being a polio survivor, I've using their services for many years. Have I always been happy with experiences there, no. But that's to be expected of any company that is going through transition as they did a few years ago when they merged with Hanger. However, the issues were small and annoying and nothing major; just growing pains. My general overview and recommendation is EXCELLENT! I've been dealing mostly with Mike Tracy and I can tell you, every person, without exception, has been courteous, professional and attentive. If you set up an appointment, they usally get you in on time or before your appointment. Now, I'm not saying the other orthotists aren't good, because I've dealt with a few, but Mike Tracy seems to genuinely care and takes the time to assess the situation to make sure you get the best service. In June 2016 I underwent a below the knee amputation at St. Joe's Hospital. That is where I was introduced to Hanger Clinic, specficly Jillian O. She consulted me about what to expect in the future and was amazing. She had me fitted with the need protective gear so I could begin healing. During my healing time she constantly stayed in touch and was always available to answer questions and even delivered supplies to my home. When it came to get my first prosthetic, she was ready and to say she was amazing would be an understatement. She assisted in maneuvering through the insurance process so I could get my prosthetic leg as quickly as possible. 2 plus years later, 2 prosthetic legs later, thousands of texts and phone calls later here I am... A client for life..... Jillian is and will always be the one I goto for my prosthetic needs. She is a valued asset to Hanger and simply said, an amazing human being. I love my experience with Hanger. I will never understand for the life of me why they allow the most miserable, burnt out employees answer the phone. I know everyone is going through something, but at the moment I'm dealing with my child's deformation and I need to know that the person who is handling my child's information gives at least half a care. If you hate your job so much you can't even fake it for clients, you need to evaluate your career choice. I can't support any company that doesn't put customer service at the top of their list. I called every week to see if the insurance company had approved my daughters claim and they kept saying that it takes 7-14 days. After two months they finally found that the fax was never received and guess who suffers in this case...not the employees because they still get paid, not the dr because they still get paid, not me because I don't have to deal with deformities. My daughter gets to suffer. read more

Horrible business. Stay away. My son requires custom orthotics. Molds were taken of his feet to help create these orthotics in November 2017. We were told it would take 6 weeks to get the orthotics. Flash forward 2 months later there is no record of the molds being created and of course no orthotics made. My son is in pain everyday. We have gone to Mike Tracy at this location for years. He is awesome! My sister has cerebral palsy who needs special shoes/orthodics. Mike comes through every time to make sure that she gets the shoes that fit her perfectly (which is difficult since one foot is quite curved).
