Rick was helpful and responsive from the inception of my contact with him by way of the Yelp app/messaging. I needed a very large and heavy mirror hung above my mantle where there were no studs in the wall. He offered a fair price and worked with me to find a convenient time within a week of my initial contact. When Rick arrived, he came with all of the tools he needed and completed the job, efficiently, within an hour. He even cleaned the glass on my mirror (there are 25 small individual mirrors in the piece), after hanging it. He was very clean and even offered some advice on a couple of other jobs that he would be able to take care of for us. I called Rick to hang a huge beautiful custom hand etched gold trimmed mirror that my FIL made for our new home, and also needed a ceiling fan or two installed. I was apprehensive bc the mirror has so much sentimental so value and was also very costly for my FIL to make, I was scared hiding any joe blow would be risking damaging/ shattering the mirror. I cannot say enough good things about this business. I had Nathan come out to the house to do a laundry list of things. I felt guilty because my list was kind of big and he just went from one task to the next with the nicest attitude. I had Nathan replace a ceiling fan, move a flat screen tv and conceal the wires, assemble a bedroom set so that it would work with my adjustable bed, assemble a portable water heater, put in a gate at the top of the stairs for our naughty dogs and install new drapery hardware in the bedroom. Each task was done like that was his specialty...I was so amazed at the level of competency on so many different tasks. I kept coming up with more ideas for his next visit. Rick was very professional and will be the "Handy Guy" of choice for future projects. We had Rick mount our 65 inch TV and install a doggy door into our brand new home. The TV mount we had was going to be off-center but he ended up modifying our mount so it would be symmetrical. He also took the time to check multiple walls to make sure the doggy door would fit between the framing. He laid down plastic and even taped the window shut when cutting the stucco on the outside of our house. When the installations were complete Rick cleaned the entire area and the room looked good as new. We will be having him come out in the future will be the handy man of choice for my family. I can't say enough good things about Rick. Emailed him on Saturday, he called me about 3 hours later. We needed a wheel chair ramp built and I wanted to get an estimate. Explained what I needed and he told me what materials he would get and how much labor was going to be. Very reasonable. Scheduled for Tuesday 9 am, at 9 am he called and let me know he would be there in about 10 minutes. He came, measured, went and bought all the materials and did the job all in about 2 hours. After he left we decided the ramp needed an edge on it so the wheel chair wouldn't veer off the ramp so I called him and he said he'd come back the next day. He came and put the extra piece on and he also knew we were having a bit of trouble getting up over the edge so on his own he brought a piece to correct that. Return trip....no charge. FINALLY I had my kitchen sink fixed after 2 1/2 weeks without it, it was a nightmare for me We bought a short sale house on a as is condition and underneath the kitchen sink has a mold. ServPro (Fallbrook) took care of the mold issues and took out the drywall with mold damage, 2 side boards plus the bottom wood and dashboard. Too sad because ServPro don't rebuilt stuff. But they referred me to some of the general contractors that they're using. One contractor said the job is too small for him to handle the other one said he can but since his schedule is pretty tight he can prob. do it within 2 weeks time. Really??? I'm not gonna waste my time just to wait for him, Even thou he quoted me a lower price. So I went on Yelp to check on the handyman that gave me referrals before and that was Rick, very nice guy, responsive, honest, reasonable price, and dependable. Even thou its his first time doing this kind of job he made sure that everything is functional. He rebuilt the dry wall underneath the kitchen sink along with the side boards, bottom wood, dashboard and the kitchen faucet. He even drove all the way to Peris just to get the right wood. So Rick deserve to have my 5 stars review. Thanks again Rick! Finally my nightmare of not having a kitchen sink to use is over. We hired Rick to remove and build two bathroom door jambs and baseboards that had been damaged due to water backup. He responded to my initial call quickly, scheduled a date, and was there promptly on the agreed upon day. Rick's work was impeccable as the two new door jambs are flawless. He took the time to make several precision cuts to erase any evidence of damage from the old jambs. The baseboards were also measured and cut appropriately. Rick was done in one days work and even helped finish some hallway baseboard and threshold work that was left undone by a previous contractor (for no extra charge).
