I am a little bit addicted to massages and pamper myself whenever I am given the opportunity, but more so, when I am in pain, I find a massage can do wonders to help me feel better... even if just for an hour while I am on the table. Enter my vacation to Flag and the fact that I'd been suffering from shoulder pain due to over-use for quite some time. Needless to say, I decided that I needed to treat myself to a massage during my trip, so where did I go to find said massage? Yelp, of course! I found some glowing reviews of Hands On! - both for Maggie and Whitney. I inquired about availability during my little window of opportunity and lucky for me, Maggie was able to squeeze me in... hooray! From the moment I inquired, I could tell that the ladies at Hands On are customer service oriented. I left a message and heard back right away both via phone call and email (per my request). And on the day of my massage, Maggie texted me to confirm that I knew where I was going, etc... The building happened to be easy to find thanks to my handy dandy Yelp directions, and I pretty much melted on the table for the entire 90 minutes I was there. Maggie is extremely talented and spot on in diagnosing that my pain was being caused by connective tissue. This was confirmed the following week by a Physical Therapist. I had a 90-minute specialty massage with cranial sacral work, Kat was my therapist. She was fantastic! It was my first time at Hands On, And I loved the beautiful space. Very relaxing and full of beautiful crystals in the waiting area. The treatment was great. I already booked my next appointment. Covid - It was my first treatment of any kind since Covid. I felt safe, and Hands On was doing everything possible to keep the space clean and neat. I wore a mask in the waiting area but took it off for the treatment. My therapist wore her the whole time. I made an appointment with Hands On! through their website. It was easy to navigate and took very little time, which was neat. I paid up front and had no issues with that either. I opted to have my appointment conducted by any available massage therapist and Shelby took me on as a client. She was very friendly with me and very professional. She gave me clear instructions about what she needed from me throughout the appointment and made me feel comfortable, gaining consent before she worked on areas which I indicated to her were sensitive (I experience back pain because of a sports related injury and it radiates throughout my body, from my feet to my neck). I would definitely choose her again if I were to make another appointment (I will be soon, I'm certain) and I'd also be willing to try other therapists as well. AMAZING!!!!! Simply the best massage I have had in Flagstaff. I booked my massage, via their website, with Judy. Upon entering you could feel the positive vibes. Judy & I talked about my goals, aches & pains lol (sciatic & recovering from rotator cuff surgery). Slipping onto the massage tables it's was just the perfect warm temp. Judy made sure I was comfy b4 starting my 90 min massage. Within a few minutes I knew I found my forever Flagstaff Massage location. My mind & body relaxed like never before. When Judy finished one part of my body it literally felt like that part of my body was floating. I also now know how cats feel (cats lovers will understand) when you are petting them and they just melt into you hand with pure joy. Judy was able to release my hip which released my sciatic pain. She also gently worked on my surgery arm and was able to get more range of movement. After my massage I struggled to form full sentences lol as I was sooo very relaxed. I was in Flag visiting for a few blissful days - it just seemed appropriate to get a massage. Checking out the places on Yelp - I landed on this place, saw the 5 star review and went for it. Like always, I can trust my fellow Yelpers. I asked for an appointment with Maggie and got an appointment before I had to leave back to Phoenix. Right when you walk in, it just feels good... there is a nice check in office area, and beautiful colors. (Loved the swirly painted walls). The Massage room was really beautiful and big - Which was nice because nothing worse then being cooped up in a tiny little massage room! The massage with Maggie was INCREDIBLE. She really loves what she does - I can tell. She uses all sorts of massage techniques (I don't know what they are called as Im a foodie not a massage expert) ... but I left feeling so relaxed... and mentally calm and invigorated. I was very disappointed with the customer service at Hands On Integrative Bodywork. I confirmed a scheduled appointment via e-mail and phone confirmations 24 hours prior to my appointment, but when my partner and I showed up for a massage we found out our second therapist didn't show up. We had been scheduled for a couples massage with two therapists (also confirmed by the owner, Michelle) but weren't able to get our massages since the other girl never showed up. The other therapist was sweet enough and took it upon herself to offer us massages at another place where she works - she felt horrible and wanted to rectify the situation, but it still would've been at full cost (and slightly more expensive than what we originally signed up for. Even more disappointing is that we never received a call from the owner later that day or thereafter explaining what happened or offering to rectify the situation. Scheduling shouldn't be that hard and I understand that mistakes happen from time to time, but when they do I personally expect great service from management and at least a phone call or e-mail. I'm sure the therapists do great work here but based on service, I can't recommend. read more

Wow. Judy fixed me right up. I've been on a month-long cross-country road trip and my neck/shoulder was really hurting. My mom and I scheduled same day 60 min deep tissue massages after several days of hiking and were SO happy we found Hands On! Samantha and Carlie were our massage therapists and both were lovely, welcoming and extremely talented. The location does not look like much from the outside but inside it is cutely decorated and calming. Samantha used many different techniques that I've never experienced before and targeted exactly where I said I needed extra attention. Carlie used yoga-like movements for my mom's massage to target hips and back which was great. I had my first-ever professional massage done here at Hands On. Online scheduling was convenient and easy, and I was surprised I could get a next-day appointment. Samantha did a great job with the deep tissue massage; I had so many knots that my knots had knots! When my (nicely affordable) one hour session ended, I realized that I could bend down and pick up my shoes without my back hurting for the first time in a long time. I have scoliosis in my lower back, so I asked for a bit more emphasis in that spot. My neck and shoulders feel a bit freer and I can sit up straight without pain. I love massages, in fact it's the first thing I do when I travel to a new place. It helps get me in the mood for being in the space; plus it helps relax the muscles and nerves jangled during travel. My friend originally found Hands On! and we agreed this is where we wanted to go. The website is a great source for information regarding the business and services they provide. I would imagine that booking the appointment is easy but I had a hard time due to our trip not being for over a month away (I was trying to book in Feb/March and we weren't going to be there until April). I sent an email asking a few questions and Whitney (owner) replied to me very quickly. She even set up our appointments. My friend wanted a120 minute massage with Reflexology and I wanted a 90 minute massage only. Whitney sent confirmation emails with 24 hours of our phone conversation, so we were set with our appointments. Two days before our massages, I received an email and a text message to remind us of our appointments. I forgot to reply to at least advise that we would still be coming. But truth be told, nothing gets in the way of my massage. We arrived 10 minutes before our service to fill out the forms and get to know our massage therapists. Kat was my masseuse, our conversation was calm and reassuring that I was, literally, in good hands! I found it easy to advise that the pressure she applied to my back, arms, legs was just right. I drifted off and caught myself snoring slightly. Once the massage was over, Kat brought me water and did something I hadn't experienced before....she asked me how I felt but also, did I have any thoughts about what's next in life (but she asked in a much classier way). No other masseuse has ever asked if I had any thoughts about the rejuvenation of thought and feeling this massage may have caused!! Loved it. I work in hospitality in Las Vegas, so that service element did not escape my notice. As my friend and I walked to the car, we agreed next time we're in Flagstaff Hands On! will be our go to place.
