They give you the tools, space and instruction to do it yourself. The prices can't be beat, by far. They have used or new parts (and take donations of bikes and parts) available in the workshop. I replaced 2 cables, opening one shifter, learning how they work and following how they are attached to the bike. It was a great experience. I had a goofy grin on the whole time. I was ecstatic to finally get down and dirty to the guts of my bike. The place is housed in an old police station with bikes surrounding the entrance, literally hanging around. I highly recommend bringing your used bikes here as donations and using the workshop to repair your bikes. It was so much cooler than just dropping my bike off to be fixed by someone, although they will do that for you, you don't have to do it yourself. It's just a unique option to learn while doing the work yourself.

Adult bikes worked on by the mechanics there generally run from $100-$200. They accepts bike donations year round, which they use as in their various programs. Every time I visit my confidence with mechanics improves. I never thought I'd be so excited to learn how to true a wheel! The instructors are very patient and explain things well. On most Sundays they offer specific classes, such as Fix-a-Flat, Bearings, Drivetrains, or Basic Wheel Maintenance. In the summer and spring they offer Learn to Ride for adults and kids. In the winter the shop is only open to the public 3 days a week but in the nice weather they are open for retail just about every day. Naturally there is lots of bike parking but there are a handful of spots for cars too, and otherwise easy street parking nearby.

Long story short.... $165 later I had a different stem and a seat that was raised. I asked about the bars being correct width for my shoulders and was told those size frames typically come with that width bar. That didnt sound like professional bike fit advice. First 20 mile ride I had knee pain and my speed and time was off. Some picture taking with tape on my hip, knee and ankle and angle measuring confirmed the saddle height was indeed too tall. Lowered it back to pre-fit height and all was good. Dec '25- In preparation for 4 months and hundreds of miles of Florida cycling, I took my bike in for Silver tuneup/service. In Fl. I was having intermittent issues with the rear derailer not downshifting all the time and then suddenly downshitting 2 gears. I spent 6 weeks adding and subtracting 1/8 turn on the barrel cable adjuster to no avail. Google search said possible cable hanging up in a bend so I unwrapped my bats and straightened out the rear shifter cable as much as possible. No change. Bought a chain gauge to check chain wear. No issues there. Out of frustration I took it to the lbs in Florida. Fifteen minutes later and $17 less in my wallet, its back to shifting perfectly again. The problem? The shifter cable wraps around something on the rear derailer. There is a groove for the cable to lay in where it wraps around and the cable was not in the groove. I spent $222 on that Silver service and I had to pay another mechanic to fix it. Not the experiences I had expected, for sure.

He asked if I had any questions and discussed bikes with me for a short time. He was knowledgeable about bikes as well as trails and where to ride. The shop is super clean with everything in it's place, neat and orderly. Quite a few shops I've been in things are piled all over in disarray so this was nice, easy to see what's for sale. There were accessories like locks, bells, seats, tubes plus a good variety of new bikes. The prices seemed really great for a bike shop. I can't write about service but I would definitely bring my bike here and try it if needed. The parking lot and entrance are in the back enter from the side street....easy peasy. I look at this as a great find....love to see bike shops around.

It's been since 2021 when we got our Citizen bikes and now have 1050 miles on them, which seems to us like a lot but we do NOT ride our bikes everyday. I've owned a bicycle as a preTeen when I'd ride the one way distance of about 23 miles from North Beach San Francisco to the Golden Gate Bridge, then through Mill Valley, then UP to the Mt Tamalpais peak, then speed down without brakes to Stinson Beach and lunch, then ride back at young age of 14 ! I was young BUT knew enough to stop in Sausalito for fish & chips at the then famous Arthur Treachers Fish and Chips! Those were the days! These days here in WNY I've so many flat tires on MY folding 16" ebike since we started riding our real bikes on various area biking/hiking trails since 2021! In ALL of my bicycle days of my past in Spain, France, but mostly in my San Francisco, I've maybe had two flats, back in those days when I rode on the streets and as fast as the cars next to me! Yesterday was flat number SEVEN on my 16" folding eBike and as I mentioned, we do NOT ride often, and on the bike paths we use, I'm always looking out to AVOID stones glass and bumps more than covid! What is it with these bike that is so "bad" I am getting so many flat tires? Are you experiencing this too where you bike? It took them about 35mins and it's as good as new.... AGAIN!

I'm an average height but have long legs for my height. Andy quickly realized this and that narrowed his recommendations down to bikes that would fit me specifically. After doing my research and test riding (even at his competitor's), I found the Argon bike was the best for me and bought it from Andy. He then got it all set up and did a final fitting with me too. He explained the little bit of maintenance I'd need to do as well. In the end, he spent several hours over 3 days with me and was amazing. I highly recommend him and this shop.
