I've reached out three times to their customer service for an over change and still not response :(

The gals at Natural Body gave me a 20% coupon for HIP. When I got to the cash register at HIP with 4 items totaling $400, the associate said she was unable to process the discount because it was for new shoppers only. I totally missed that detail. The associate called Mona and she said she would not honor the discount. I was on a splurge mission so I decided not to purchase anything. I feel like the disconnect was between Mona and Natural Body. They too didn't realize the coupon only applied to new customers. I think Mona should have honored the coupon and had a behind-the-scenes conversation with Natural Body. I went back to Natural Body, explained what happened and gave them the coupon back. They said, "typical Mona." That says it all. Jacq was great! read more

I've shopped here a few times and absolutely love the clothing selections! There are always so many cute styles and I appreciate that they have a good selection of sizes that fit my body. I will say it's a little on the pricey side but the quality of the clothes is worth is and if you're looking to splurge a little on yourself...HIP is the place to come. The accessories and shoes are also super cute and if they are low on inventory out front, someone is willing to check and see if they have any left in the back. Oh and let me not forget how awesome their staff is! Super sweet and they always make me feel so welcomed anytime I visit! read more

Oh, it is a good, good thing I don't live or work near this little gem of a store! My first visit today was more than enough to convince me - at first sight, or step in the door, actually - that it would be most dire if I should find myself in regular proximity of HIP. Cause it is. Hip, that is. Ha. Seriously, though, there were just a plethora of adorable things I wanted to scoop up and slap down the plastic to purchase despite my much-restricted-slash-non-existent shopping budget. Like the gorgeous, supple bucket-style and clutch bags by Melle studded with various metallic gems, in the coolest shades of grey and white. And this just-perfect-for-pale-little-me shade of orange necklace - a gloriously jumbled group of bead strands that hung perfectly over the top I happened to be wearing - and only $36!! Very hard to put that prize back on the display with a stern internal "No, CN!" Or the supple and oh-so-soft Michael Stars tanks and Project e Vintage tees - especially the black scoop neck with the rocker-cool angel wings on the back - *love.* And the jeans . . . yeah, they've got lots. I didn't really even let myself look at them. You'll just have to go see for yourself! Lots of jewelry- so much fun (and well-priced) play pretties!! Super-sweet sales girl, who was lots of fun to talk to and I was totally impressed overhearing her call a regular customer to let her know about a couple new pieces just in that she thought would be of interest. Without being high-pressure, she shared the "arrival news" with just the right mix of info and enthusiasm. Very well done. Oh, I can't wait to be in the money and on the shop again!! read more

For very chic and high fashion jeans go to Hand in Pocket Denim Boutique. They have a large selection of designer brand jeans. With the high designer fashions comes high prices so if you go, plan on spending some serious dollars. On average a pair of jeans costs $160 and some of the brands in store are Big Star, Citizens of Humanity, 7 For All Mankind, AG and True Religion. There are also accessories, shirts and jackets that can be just as costly averaging between $50 and $75. Hand In Pocket Denim Boutique is almost so chic that it should be in Phipps Plaza, however, its in the new One Ivy Walk shopping center in Smyrna. Hand In Pocket is a great boutique in the Smyrna area....its nice to have a place like this to shop near my home so I don't always have to trek into Buckhead for cute clothes. They carry a good array of merchandise...from some of my favorite more expensive lines such as Ella Moss, Tart and Michael Stars to more affordable lines....so there is something or everyone. I have gone in and found $200 dresses I love but also plenty of cute tops in the $50-$60 range. They have cute accessories too. The owner is great and I love when she is there working. She is really good at helping you pick out things that work for you and your body type and she is always suggesting things I would otherwise never try....and then end up loving. I feel like she is honest and I don't feel like she is trying to push things on me. Sometimes I leave empty handed and they don't make you feel like you aren't welcome back because you didn't buy something. The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because of the limited sizes they carry in some items. I realize that in order to carry a variety they can't purchase deep into size runs but a lot of times they have things I want and are out of my size M or L as it seems they might only get 1. I was very surprised by this little shop. The denim is expensive but you are paying to top brands. The sales associates are very friendly and helpful in there. To off set the price of the denim they have tons of great priced jewelry! I once went in with my 1 year old just to window shop while waiting for the rest of my dinner party to arrive and quickly found a necklace that I must have. I was dining at a nearby cafe when a cute pink dress caught my eye. I walked in, admired the pink dress and all the other pretty items the store offered and I fell in love! Unfortunately my bank account told me I couldn't purchase the dress and all the other pretty items in the store. But alas, I batted my lashes, gave the dress a wink and promised that I'd be back to take her home! Hand In Pocket, I don't why I am only discovering you now, but I am so glad I found you. Now that I live closer to Hand in Pocket (or as my Fiance likes to call it, "hand in his wallet") I shop here much more frequently. I absolutely love the ladies that work here, they're super helpful and nice. Whenever I need an ensemble I come in here and they completely outfit me and I always leave happy and receive tons of compliments on my outfit. For Citizens of Humanity jean lovers...fear no more! They got um' for ya! Can't complain. The girls help if you ask. They write hand written thank you notes. They carry a good selection of brands. Its not a tiny store so its packed with inventory. For residents of Cobb County this boutique is a no brain-er. read more

Don't bother. Went in to buy a few things I saw online and exchange a hat that didn't work out, never worn and tags still attached. Was told they don't exchange or credit hats- news to me since when I purchased the hat that was not made clear. When I questioned the policy, the woman working was rude and dismissive. Will not be going back! read more

I needed assistance in purchasing a birthday gift for my wife but had no clue what to get her. I decided to stop in her favorite store - Hand In Pocket - and was wowed by their service. The ladies had all of my wife's size information and helped me pick out a few great outfits based on knowing her tastes. Hand in Pocket is a good place to go for jeans and denim wear. Beyond that there is a good selection of the basics such as James Perse and Micheal Stars tops. The local jewelry show cased there is pretty cool too. Can be kinda pricey, these days if you look hard enough you can find great denim labels for pretty decent prices. Hand in Pocket does have good sales from time to time. read more

They should be more flexible on returns...especially if a necklace is broken.

I like this place the clothing is on trend and most pieces are reasonably priced but it is the accessories that made me fall in love. One of my favorite pieces is from here and the selection is always good. I love that this place is close to me and keeps me from having to run to the mall. Stop by and check things out, they always have the right piece for a night out. At a size 10 I can't really fit the jeans ...but they have so many other items its all good. read more

The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. Don't go in there expecting to leave with a bargain, but as much as I wear jeans- it is worth it. The selection is great and if you tell the staff what you are looking for they will help you out and give you some suggestions that you may not think will work for you, but they do! They even have some petite jeans...important if you short like me! Go and visit-you won't be disappointed, just a little broke. s~ read more

I have shopped and spent hundreds of dollars at this store now for years. It has a great unique selection of clothing. However, they have lost me as a customer and I am done. The owner or manager is always looking for a way around honoring the promotional discounts they offer. The first time it happened to me I purchased a pair of $100plus jeans online and $80 shirt at a 20% off entire store sale. Well, I got a call to inform me they were out of stock and were not getting anymore in but I could try a different style. I agreed and then asked if she would honor the 20% promotional code I used for my purchase on a different item, she would not! Even though it was the same day and at the time I purchased the items online it was "in stock." I almost stopped shopping there then. However, foolishly I returned but it will now sadly be my last. I received a 15% off storewide promotional email and decided to go into the store. Upon arriving the sales girl even said the entire store is 15% off. I purchased 2 sale tops and the owner/manager wouldn't give me 15% off because she said they were already discounted. Then I went online and it honored the 15% off discount even on sale items!!!! I called the store and she snaps back that's a mistake and it's been taken care of and won't work anymore and she wouldn't honor it because it was already discounted. Lovely customer service and very false advertising. Very sad. It was a great store with wonderful selection but who wants to shop at a place where you feel lied to and taken advantage of with false advertising. Not me anymore!
