Quite a reliable Korean grocery store with stock of things you may need. Prices here are sometimes better than other stores. It's never crazy packed. And the line moves fast.

Han Yang Market is a lovely Korean grocery to have in the neighborhood. If you're looking for Asian ingredients, especially Korean staples, this is a great place to stop in Austin. They often run solid discount sales, which makes browsing even more fun. The store isn't huge, but it's well organized and stocked with all the essentials you need for everyday Korean cooking, from snacks to sauces and fresh items. The atmosphere feels friendly and easy to navigate, and it's a convenient spot for quick grocery runs. Highly recommend stopping by, exploring the aisles, and picking up something new to try on your next visit.

My usual spots to get kimchi and side dishes. The premade food they have at the front is pretty good too. Kimbap and japchae noodles are my favorite. They have many frozen options including some seafood. Not a lot when it comes to fresh produce and non-frozen seafood and meats. I've never seen this store super busy, but I know it is popular especially for when you don't want to drive all the way to cedar park to a large Korean supermarket.

A local Korean market in the Austin area. You can find a lot of discounted prices for many items. Service is good. Plenty of parking.

We wanted to explore this market as we had driven by a few times. It's very clean and tidy. The aisles are well organized and we saw many new items we weren't aware of. There weren't a lot of gluten free items which is to be expected but it's fun looking either way. They have a dish section near the back too. Staff was friendly.

Hang yang is the best! They are a one stop shop for Korean groceries and snacks. The quality of their items is good and well priced. The staff is nice and helpful! This market is a gem.

They have almost everything you can ask for Korean essentials. Their pre made food is also tasty (plus, they can make party tray if you need to order big portion). The staff are very nice, although some of them don't speak English very well. It's a bit small but clean and organized. Make sure to ask them for their reward card, will save you money every time you shop there.

Japchae.. I ate a bit before remembering to take a pic.

Han Yang is absolutely my favorite Asian grocery store. People are super friendly and I love all their premade foods! The kimbap and japchae are my go-to's, but I've also enjoyed the tteokboki on occasion too. It's perfect for a quick meal or packing for a picnic. Han Yang's prices are also comparable to, or better than, H Mart or Ranch 99. If it's on sale at Han Yang, then it's usually a pretty good deal. They carry a wide selection of rice (the big 10+lb bags), miso paste, seaweed, etc. I also feel like they carry higher quality products, or at least they don't have trash products.. (e.g. the dumplings are actually meat & veggie dumplings rather than wrappers filled with noodles and soy filler with MSG). Full disclosure: I'm eating japchae from Han Yang as I write this and it's so good!! I might be biased...

Nice little neighborhood Korean grocery store. Veggies are pretty fresh, prices are decent. Nothing like huge H-Mart but a good little store.

Be sure to download the app to check out the ads. We came in to get honey ginger tea when it was on sale for a great price! I also came to get fresh produce and items needed to make bean sprouts soup. They also have a bonus card you can sign up for where you get a 3% reward on purchases over $20. You can redeem the reward once you get $5. Good deal if you shop here often. This grocery store is small and it's easy to find items here. They carry fresh food items too. I typically keep a good stock of items so I only come here for a few items I may need. You can find kimbap, japchae, rice cakes and other snacks near the cash register. I like to get the kimbap. Yum! I have had their rice cakes before and they are good. You can find marinated meats and a large selection of kimchi as well inside.

A lot of the canned stuff, like different types of beans, isn't really any cheaper than what you'd find at places like H-E-B. Fruits and veggies looked pretty standard, but the prices were oddly higher than in regular grocery stores. They do carry some interesting sweets, and I always enjoy checking those out. Coffee, though, was more expensive compared to other international stores I've been to. What really stood out in a bad way was the attitude of the staff. No one was rude exactly, but they act like they don't really want to be there, and definitely not like they want you to be there either. Product-wise, no complaints. But the vibe from the people working there? Pretty unfriendly.

My main complaint is that it can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to find one specific thing. The other issue is that so many items have mislabeled prices or none at all. This can be challenging when you're trying to stay in budget while faced with more options that you can imagine. Also, fresh prepared items don't necessarily have their ingredients listed which can be scary for less adventurous eaters. The store is generally easy to navigate even through some cluttered set ups.

Deli Rating: 3.8/5 [take out]…read more It was around 8 PM and we were just browsing the deli section when we noticed they were making combo bowls and placing them on the $6.99 shelf. We picked one up with pork ribs, roasted pork belly, bok choy, and white rice. It felt like a great deal, and since we hadn't tried the food here before, we figured why not. If you want to choose your meats, you can order directly at the counter. My husband got the 2 BBQ meat combo ($12.99) with roasted pork belly and honey BBQ pork. It came with bok choy and fried rice. The rice was pretty dry, but the meats were all equally good. The roasted pork belly is much better if you air-fry it and dip it in the sauce. The food is definitely on the unhealthy side, so my stomach wasn't too happy afterward, but nothing major. Overall, I still think this is a solid option if you're pressed for time.

One of my absolute favorites is their onigiri rice balls--I honestly crave them. I was browsing around anyway when one of the ladies kindly asked what I was looking for. I casually mentioned a few onigiri styles, and to my surprise she smiled and said they still had some left and could make them for me. That small gesture completely made my day. The kindness and warmth of the Japanese ladies working there truly stands out. You can feel the care they put into both the food and the customers. I also picked up some Japanese noodles and sweets while I was there, which made for a very delicious and comforting lunch at home. Thank you for the wonderful service and atmosphere. And I didn't know what to expect my first visit. I thought I was going into a mini Japanese version of H Mart or something, but nope. This is very much a Japanese CONVENIENCE STORE with a little extra bonus on the side, so adjust any expectations. SIXTY PERCENT OF THE STORE IS NOODLES. Like WTF...is this a noodle headquarters? It felt unbalanced...like I had walked into the wrong store and wasn't supposed to be there. So many noodles, it scared me. I expected a variety store. Carry on. The layout is also a bit confusing for such a small space. I genuinely wasn't sure what areas were designated for customers and what areas were for employees...at one point wandering way into the back. My bad. They've got a solid selection of imported goods. Slightly pricey, but this is expected since they offer quite a few niche items you can't find everywhere. Still affordable, though. I HAPPILY grabbed some black sesame latte mix to whip up iced lattes at home as well as some black tea flavored soy milk. This is what you come to these stores for! The niche items. Now to the soft serve: Flavor-wise? Good strong black sesame flavor. Texture? Not so great. This was very icy and not creamy at all as I had hoped. The online pics were deceiving. Plus there were clumps in it that should've been blended out. However, it was refreshing and I could MAYBE see myself returning on a hot day for more if I'm close by. They only offer it on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It's good, but no need to run for this. You can walk. Lol. It scratched the itch but I'm not running back for it. All in all, not an everyday stop, but an "I'll see you when I see you" spot. Know what I mean? 3 stars.
